Just started college again woot!!! I think teachers should show some short of enthusiasm when teaching it makes the class loads better. Some of the teachers I have look like they're so bored and one of them is mean, and on the first day i mean really. COME ON!!!!

Just joined that site. Joe is going to be here in Salina, KS with the Hendrix show on March 15th. I was going to enter my attendance to have a chance to meet Joe but it is not on the list yet. I hope to meet him though. It is not often that people like Joe come here and as an aspiring guitar player I would love to ask him some questions

Axe - wow nice guitar do you mind if I ask how you got it painted?

Austin it's 36deg C here tomorrow, sorry to hear you're wet we're drinking in the sun just spent the afternoon snorkelling off Portsea watching stingray and weedy sea dragons and puffer fish ( so "Nemo") . Listening to Led Zep Mothership whilst we make dinner at the beach house. Peeps in the house like Davy Knowles I just have to Satchify them a bit more :)

ha! you all totally bust me on my failed linkage fu. yes it's true, i got used to the chickenfoot site and forgot to add in at first. as joe moves focus to his solo stuff so does the focus on the web site shift-- i suspect that when he next goes into the studio (no, no specific plans yet on that), that's when i'll look to migrating satriani.com to drupal, like the CF site is.

that said, the T2J may stay very much the same-- joe likes the stream of consciousness vibe of how it works. but we likely will be extending some other features and looking at bringing in more useful tools for everyone to interact.

WHY ATHLETES CAN'T HAVE REGULAR JOBS....AND SHOULD NOT RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE

1. Chicago Cubs outfielder Andre Dawson on being a role model: "I want all the kids to do what I do, to look up to me. I want all the kids to copulate me."

2. New Orleans Saint RB George Rogers when asked about the upcoming season: "I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

3. And, upon hearing Joe Jacobi of the 'Skin's say: "I'd run over my own mother to win the Super Bowl," Matt Millen of the Raiders said: "To win, I'd run over Joe's Mom, too."

4. Torrin Polk, University of Houston receiver, on his coach, John Jenkins: "He treats us like men. He lets us wear earrings.."

5. Football commentator and former player Joe Theismann: "Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."

6. Senior basketball player at the University of Pittsburgh : "I'm going to graduate on time, no matter how long it takes.." (Now that is beautiful.)

7. Bill Peterson, a Florida State football coach: "You guys line up alphabetically by height.." And, "You guys pair up in groups of three, and then line up in a circle."

8. Boxing promoter Dan Duva on Mike Tyson going to prison: "Why would anyone expect him to come out smarter? He went to prison for three years, not Princeton."

9. Stu Grimson, Chicago Blackhawks left wing, explaining why he keeps a color photo of himself above his locker: "That's so when I forget how to spell my name, I can still find my clothes."

10. Lou Duva, veteran boxing trainer, on the Spartan training regime of heavyweight Andrew Golota: "He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning, regardless of what time it is."

11. Chuck Nevitt, North Carolina State basketball player, explaining to Coach Jim Valvano why he appeared nervous at practice: "My sister's expecting a baby, and I don't know if I'm going to be an uncle or an aunt." (I wonder if his IQ ever hit room temperature in January.)

12. Frank Layden, Utah Jazz president, on a former player: "I told him, 'Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said, 'Coach, I don't know and I don't care.'"

13. Shelby Metcalf, basketball coach at Texas A&M, recounting what he told a player who received four F's and one D: "Son, looks to me like you're spending too much time on one subject."

14. In the words of NC State great Charles Shackelford, “I can go to my left or right, I am amphibious.”

Hi, My name is Skyler. One of my best friends is graduating at the end of this school year. He is graduating in a little village in Alaska called Ouzinkie. I am originally from there too. For years now his idol has be you Mr. Satriani. You inspired him so much to play the guitar and he absolutely loves your music. He tries to make his music sound like yours all the time. I have been thinking of things to do for his ceremony and I wanted to do a slideshow for him. It is just an idea I had thought about. But, if it wasn't much trouble, I could perhaps persuade you to make a short video encouraging him and congratulating him. He is possibly one of your biggest fans. I am willing to pay if it is necessary. I hope that you would consider it at the most. I appreciate the time you took to read this. Thank You

Skyler

Blue_Moon Alan--"its not the firggin middle ages here ya mad woman!" So right, young man! It's the traditions that last for centuries! And I think it would be fun to hang out with friends around a bonfire anyways.....in the "old country".

Where's your sense of romance???????? ;-)

Guitarvibes--One day soon I will get to read what you recently posted.......let me dig out from under my the stuff on my desk! LOL!

Joe--Thanks for referring us to Doctors w/o Borders.

My unsolicited 2cents........ To no one in particular....... ......WE all have to be willing to take responsibilty for our OWN actions and not worry about Who we perceive is doing What.........'cause none of Us (myself very much included) R perfect in that regard.........

I really do like this place ...I have learned about and listened to so much of Joe's work because of the things that have been posted to this forum. I have been exposed to the work of other artists and expanded my musical library. I have heard many points of view that challenge me and make me think... I have felt comforted when expressing a concern I have had and have hopefully been able to offer a comfort when needed to someone else. I have laughed my _ss off at the humor........ Any way I love this place ..".Joe's place"....where we all meet & talk. And hopefully continue to.

I'm not much of a Conan O'Brien fan, but did everyone hear about his $1.5 million "Bugatti Veyron Mouse" skit last night? Here it is on YouTube (it starts at 1:30 into this clip):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr6mOGPDceQ

Awesome!

Peace Lily - Not to get too mushy, haha, but I'm very surprised (in a good way!) that you've stuck around here at T2J considering how it was you discovered Satch. As I said in an earlier post, I've been posting here a long time...so I've seen a lot of people come and go. We had a lot of hit-and-run visitors posting on both sides of the Coldplay thing last summer, just stirring stuff up and never coming back. It's great that you're still here.

Peas Lily, I couldn't have said it better myself. *hi 5* Nice find on the video. Seeing Joe with hair and no hat is odd. lol! I can't help to think of Gene Simmons. lol! I love Joe's bald head. lol!

MegaBoyd, how ya been? What's new with you?

Skippy, I had to google what a sea dragon was. lol! Doesn't look very dragon-like to me. They're just frilly little sea horses. lol! At the local pet store they have a tank with 3 sea horses in it. I could watch them all day. Such amazing prehistoric looking creatures. I would love to have some in a tank in my home, but I have no idea how to care for them? I actually took a decent phone pic of one about 2 weeks ago. Maybe I'll post it on twitter. Have a great time!

Don, she's wicked big, and even more wicked ugly! lol! Whatever she wants, you better give it to her! lol!

webmaster :- I agree with scubadaz and Don1963. The T2J forum works fine the way it is. But that's just three of our opinions so if the majority are happy to change then so be it.

Keep up the good work regardless.

Thanks , Do The Stu, that was so kind of you to say. Truth is when I first heard " If I Could Fly" my ears" fell in love" so to speak. I had to hear more Joe and so I did. Now I am addicted....Lol ! My only regret is that it took me too long, I missed some awesome shows I could have gone to :-(

I first heard that song late 2008 on you tube..... the newspage I read every morning had an article about the lawsuit and a link to hear "If I Could Fly". I then spent and still do spend alot of time watching Joe on You Tube . Still constantly amazed and enthralled ..... so any way........yeah here I am...Lol.

boy did i open the can of worms..lol...well i said update the site..not change it all....someone put those words in my mouth.

Thanks for clearing up some details Jon...and glad to hear some updates are on the way.

I agree with keeping the T2J the same, only due to what i see out there on the net...people like attention and like to see the reactions and like to bump them to the front of conversation. Here you can be ignored very easily...and also accidentally. ...and useful valuable posts disappear . If thats a good feature well, im kinda surprised........ Joe has billions of fans and only a handful participate here. ..but again...i agree a threaded T2J would probably create issues.but fixing the linky thing would be an appreciated gift..:)....and spell check..lol...edit, edit, edit

The photo and Video page is the best feature a band or a musicians site could have...and i think Joe deserves the best if not the better....i imagine a js guitar page that could be mindblowing....especiallly if Joe posts there...but its all about Joe and Guitars...when a site becomes someone personal blog...well thats freekin boring....you can say its worked for years...well only for a very few...but thats my opinion....ignore me as usual.

Austin- In the process of framing my Chickenfoot collection...ill post all pics when ive completed it..thanks for your interest! ..also i agree with yr clear comments on the site...well put.

Skippygirl- I bought the js-er on ebay already painted by a girl known for Js designs....here name will probably be posted after this...i can never remember it.....this guitar is an early js-100 with a mother of pearl JS inlay on the neck...ive never seen that on js-100's before....the frets were so worn , I had it refretted...clearly this was a well played and treasured axe by someone. Its also signed on the back because when joe grabbed it he thought i wouldnt want it signed on the front....now thats silly!...hahaha

cool new links on the I just wanna rock page...awesome video fx filming
