Are ALL those graphics throughout the entire video? Fux sake man, let Joe be Joe, not some glowing out of focus guitar guy with an overkill of 60's graphics. That's my band they're effin with!! lol!

That said on just seeing one song, I'll see what it looks like on my tv tomorrow and see if I eat my words. I hope I do.

Aww, that gives me warmz for gg2 and Steve :) Any time anyone gets to meet up with Joe is a GREAT time! And BONUS!! A Cappucino with yer Joe!! Lovely :)

Those guys never disappoint :)

Chelle, u'll get yers before I gits mine, cuz remember, yer 3 hours ahead of me you BRAT!!! But....I shall allow it just this once :) Getting excited over here!!! WOO WOO!!

And ps, chelle, have u noticed that, speaking of glowing, that Joe looks like he's got lil "antennaes" of light comin out the top of his head from time to time on the video? I'm supposing it's his alien connection revving up on stage...we normally can't see it but with these special effects, they can't hide!! That's my story and I'm stickin to it!

Michelle- I don't know for sure but I think I kinda like the glowing Joe.........Lol... That being said a whole DVD of effects might be tiresome but I thought Joe's playing was absolutely jaw dropping.

Cheese- I think your right about Joe ..........ha ha, I think we've seen those lightrays before.....

Peas Lily, Joe's playing is always stellar, which is why there's no reason to throw in all that other who-ha. I wanna see their expressions and emotions, not a glowy blur that hurts my old eyeballs. lol!

T-Bones, You need to move. lol! We have a Best Buy less than 4 miles away too! Just another reason to pack up the ol' Focus!

TONS of marijuana found in the back of a truck not to far from here. Dats alotta weed!!

Wow, my son's new jam band just finished a 20 minute feckin tune. lmao! They go down there and just jam away in a kind of jazz/funk kind of haze. I gotta tell them to put a hole in some of those jams for some solo stuff. It's great tho cause there's no Cookie Monster screams. lol! No vocals at all, so it's all gravy and the hubs and I rather enjoy it.

Dave: Gotcha on the Uncle Frank & Aunt Jack. It's been a while since I've seen Mrs. Doubtfire.

Skippygirl: I just got back from doing an easy 10 mile run. The weather is in the 20s-30s (thank gawd the wind wasn't blowing). I'm also trying out one of my two new pairs of running shoes. I'll wear my other pair later in the year or until next year.

Michelle, Peace Lily, and Tracie: My Amazon order is being shipped out as well. Can't wait until comes! WOOHOO!!!

GG2: Thank you (and Steve) for the info on the benefit/concert. Amazing that you got to talk with Joe and some of the other musicians. Kudos to you both.

Michelle: A drug bust? Good night! There's too many drug busts around here (in this country). I've heard about all these things on the news.

Tracie--I dig your story and I stand by you in that! Thanx for your comments about the meetin' up with Joe and Jeff. It was so beautiful just to hang together and talk about now and how great and special that moment is/was.....to be accepted just as I am. See what happens when I just go out as I am...not as what I'd like to be Mrs. Perfection. And I think Joe is so perfect because I want to be as good natured as he is and as easy going, generous and happy! But just being with him in the moment.....seeing his example....that means the world to me and hope I soak up all the joy and qualities I see in him.

Michelle--It's just like you said--great hugs......warmly given and received! Good times! I got my sway on last night and my feet still haven't touched the ground!

Blue_Moon Alan--You mentioned Eddie Money. I don't know anything of his whereabouts last night.......I only know either the Alameda All Stars or Billy Satellite did a cover of one of his great songs........I WANNA GO BACK AND DO IT ALL OVER, BUT I CAN'T GO BACK I KNOW-OH!!! That's the beauty of Eddie Money........I was so high from meeting Joe, Jeff, Stu and Jeff's wife....Waaaay Heh! And hearing this Eddie Money classic!!!!! Great times!!

Youtube: Andulasia (Live In Paris DVD 2010)
(yes a lot of those bloody childish FX: sometimes it's realy beautiful coloring (4:43) of stage/musicians view, but covering all with "tie-dye" or fractal paterns (5:34), no thanks! It's too bad, because this DVD has some stunning camera angles and close-ups, so it's exactly the one that didn't need much FX added or "fast and exciting" editing)
Listening to the CD -all day!- doesn't have those distractions :-)

I watched the "Live in Paris"-DVD last night and I really enjoyed the sound and Joe´s playing (as always!!) It looks like the band and the audience was having a really great time with a great show. That is also the way I remember it at the London- and Copenhagenshows which I attended.

B U T . . . .

I have to say you guys made a BIG mistake on the picture side of the DVD. It is overloaded with special effects and flashing and distorted pictures. It´s like watching a really bad MTV-video - only this one lasts 2 hours plus!! Watching it to the very end was a pain, but I kept hoping for a steady picture...... but that didn´t happen!

One of the joys of the previous live-DVDs was watching Joe´s fretwork and facial expressions up close but with "Paris" that experience is totally ruined.

Hey Joe, if you ever read this message, for future DVDs please go back to the high standard of filming as on the previous DVDs, and cut out all the flashy stuff because with "Live in Paris" the clipping/cutting/editing is no less than a disaster.

I noticed though that Jeff at the end of "Summer Song" did a small solo, just like he did in Copenhagen! - What a pleasant surprise that was for me personally. He really made my day! Who knows, Jeff may even get to like doing solos some day....

All the best..... Lea in Denmark

Dear dogs and cats,

The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep.. It i s not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

(1) They live here. You don't.
(2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.
(3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
(4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they
(1) eat less
(2) don't ask for money all the time
(3) are easier to train
(4) normally come when called
(5) never ask to drive the car
(6) don't hang out with drug-using people
(7) don't smoke or drink
(8) don't want to wear your clothes
(9) don't have to buy the latest fashions
(10) don't need a gazillion dollars for college
(11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

GuitarVibes, Blue_Moon, Canadian Cube and everyone who got to view the Live In Paris DVD--Thanks for warning about the flashy special effects stuff. Steve knows for certain flashing lights and special effects don't trigger his seizures. Sleep deprivation and stress are more likely triggers......and the meds he takes limit the activity of his seizures. So no worries there.

The little I saw of the vid has me wondering where the creaters of the DVD were going with this. I agree, the music and Joe in a more natural "motion picture" is more representative of the essence of Joe and his music.

Steve and I need Jon Luini's help getting the pictures posted here. Or maybe just post them in the photos section of this website. Steve and I don't have as much time to learn all the details of transfer/import/export technology.

I've got to learn to be me and not try to be Mrs. Perfect.....then I can relax and be in the moment much more often.

Glitz Man---Thanks for thinking about my Steve and inviting him on here! ;-)

Remember: you can always listen to the CD 8-)
but it would have been great if LIP was more the registration style of Vai's latest (HD), but with the cool on stage camera work on LIP

Blue Moon: do you also prefer the smaller 6105 frets on JS1200?
