Well here i am ready to be in disagreement again with almost everyone out there. What's the big deal about the new album?
My top 10 good things about it:
10.It's not Chickenfoot
9. No Sammy H.
8. Well, it IS a NEW album
7. It's not red and self titled
6. It's not techno
5. There's only one song with an oom-pah band
4. No one will borrow it
3. Track 3
2. I won't worry about losing it...'cause I won't care
1. Track 1, seriously a good track (and 5/4 time to boot)
Sorry Joe. This isn't the stuff I fell in love with back in "93 when I saw you for the first time on Jay Leno. I can still listen to your old stuff 20-25 years later. I'm sure I won't be listening to this one 20 weeks from now, let alone 20 years.
2 good tracks, 3-4 OK tracks, and the rest is forgettable at best. Love ya Joe, but honestly, to me, big disappointment.

Skippygirl- I've so many photos but the majority of them are on a bad quality, I'll pick the best ones and find a mean to post them as soon as possible.
The support show, Oli brown and band was nice, Joe's concert was sublime. New songs sounds so good, Unstoppable momentum of course, I'll put a storm of your cairn was a little bit extended, A doo into summer is a perfect song and was played perfectly, lies and truths' version was close to those of the cd, but the most remarkable were Shine on with a terrific version, Jumpin' in ( the bass section !) and jumping out with a wonderful distorded bass solo added into the break.
For the classic, they sound as if they were new songs, that's true. Cool#9 is introduced by a short drum solo, devil's slide which is not my favorite song was wonderful, Ice 9 and surfing were supersonic, Cryin is one of my favorite and made me cry for the first time since three years, the sound was so clear and so pure-
Crush of love and Always' were super-extended and according to me the best songs of the show.
The encore were amazing, Joe asked everybody to stand up and during crowd chant people were singing and dancing, going closer and closer to the stage. A 40 years guy next to me was crying. At the end of the show I was just in front of the stage, and Joe saw my drawing and smiled.
What a wonderful night thank you Joe, a big thanks to all the great musicians who are with you, it was so hard to get up this morning to go to that english exam....

Speaking of the show in Ottawa ... its 6/5/2013 and the presale ain't working for me. I'm old and grumpy and going to bed mad.
I'll blame this on the bastards at ticketmaster, and feel just a tad better. BASTARDS!!

I thought wife looked real sexy a couple months ago wearing her cowboy hat and holding her rifle. Don't get me wrong that thought stirred my manhood again. lol.
But tonight as we were driving home she kept cranking the stereo while we were listening to UM and man that was hot too.

10am (our time) eh1... good luck mang!
We were probably very near each other at Bluesfest when the stage fell over on Cheap Trick. I was against the rail watching Mike Manning scrambling to get covers on the amps & monitors, then security came and chased us off, just as well as I had noticed the ladder trusses swinging back and forth like a pendulum! Then the guy next to me said "Hey, didn't there used to be a stage over there?" & when I looked over to where the other stage had been there was nothing there anymore but a crumpled heap of metal. Glad we're all still here for the make-up show!
Let's keep our fingers crossed that the NAC doesn't meet with some kind of freak un/natural disaster, eh?
smooches,

Joe and Band,
I have been playing guitar for a while but I am new to electric guitars. I just heard "unstoppable momentum" and loved it. I would like to replicate the sound of the rhythm in that song but I don't know how. I wanted to know what is used for that song? Any specific pedals or amps?
Thanks!

I really hope Joe does another DVD on this tour. They have captured the last few tours, why stop now??!!
I would even be happy with just a live album!
I don't care what song it is, if Joe Satriani wrote it, and Joe Satriani plays it - it needs to be recorded and listened to, over and over! It was meant to be heard LIVE!
