Mcdave- Thanks for your link, pardon my ignorance but I had never heard of Sonny before. Wow ...spent 20 min. on youtube watching clips of him. Have to say his playing is very enjoyable.

Ok, this is for all the gearheads out there, yes you to JOE. I have a line on a couple of JSX amps, a 212 combo for 725.00, or a complete stack, head and two cabs for 800.00 USD. Now I really don't need the full stack, but I figure it's such a good deal, that I could sell one cab and actually make some money off of it! My biggest question ( for those that know) will the half stack sound better at all, than the 212 combo or is it a toss up? I really need some input here!! Tony.

Peace Lily....I just recently stumbled upon him looking for some tips on slide playing. Seems like a good starting point for me.
smokintonye....I think they would both sound good. After that it's just a matter of preference. I would personally go with the combo as it is easier to haul around.

Ummm...thanks?
smokintonye....Actually, I take that back sort of. If my amp had casters on it, it would be easier than the half-stack. But it's nothing but a back-breaking prick right now..lol.
Sir_Loin..funny, but not a very pleasant mental image.
And my next question. Should we humor this person or ignore them? lol..

McDave- Yeah I heard they are pretty freakin' heavy. I was hoping the guy with the full stack would sell me just the Head and 1 cab, but he doesn't want to seperate them! 800.00 bucks is just so Damn cheap ,it's hard to pass up, wish I could buy both!! I suppose the combo is more practical though......Decisions,decisions.LOL!

JR - You've posted more in the past day than you have in the past six or seven years...keep it up! ;-)
erosfilosagape - I'll let him give more details if he wants, but since Joe mentioned it here years ago...yes, they're one and the same.
McDave - Cool video...thanks! He reminds me a lot of Steve Morse / the Dixie Dregs for some reason, even though he's pretty different.
smokintonye - Go for the combo...you can always trade up later.
...Austin...

fatape--Thanks for the kind words. Some days are better than others. Today is better than yesterday. Thankfully I have a guitar teacher who is understanding and patient with me. Must have had something to do with JOE.
Thank you, JOE. You taught Ry very well about being the best guitar teacher in the world! He loves the guitar and commnicates that very well to me.
I get to see Joe, Jeff and Stu at Slims on Sunday! Just a few days away! My sister and hubby are learning about Joe and his music and they like his sounds......AWYAWM and SEARCHING and YOU SAVED MY LIFE.......HOUSE FULL OF BULLETS and so many more!

Austin .. true. Quite the captive to the net these daze, .. working from home 24x7. Also teaching local, happy to have a Piedmont style student again .. I find many folks not too interested in this older stuff.
I see some great pick up discussions on some players I've always liked as well, pleased to see where this goes. Joe Bonamassa, has great range, and if not known he did get the heat it up one time with Satch,..would have been cool to see that. gear talk, don't laugh I have a 1970's 'uni'vox wah, still works, amazing.

as for reverb/delay...i use a boss delay , reverb and a bbe sonic maximizer through the loop..i will never unplug them...lol...gl with your choice

Hi JR... I was going to say welcome, but I see it's actually welcome back. What's kept you away for such a long time?
Smokintonye - I'd say go for the head & cab combo. Shame it wasn't two heads huh (cos two heads are better than... ). Are they identical cabs? JSX cabs or other?

Michelle, That was amazing! For some, a bicycle was meant for acrobatics........all kinds of cool moves! I don't think Steve Vai does that kind of bike riding!
Listening to REVELATION! This song makes me want to get up and dance!
Thanks, Joseph!
