Do I see a gear discussion on T2J? It's been a while...nice! :-)
axeshredderjc - It's been several months since I remember hearing anything from Joe about pedals, but I think he said he had two that were just about ready to go. This VOX video from NAMM does show only one open spot, though...I don't know what's up.
The Twitter picture (this) does look like it could be a high-end octave pedal. I don't know if there could be any copyright problems, but maybe the POG technology is patented? That could kill the pedal completely.
More importantly (not really), what will it be named? Down, Down, Down or Up In The Sky? ;-)
McDave - I hear you about being behind on music. I still haven't watched/listened to the Satriani Live CD/DVD all the way through. I need to get on that, so it's out of the way and I can watch the Paris DVD right when it comes out. ;-)
GoldenGirl2 - Cool...it'd be great if you can post the setlist here after the gig. I don't know if it'll only be a short G3-ish setlist, or a longer jam/guest-heavy set like The Cliff Show was back in 2006.
One more thing you can do...say hi to the pole for me. If you've never been to Slim's, you'll know what I mean once you're inside.
Listening to: Porcupine Tree - Up The Downstair (current song: Synesthesia)

My 2 cents on the Joe /Peavey split wonder if it had anything to do with EVH being a big part of Peavey now cause i find it rather funny Joe Joins Sammy and Mike and all of a sudden Peavey dumps Joe or Joe dumps Peavey how ever it works but would be nice to hear from Joe what happened.

VOX Joe Satriani Big Bad Wah Review
Joe
I know you don't build vox products, but I do want to know that have you test it first few days and then the parts of it kinda wore off and then the pieces broke off of the pedal.. I heard many bad review on this big bad wah product and basically alot of big bad wah users said it was built with cheap parts and if you open and peak inside? it don't look like a real pedal at all.
Can you fill me in on this?

Smokintonye: I'm almost in tears for you.. To have a js5 and pawn it!!?!?? Man....
Carol said 9 painted originally for Ibanez. Only one more was painted after that as a favor for someone. She doesn't have the template anymore - it's been lost.

I know, how stupid to pawn something like that. you wanna throw up a little? I got 500 bucks on it! I did have every intention of getting it back, but I could not come up with the cash in time! I also had no idea it was so rare. I was maybe 20 or 21 years old.. I had no idea man! I was just talking to Rich at Ibanezrules.com about it. He says they made 20, and he says he has only seen one ever go to auction. I also keep trying to get him to give me a Value on them, but he won't tell me says I'm better off not knowing!
Now I'm just an unemployed guy, trying to get some equipment back again, so I can start makeing some money doing what I love!

If thats what it is can I get a free one for guessing it right Joe?

hey smokin i know what you mean about pawning a great axe and regreting it! when i was a teenager (long, long ago) i bought a Guild S60-D. it was a beautiful guitar and whenever i showed it to anyone who knew guitars it was always like wow can i play that. well i pawned it when i was about 20 to pay some bills and regreted it ever since. found out recently that it is a rare piece and worth big bucks now. i'll never pawn an axe again!

Smokintonye - don't feel too bad. I don't think anyone at the time bought them realising how sought after they'd be. That sure wasn't the reason I bought a Ltd, I just wanted a JS and it happened to look ultra cool
Michelle - I've stopped talking to myself now so you can ignore ignoring me : )
... and now, some Steve Vai and Orianthi. Haven't watched the whole thing yet, just thought peeps might wanna looky

It's funny how after...what, like 17 years it still makes me sad. Makes me wonder where it is today? We just need a Time Machine, so we can go back and kick ourselves in the Ass! :) for being idiots. Oh well, life goes on. Now I just wanna get a Regular production JS, but it will be a while before I can afford one:(

Wooleyman - Check out Orianthi on Wikipedia for more info.
Lately she's been known as "Michael Jackson's would-be guitarist", but she really is so much more than that. I've known about her for a few years...I saw her open for Steve Vai twice in 2007.
She can PLAY, but her album doesn't really sound like her. It's overproduced and poppy...argh.
Here's a video of her from that 2007 tour:

Damn i failed on the I just wanna rock paris sweeptakes :(
2 questions wrong, How many times has Joe Satriani been nominated for a Grammy Award for 'Best Instrumental Performance'? The website where i looked forgot to count 1 i think :P
And this 1: The Grand Rex Theater, where this concert was recorded, is the largest single movie theater on what continent?
I entered the country instead of the continent pretty stupid because i live on that continent.
But after all its about his wonderfull music wich i can enjoy every day. And hope i can see him fast in the Netherlands because i never saw him live yet :(
Greetings from the Netherlands and hoping to hear a lot from you this year Joe!!

Good day all,
In case any of you are interested, there are still autographed copies of the DVD/CD package available if you order through here. I ordered one yesterday and called back today and the man said they still hadn't sold 200 so I ordered an extra. Always like to have one that I never have to open.... You do have to order the 'package' DVD/CD (cheaper that way anyhow), and the autograph booklet is on the CD only, but that's better than ordering through Amazon and getting nothing. And, ordering here with expedited shipping vs. Amazon with two-day shipping is only two cents difference. Probably best to call first to make sure they aren't sold out before you order, though. (1-800-294-0432)
Also, I found decent quality torrents of Chickenfoot live in Chicago and LA during the road test tour. The sound is actually quite a bit better than I anticipated when I stumbled across them.
