great song Blue!

michelle; sea dragons are extremely difficult to keep. i had a salt water tank with fish and live plants and it was a chore to keep up. my wife wanted the sea horses and when we looked into what it takes to keep them we decided against it. it got expensive just replacing the fish that died the sea horses would have been way too much!

couldn't agree more peace!

glitz: so that wasn't the new axe, oh well thought maybe he was testing it out before it was released. my wife is a big facebook fan. me, i just can't seem to get into the social sites. i like it here and this is about the only place i interact with others online.

not sure how much of the nasty stuff i've missed here but the only thing i can say is, there's enough crap we all have to deal with in life as it is, why take it in here too? not everyone can be friends with everyone else but that doesn't mean we should make them enemies!

wrote this based on just this topic. sorry if it's a little long. if this kind of thing is unwanted here just let me know and it will never be seen again!

The Path

When we first start we are taught how to walk the path, though some have to start by themselves. There is no one to show them. Still they have to start. Most of us are guided as we walk and shown the clearest way to go, though we don’t always listen. Some are misguided by ignorance or corrupt minds and their paths made harder because they couldn’t know. As we walk the path we see other paths that go in every direction, criss-crossing our own and each other. At every crossing we must decide which path to take. Sometimes our choice is good and the path is easy. Sometimes we discover we have made a mistake. Still we must continue on our path. Some paths are easy with flat ground and beauty surrounds us. Some are steep uphill climbs full of obstacles that are hard and fill us with dread. There are paths that have been cleared and prepared for the lucky few, and they walk with ease. For most of us it’s a little of all of these. We can look back on our paths to see whence we came. We cannot look ahead of us to see where we are going because there are so many twists. For each way we turn can lead to a different path without us knowing. We see others who are walking their own paths. We know not what path they have traveled, though sometimes we assume we do. Did they have an easy one or one just like you? What obstacles did they overcome to meet you here? Can you be certain that you know? The further down the path you go the more complex the route becomes. Even the ones that are easy at first can lead to blind turns or even dead ends. Then you will have to turn around and start all over again. Of all the paths you can take with all the choices you can make, the best ones are those you walk with someone beside you. And as you walk you can invite others to walk with you. When you help each other there are no obstacles that can’t be overcome. Sometimes as we walk we may lose someone who wanders off the path. Although we call to them to help them find us, they may not come back. Still we must continue our walk. As time goes by we begin to lose those who may have walked with us. Their path has come to an end even though we still see our path ahead of us. Sometimes someone may choose to stop walking their path. Sometimes the choice is not their own. Still we must continue on. We continue our walk in the rain and wind, sleet and snow, when the path is hard and all uphill, and when we get lucky the going is easy and the bright sunshine is on our face. That is why we are here. To walk our own paths and to experience and share what we encounter on our individual journeys. Hopefully when we have walked as far as our path goes, we have experienced more good than bad, more love than hate, gave more help than hindrance and were privileged to hold the hands of those we loved as we walked down these paths called life.

Don- I enjoyed "The Path" ...very much. Thank you for sharing it. Hope the path is not too steep for you and yours.

Glitzman- Facebook can be a good way to catch up with friends and extended family. Drawback is alot of peeps are into the different games on FB and every body wants you to send them stuff for their game. I don't play the games, athough nothing wrong with the games if you like 'em. I post my music stuff ....stuff from ilike etc. My nieces and nephews are on there so we all kinda keep up with each other now.

I wanted to hear this today...............

Repentance

good song.......

Peace Lily: Thanks for your input on Facebook.

Anybody else have their input on Facebook?

just saw a movie called Food inc. it was good, but deeply disturbing. its sick what the major food companies do to meats and other foods. So I decided after watching it I'm joining Joe and going on the vegan diet.

I was at work today in the break room, and all of a sudden this song started playing in my head. What a great song to relax to! I haven't heard it in a while, so I have no idea why it popped in there? Fantastic tune! Gotta love dat Joseph!

Glitz, my input on Facebook - I don't have one. lol! #1- I didn't want to talk to the people I went to high school with when I was in school. Why the hell would I want to talk to them 28 years later? If we were good friends then, we're still friends now. #2 - I'm not lost, so I don't need to be found. #3 - If I want to talk to somebody, I'll holla through phone, cards, email, text, twitter, t2j, and occasionally smoke signals. #4 - See answers 1, 2, and 3.

On that note - M. London, thanks for the invite. lol! You know where to find me :-)

Peace Lily, Ohhh, good song! Glad I clicked the link. lol!

Don, I figgered they were hard to keep, which is why few people have them. I'd be crushed if I'd have some and they'd die. They're so cool. I'll read The Path in a bit.

Austin, It really sucks that they're booting Conan. I know he's getting an ass load of money for it and will prolly get another show in the fall, but the entire thing blows. I had this as my desktop for about 2 weeks. lol!

MegaBoyd, the best prescription for anything that ails ya is more Joe! Sorry about yer layoff.

Now I have a queue of Dream Theater tunes lined up for listening. lol! I love Grooveshark! Song playing - As I Am, then Erotomania and Home.

Hey Joe! I think RIDE would be a GREAT song for Chickenfoot to cover! then we could all get to see you play it live again just like the F.I.A.B.D tour! And the mean harp too, and no worries as Sammy takes over the voice.... Ba da boom just a thought.
