DO THE STU, hey i was scanning the messages and i saw you were talking about Joe Bonamassa. i saw joe at the King of the Blues contest finals at the house of blues. It was pretty good. however, if you want to be blown away, get the dvd live at rockpalast. i think that is what its called. it was a live performance at a german club in 2005. it was really a great show and i have watched it a bunch of times. you can probably find some clips on you tube.

Peas Lily, Yay! Way to be! It was easy, and even a little goes a long way. I can't even imagine what those people are going through.

.

Someone titled this one Years In The Rain lol!

T-Bones, This one's just for you!

Listened to Sigur Ros today and this I have definitely heard beforeSTARALUR BUT where? Radio ? Tv? idk......

Thanks "everyone" for the prayers and positive thoughts. I was feeling pretty down this morning....more down than my pop's appearing to let on. I should be ashamed of myself people are facing tragic circumstances with courage and I was in a woe is me mood. ( I do that sometimes) :-)

Cappy Steve- I am sorry to hear the rough go your dad had before he passed. I have more empathy for people than I did as a yougster . What does'nt break you.... ..makes you.

Michelle - Glad your dads check up went okay. Hope your mom feels better.....

edit- missed that" Years in the rain" link earlier...thats funny....kinda feels like that in my part of Oregon lately ...lol

punkdude75 - I'm not much of a fan of At The Drive In, to be honest (or Sparta, the other ATDI spinoff). I really LOVE TMV though.

Peace Lily - That song was featured in the 2004 film The Life Aquatic. It's not on the soundtrack, however.

It is good that there is at least a primitive translator from Russian on English. There is a possibility to communicate with you thus. :-))))

Forgive please me, for my carelessness and ignorance of English language. My condolences. I did not know it certainly, but is assured that such son can be only at good mum.

Have fun at NAMM Joe!! Betcha some vids show up soon after :)

Peas Lily, we all have those days. Every now and then we actually put ourselves before others and have to "feel" what's going on instead of fussing over everyone else. You can't forget about you, even though others might have a harder struggle. I say have a bit of time to feel it, get through it, let it out, then move on. Hugs to ya.

Skippy, HA! Joey one. lmao! That's funny. How many Joey's are there?

T, noooo, I'm not an A.I. watcher. Not even a little bit. Found it on youtube while I was looking for God know what? lol! Paula & Simon are more than I can handle.

Dream 3- watched your link this morning . What a little trooper! He played his little heart out . the look on his face when Ellen gave him the guitar was like he was totally awestruck. I hope he keeps that joyful love of playing and does not burn out .

Cheese- We definitely don't get Corvallis amounts of rainfall.... it is not that green here. Winter is the season with the most precip. ,seems little more than usual.

Skippy- Happy belated B-day to yer lil Joey one. My yougest turned 18 last friday... but he still has 1 more year of High School so he won't be" flying the coop" too soon. lol Hope your guitar playing is coming along good for you.

Glitzman- Good luck with your running.

Well, gonna go to Grooveshark and put on some JS ..... i'm having withdrawls. lol.

Good day all,

Finally caught up on like 15 pages after the holidays, thought I'd add my two cents to the Bonamassa discussion... The Royal Albert Hall DVD was good, and one of his greatest achievements he said, but if you are looking for a DVD, I have A New Day Yesterday Live as well as Rockpalast and RAH and I can't watch anything except the ANDY Live DVD. It was recorded in a small club in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, back in 2001 before he got as big and famous as he is on the RAH DVD. Also, he plays Fender through most of the ANDY Live and Rockpalast DVD's, and has now switched over to Gibson, and IMO he had a much better sound when he played a Fender. As a bonus, on ANDY Live, he plays a SWEET cover of Are You Experienced?!! I think Jimi would be proud. When the older DVD's were filmed, he had what a lot of people felt were a better rhythm section than what he has now. And finally, I've read a few complaints on the editing of the Rockpalast DVD. You know, the 3 seconds and switch, have a seizure trick. I haven't watched much of it, so check youtube for clips of whichever DVD you're thinking of buying before you do just to make sure you won't end up at the ER.

Now if it is just a CD you be looking for, I would recommend Live from Nowhere in Particular. Kind of a greatest hits of live stuff. Of course, if you have money to spare, I would say get A New Day Yesterday Live on DVD (CD is a little different from DVD set list) AND Live from Nowhere in Particular. You won't be disappointed.

Ian
