Just got home from work to find Davy Knowles new DVD in my mail pile. YAY!

edit: Just finished watching the dvd. WOWEEWOOWOOO! It's sooo good! If you like Davy & his band, this is a must have! He even gives a shout out to Joe & Chickenfoot & "a lot of tequila." lol! What a talented kid! Absolutely brilliant if I do say so myself. At the end of the show, he does something special, and if yer a crybaby like me, you'll need a tissue. I'm so glad I ordered this one. I feel all warm & toasty. lol! Great band. Davy reminds me of my ol' cat Lumpy. He was a Manx too ;-)

Buy it!

Hope everyone here had a Merry Christmas. I've been down with the flu for a few days and am just now getting back to normal. First time I've been sick in at least 10 years!

Anyway, I had a very cool Christmas... I got tickets to the Experience Hendrix show in Mesa, AZ, It Might Get Loud on DVD, the new Kiss album and $1000 to put towards a new amp!! I went out and bought myself the new Journey DVD "Live in Manila", and am thoroughly enjoying that as well. That's all the music related gifts, and I have to buy a ticket to Arizona to see the show, but that is worth it I think.

If you say buy something, I better look into it.....Amazon?

My grand-daughter is out of the oxygen tent and doing so much better, she may get to go home with her parents Monday Or Tuesday. I want to thank all the peeps that sent prayers and good vibes, it is greatly appreciated. Hope every one had a great Christmas , I know I did.

I didn't get any music related gifts but I did get a major upgrade on my computing equipment and also faster internet . :-)

I am going to look into getting the Davy Knowles DVD, it sounds great.

Also, I wonder what Chad is going to do now that John Frusciante is not on board with the "Peppers" ?

Al, it's better than waking up in somebody elses clothes with the taste of *insert foulness here* in yer mouth. lmao!

Hi 5!

GG2, Manx cats are the best. I had one for 17 years. When you see the end of the dvd and the bonus bits, you'll understand what I mean. He's a homesick kid visiting his home and realizing just how much he missed it.

scubz, hope the dogs are okay. Sounds like a hurlathon. Happy Birthday!

Peas Lily, now that's a great Christmas present! Give the youngin' some lovin' for us here on t2j.

T-Safley drives safely on Sundays.

It is Sunday, isn't it? *looks left, looks right, shrugs*

snipet from Music Radars 200 list of great thing of 2009

#59. Has 2009 been the year of the 'supergroup'? Sure seems like it. First there was Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith making up the unlikely foursome that was Chickenfoot… …and then there was Them Crooked Vultures. Dave Grohl, John Paul Jones, Josh Homme… The line-up was even more unexpected than Chickenfoot's but the trio unleashed a debut album that rocked hard despite being a year late. Expect to see more of these birds next year.

year in review/ June snipet

Chickenfoot was this year’s second supergroup and the release of their album in June was preceded by colossal hype. The ‘foot, made up of Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith, went on to play a series of smokin’ sell-out shows, one of which resulted in the fire department being called out (really). Satch caused further fuss in June by breaking his longstanding alliance with Peavey and switching back to Marshall for amplification.

speaking of Marshall, Joe, you said you would explain more when the time is right...its clear youve changed but is there any more work with Peavey?

just checked out Them Crooked Vultures...talk about a bad zeppelin copy!...now thats overhype!...chickenfoot blows them away...hahaha

you say?.. aye?..j/k means just kidding...how old r u?..funny how u ignore all my posts and when you finally comment its a backsided insult...whos the chicken?

..lol..i do like the band and alot of other things but surely getting a tattoo of anything is a kind of childish thing, i met an old man when i was young...he had some nasty, purple looking, wrinkly tattoos and gave me the advise...ill pass...wheres your tattoo..i would think one of you's have joes face tatoooed somewhere...lmao..i once thought of a guitar and a big long chord..and an amp..but again...kinda chidlike thing..as a graphic designer any piece of art can get old and tiring if you see it everyday.

"A 2006 a study done by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found that 24% of Americans between 18 and 50 are tattooed; that's almost one in four. And the survey showed that about 36% of Americans age 18 to 29 have at least one tattoo!"

I'll be in the sandbox with the rest of the kids :-)

ive seen much worse Scuba, those are pretty cool.....many have them updated by tatt0o artists that realy can enhance or cover with a new image.

Well Michelle, those stats leave out alot...i would guess that if you asked all those tatooed people if they could remove them in 5 seconds , what percentage would say yes...my guess it would be in the high 80%....i have quite a few friends that say the same thing as Scubadaz...3 years later it was a mistake...and by your reply, you do have one...come on and show us!

if i did get one, i guess it would be a small music note...i could live with that.....temporary tattoos are very popular these days...wonder why...lol...i did a sign for this tattoo guy that was approach by a cable station to do a show...really ritzy place...big money in it these days..the idea of just the chickenfoot logo works as most will see a peace sign
