Al: It's not that I couldn't be happy without you, Peg. It's just that I couldn't be happy. Perhaps that is the true Bundy Legacy.

Peggy: I thought the true Bundy Legacy was underwear with just an elastic band.

Night peeps!

That's a cool little piece on band rehearsals. I never really said anything about it here, but with all the Chickenfoot shows I saw over the summer it did bug me that Sammy was never there singing during soundchecks. Though now that I think about it, it kind of makes sense...why should Sammy be standing up on stage while Joe is trying to figure out which one of his dozen pedals is buzzing because of the way the building is wired?

That doesn't work as an excuse for mediocre singers, but Sammy's obviously on a much higher level than that.

cheese101 - Actually, I'm in the same boat as Cappy Steve. I've heard tons of good things about Joe Bonamassa as well, but I don't own any albums and am not sure where to start either. I guess the live DVD mikesb mentioned is as good a place to start as any?
elpp - I can see the special being a DVD extra, but they'd probably only include it on the season 21 set. So we'd have a long time to wait. What type of internet connection do you have at home? And on your work laptop do you have AOL IM, or another messaging program that allows you to do file transfers? I could send the video file to you that way, if we leave our computers on overnight.

Also, just a reminder that the Simpsons season 20 comes out on DVD tomorrow. It bugs me that they're going out of order with it, but oh well.

...Austin...

Al: hell yeah!

BTW, between the Sigur Ros vid that Austin posted and the one u posted last week (fever ray, thx Lily!), u have all now freaked me out. Never going near water again...

And yet I liked them both...

edit: didn't see Michelle and Austin had posted.

Austin: At home I have an HSDPA wireless card from my cell carrier. Decent, but I get charged by the Megabyte after a certain amount, so not an option. At work we have all external messaging blocked, firewalls at the corporate and plant level (yes, we are paranoid jejeje). Don't worry 'bout it dude, I'll find the way. Thx again!!!

Now here's an oddity for y'all,

a co-worker friend of mine wants me to give her guitar lessons. We'll start tomorrow.

So here's the big metal kid, DT fan, learning to play Oasis and Coldplay songs because that's what she wants to learn...Stand By Me (the Oasis version, not the one we all know) and The Scientist to start. Good thing that I was able to find the tabs rather quickly (thanks Saint Google).

oh well, at least it's not Mexican Banda songs :) night all!

After watching the Joe Bonamassa vid this morning (thanks mikesb) I am wondering why I had never(except for maybe on Pandora radio on the Joe Satriani station) ever listened to him before.

Still have my favorite Joe , but this other Joe pretty darn good...... lol....

Never heard of Sigur Ros before , I'll check that out tomarrow . and Fever Ray is a bit addictive...............

Time fer bed,

good night Satchland

Skippy- Thanks for the Cash. Had not seen that vid before. It was good to see him get to work with many of the "New Generation" late in his life. My grandfather has always been an excellent singer and is making as many recordings as he can. Karaoke of course. I never noticed until these past couple of years, until he started to go through it, but they see a sence of urgency to fill up their lives with things they never took time for. Kinda makes you wonder why we as humans wait too long and never get to do things like that.

Chelle- Your husband in an accident? Hope he is doing better.

Best wishes all

Hey, Joe

The Namm Show is coming up January 14th to the 17th. I'm pretty sure you know that already, but I can't help thinking....

Are you going to announce/introduce your two new pedals at the show?

Can't wait to see what cool new pedals you have in store for everybody.

Burly, no, no, no. My hubs if fine. It's Gilby Clarke I was talking about that was in a motorcycle accident. Thanks for the well wishes though. I'll pass them on to him ;-)

***All my prayers and good vibes today are going out to Al's mam. She's losing one of the twins today and some lymph nodes with it. If y'all could join me in sending good vibes and prayers to Mary, that would be fantastic. Breast cancer (and cancer in general) sucks!

Holy hallucinations batman !! That was quick shipping. I bought my guitar slide on EBay friday morning and it was in my mailbox this morning ! Not only that, but the seller included 3 guitar picks of various thickness and four pages of info on alternate tunings and chord construction theory (which I really did'nt need)...but still. All that for $5 and free shipping !

Good Morning Satchland.... What Up?

Cappy, You'll become a Bonamassa junkie...lol.... Trust me. He's simply the best Blues/Rock guitarist out there. His vocals are so strong and his guitar tone..... well, second to none in my opinion. When my dad died I had the pastor play"Asking Around For You" at his service. Listen to that song and you'll understand. I have all of his DVD's and cd's including his first and out of print 'Bloodline" cd which had the sons of Miles Davis, Robby Krieger, and Barry Oakley in the band. We cover "Stone Cold Hearted" from that cd with yours truly on lead vocals and guitar.

Asking Around For You

Stone Cold Hearted

Enjoy My Friend......

Have A Great Day Everyone .......

Edit: Those linky things bit me ass again....... I can never get those right the first time......

Funny thing is, how many millions of people are screaming for a cure for cancer? How many are screaming for more war or millions to play feckin ball for a few months of the year? It's not just the gov't that's effed. It's across the board.

Alan..hope your moms ok

Scuba...Rock music is pretty much about the guitar but some singers have a composers mind and do like to direct..(makes guitarist job much easier)..but its the musical ideas that are the guitarists responsibility...singers usually feed off of guitar riffs..i feed off of drum beats but lyrics and bass parts really do nothing for me as an influence...thats why ive always said that a great drummer makes the band...everyone else adds to it..yes there are exceptions
