hey dream3, you dont want polish or any wax on a guitar before its signed it needs to be clean...a little alcohol/test on back first...Please!!! Needless to say i polished once and the ink of the sharpee get pushed to the sides and eventually wears of no matter how careful you think you can be..lol

i sprayed thin coat Krylon clear coat directly over Joe sig on my electric rainbow and it looks great and playable but not shiny..i was told later use a higher end clear coat...anyways..... youll only really notice the spray if you guitar is solid colored but anyone who sees it says who cares..protect the sig.....fatten the tip on new sharpee...gl

Bluebuffalo: sorry to hear about your wife, hope things get better for you and your family. don't give up trying to spark a memory, you never know what could be the one to bring it all back.

Chicknefoot sound check was awesome! love hearing these guys just letting it flow out. the creativity is just incredible. could've wathced them jammin without Sammy for hours!

congrats to dan for the win. guess it was the votes that did it for the most part. the vid in first place wasn't even about Chickenfoot. if that would have won then it would have been totally ridiculous.

well just watched the Pats embarras themselves again! i said it last week and thought about it the week before. the dynasty is over!!! once again it was the secondary who couldn't defend against the pass, even with a rookie QB! oh well this season is "Down the Drain" and unless we pick up a secondary offseason we can give up on next season too! not sure i can even watch the rest of the season. i have patience but they are really weak!

So was it one of the T2Jers who won the guitar? I am extremely out of the loop. Need a little brain salad surgery. Too much load on a simple mind lately.

Joe, I envy your shirt folding technique.

I thought I was going to see a Chickenfoot concert...told ya I been outta the loop.

Enjoy the week folks.

just saw Gary Hoey perform on his Ho Ho Hoey Christmas tour. Simply F'n INSANE!!!! I've been listening to him since I heard Hocus Pocus on the radio around '93, but this was the first time live. His sound setup was perfect: amp stack ear splittingly loud and the tone was clean with little to no feedback. Like cranking a CD in the car. He, his drummer and bassist played tight and furious the whole show while jumping around the stage and playing the crowd. Got to meet Gary afterwards and he is totally cool and laid back. Best night/ guitar performance I've seen since either Joe's '98 Crystal Planet or maybe the '00 Engines tour. If the tour has a date near you definitely go. Anyone who likes guitar will have a guaranteed awesome time! just passing an opportunity on to some fellow guitar addicts ;)

JOE: Lookin forward to updates on new solo material my friend!

Chelle- Daughter's leg is doing a lot better. PT has the knee working back into shape as well as the ankle joint. The incision wound on the foot did not heal well but after the permanent cast was off we were able to improve that to the point she is out of the woods. Walking some in January we hope. Probably with a permanent limp but that's better than not walking at all....Thanks for asking

Now that all crops are out, it's back to the guitar on a more regular basis as well as the gym. Life should slow down after the holidays.

Improving on working in and out of scales/modes although my brain may not recognize which mode it is. I guess that's OK, as long as it sounds good. Trying to stay away from Minor Pentatonic when noodling around. Seems to be helping me break out of my rut. Just wish the old brain worked as well as it used to.

I have probably heard before but is there a place on the Ibanez website or any other for that matter, to run serial #s for the purpose of finding out which model /year you have.?

Burly, great news about yer daughters progress. Foot injuries are usually slow to heal because it's the fartherest (is that a word?) point away from the heart. Long way for the blood to pump, especially if she's been immobile. PT does wonders, so don't be surprised if it all comes back to her and she's right as rain at this time next year. What they say and what the human body can accomplish are two different things. Give her hugs for me.

As for me, I have 4 days off...in a row! lol! It's like a gift from God I tells ya! These past 4 days at work have been like Black Friday on steroids! I'm so glad the end of the year business has blown up like it has. Hopefully that will save somebody's job come the new year. After December it gets scary. Last January they chopped 14 people. At this point we don't have any bodies to spare, but that don't matter to them. They cut people and make the remaining people work 10x harder to do the jobs of all those that are gone.

Anyways - Let's dance!

Joe,

Is there going to be a new tour around europe any time soon, because I'm 12 years old from england and have been playing guitar for 8 years but when I tried to get tickets to your solo show in London 09' they were all sold out. It would be awsome to see you live in concert, especially with new material!

Bluebuffalo - good vibes to you and your wife. That's an awful thing to happen, but I'm sure it'll fix itself for you both, and sooner rather than later. Something will click and open it all back up for her. Hang in there.

Milkesb - Im scared to click your Toe Jam link... isn't that like fluff that gets stuck between your toes??

Skippygirl - that was a bit flukey with the Proclaimers thing. I'm not a fan, just to be clear. Avatar looks impressive. Let me know what you think if you see it first please

How was the pippettes performance? I thought you were saving that one for your band : )

BTW, I asked about down under... I asked three in one and I think it was my email : )

Blue Moon - FotoSizer... a freebie, and quite handy

Do The Stu - Seriously? Coldplay for Best Rock Performance? Is that for THAT rock song?

Don1963 - I think the winning vid captured the essence of CF fans. Waiting in line to see the guys, then watching them rock out. Seemed like a fair choice to me, guy was in the right place at the right time

Cheese101 - you're right, I do wanna, will be getting to emails in a bit. It's a titch complicated... btw, did you see Joe's face when the fan asked that virginity question? He sidestepped it very subtly, good move. Did ya hear my questions from JL? I assumed they were mine... now I've read on a bit, maybe not?

Michelle - is your head no longer a balloon like Friday? How many pages behind are ya now lol

BTW - don't you mean Lets Dance ?

I was actually expecting your post to be Lets Dance ..... put on your red shoes and dance (and here comes a comment about red shoes going perfectly with the red dressing gown.... right)? lol

Dream3 - hey mate, I thought JL read my questions out until I read your post... now maybe not. What time (to a millisecond) did you send yours? JOKE!! Please don't answer that... congrats on the signing!

Burly - email me all the details on the guitar, including the model and I might be able to assist in some way.

BobCliffe - hi! Did you mean Joe's solo tour in 08 or Chickenfoot one off this year? sign up for email updates, there might be some shows of some sort next year, most likely Chickenfoot

Still wondering why the advent calendar doors have to be all randomly placed!?

What if there's a power cut and I'm trying to find the next chocolate? If the doors were in order finding the treat in that scenario would be made so much easier.....

arggghhh.... formatting failure on links

elpp: even if they make the playoffs what good will it do? they have no secondary! it will be a slaughter!

burly: wishing your daughter all the luck my wife broke her ankle badly in two places 2 years ago. had 7 screws and two plates put in to hold it together. all is good now after a lot of PT. hopefully your daughter will recover all her movement.

michelle: Macy's cut the staff so much the clothes have piled up to the point that there is as much stuff to put away as there is on display! all the regular supervisors are in a constant state of stress and i'm walking around whistling like nothing matters lol!

Pip: they line up like that at every Sammy show. got vid from when we went down of the party on the streets and us getting drunk drinkin Cabo from the bottle!

well i guess its all over for Chickenfoot for now. gonna have some people going through serious Foot withdrawl. at least we have all our vids and audio of the 5 shows we did! that and a ton of great memories caught on video and permanetly burned into the memories! still say it was the best summer of my life and definitley the best five days between winning the backstage passes in Connecticut and the Meet & Greet we had in Boston! thank you Joe, Chad, Mikey and Sammy! and a special thank you to all of Joe's staff for getting us into the Boston Meet and Greet after we were left high and dry in New Hampshire. Chickenfoot rocked our asses off in the spring and summer of 2009!!!!

You're the best Joe! I actually had a dream last night that you were visiting my friends house after a gig. We all hung out for a while, then I ran across the street to my house to print out a pic I have of you and JR taken in AZ a few weeks back. Man, I love that picture! He sent it to me after the show in Phoenix and it makes my heart so happy :-) Anyways, I couldn't find the pic on my computer (in reality I know exactly where it is), and by the time I got back to my friends house you had left...without a hug or the picture! lol! How my brain thought up that dream is beyond me. lol! I don't live near that friends anymore. He lived next door back in the 80's, not across the street like in my dream. The picture is real, though why I had a dream about it is anyone's guess. Anyways, hope John sent you the same pic and you know which pic I'm talking about. Two happy NY buds from way back :-) Ahhh, I love it! lol!

McDave - this one's for you!
