hey all! been a while hope everyone is well.

was just checking out some of our pics from the CF tour and noticed that the guitar Joe was practicing on at the meet and greet in CT looks alot like the new one Joe and Ibenez just came out with. is this the new model or was it an older one i haven't seen yet?

Joe is Joe. Chickenfoot is Chickenfoot.

Should Chad change the Peppers site to be like Chickenfoot's too?

That's just silly.

silly?...lol...listen miss silly....theres a reason why it seems rarely anyone new participates in this site...mainly because of the unfriendly format. If you dont agree with me fine but adding features like automatic website links isnt silly ...like your comment....i would like to see photos and videos posted like the Chickenfoot site...and the hundreds of others...its isnt just Chickenfoot...try going to another site for once in your life....its pretty standard stuff..lmao

here a pic of my Js Electric Rainbow...its a js-100 bought on ebay...a real basket casr..frets were bad...changes pups and have to change the bridge some day (again) and maybe i would play it again...now its just art..lol JS-ER

I'm shocked...I think the rain actually stopped for a while! It's supposed to pick up again in a few hours though, and keep going through Friday. The only time I left my apartment today was to walk downstairs to get the mail. I ran some errands yesterday and so many intersections were flooded. It's insane.

We got about an inch and a half of rain yesterday, which is half of the monthly average for January...the flooding is unfortunate, but we really need the water so it's good.

axeshredderjc - Awesome guitar...thanks for posting that photo. And you've probably shared them before, but can you post better shots of your autographed Satch things to the left of the guitar?

And about the message board here, I see both sides of the argument. I like the free-flowing format, as I think it makes it easy for people to be honest and say things they might not otherwise. The signal to noise ratio can get pretty bad sometimes, but the "one thread" format also keeps the board from getting so busy that no one can keep up.

Then again, when you have a proper message board it's easier to talk about certain subjects (CD/movie reviews, quick poll questions, etc.) than it is here. I love Mike Portnoy's forum for that reason, for example.

But I've been here since 2000, and people like elpp and michelle have been here even longer...so clearly something about this format is working. ;-)

Listening to: Garbage - Only Happy When It Rains

I put a rain-related playlist together for today...fun stuff. :-)

Just joined that site. Joe is going to be here in Salina, KS with the Hendrix show on March 15th. I was going to enter my attendance to have a chance to meet Joe but it is not on the list yet. I hope to meet him though. It is not often that people like Joe come here and as an aspiring guitar player I would love to ask him some questions

Listening to Led Zep Mothership whilst we make dinner at the beach house. Peeps in the house like Davy Knowles I just have to Satchify them a bit more :)

ha! you all totally bust me on my failed linkage fu. yes it's true, i got used to the chickenfoot site and forgot to add in at first. as joe moves focus to his solo stuff so does the focus on the web site shift-- i suspect that when he next goes into the studio (no, no specific plans yet on that), that's when i'll look to migrating satriani.com to drupal, like the CF site is.

that said, the T2J may stay very much the same-- joe likes the stream of consciousness vibe of how it works. but we likely will be extending some other features and looking at bringing in more useful tools for everyone to interact.

WHY ATHLETES CAN'T HAVE REGULAR JOBS....AND SHOULD NOT RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE

1. Chicago Cubs outfielder Andre Dawson on being a role model: "I want all the kids to do what I do, to look up to me. I want all the kids to copulate me."

2. New Orleans Saint RB George Rogers when asked about the upcoming season: "I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

3. And, upon hearing Joe Jacobi of the 'Skin's say: "I'd run over my own mother to win the Super Bowl," Matt Millen of the Raiders said: "To win, I'd run over Joe's Mom, too."

4. Torrin Polk, University of Houston receiver, on his coach, John Jenkins: "He treats us like men. He lets us wear earrings.."

5. Football commentator and former player Joe Theismann: "Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."

6. Senior basketball player at the University of Pittsburgh : "I'm going to graduate on time, no matter how long it takes.." (Now that is beautiful.)

7. Bill Peterson, a Florida State football coach: "You guys line up alphabetically by height.." And, "You guys pair up in groups of three, and then line up in a circle."

8. Boxing promoter Dan Duva on Mike Tyson going to prison: "Why would anyone expect him to come out smarter? He went to prison for three years, not Princeton."

9. Stu Grimson, Chicago Blackhawks left wing, explaining why he keeps a color photo of himself above his locker: "That's so when I forget how to spell my name, I can still find my clothes."

10. Lou Duva, veteran boxing trainer, on the Spartan training regime of heavyweight Andrew Golota: "He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning, regardless of what time it is."

11. Chuck Nevitt, North Carolina State basketball player, explaining to Coach Jim Valvano why he appeared nervous at practice: "My sister's expecting a baby, and I don't know if I'm going to be an uncle or an aunt." (I wonder if his IQ ever hit room temperature in January.)

12. Frank Layden, Utah Jazz president, on a former player: "I told him, 'Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said, 'Coach, I don't know and I don't care.'"

13. Shelby Metcalf, basketball coach at Texas A&M, recounting what he told a player who received four F's and one D: "Son, looks to me like you're spending too much time on one subject."

14. In the words of NC State great Charles Shackelford, “I can go to my left or right, I am amphibious.”
