"..lots of oldies here." .. Emm? Huge difference on how old your life is, vs. how old you live your life... You can become old, while yer' young if not careful .. The body&mind never invented the clock.. :-)

I like playing with 'younger' players .. until they get tired that is ;-) Remember Kieth .. 'Happy to be here,..sh, Happy to be Anywhere'.. Lol!

Michelle- Cool find, I am suprised the site had escaped notice till now . I had not seen it before either.

Cheese- Awesome interview.....somehow it cheers me to know Joe has not played Guitar Hero........

JR- I like how you put that .......I will remember those words of wisdom.....some times I live a little "old", I think.

Sammy Hagar was on "Celebrity Ghost Stories" again tonight. I'll try not to go into too much detail this time, but he said that shortly after he joined VH their manager died of cancer. And after they spent some time mulling over who would replace him, he said that their deceased manager showed up at his bedside in the middle of the night (talk about giving someone a heart attack)...and he told him they should hire Michael Anthony's brother-in-law. Well, guess who was at their next rehersal just by chance? They hired him.

McDave, did the hosts of Ghost Stories ask Sammy whether or not he had ingested tequila on those occasions????

Well, he did say that it happened at the same time that he was hosting one of his famous birthday parties for himself down in Mexico.

I'd like to think that there are some people out there who would'nt go on TV and lie like that just for the money. Something went on that night, and I guess it only matters that he believes it. But hey, I know Sammy about as well as chinese math so..what the heck do I know? Kudos for educational television..lol.

YES, YES, YES! Shen & Zhao got gold! WOOHOO! What's even better is that China also got silver, Pang & Tong. Congrats also to the couple from Germany who got bronze.

Pretty neat there, don't you think Al?

Time to get some rest. Another day (of work), another dollar.

spinsnit: Thanks, it's one of the best spots I've had for a concert, ever. I took all of those pics seated.

Glitz: Thanks! Continued success on your races. My times keep going down, I'm now consistently doing 8-minute miles without feeling like my chest is gonna explode. Soccer is helping a lot also :)

Cube: Maybe u are :) just kidding. Frankly I wouldn't want Petrucci to write listenable songs, same as I wouldn't want Joe writing 25 minute prog-metal epics.

I thoroughly enjoy the fact that I can fake my way thru Satch songs and sound halfway decent, and when I need to hear something that's impossible for me to play, I go with the Petruccis and Michael Romeos (Symphony X) of the world.

Matt Bissonette is the creative force, playing most of the studio work. Hamm and LaRue are the guys doing his work live. So who's the man?

MikesB I heard Alexandre Bilodeau listened to his sport psychologist and does not listen to music before his mogul run anymore. Do the Canadian media tell us what he listened to?
Congrats on the gold

oh i see, high culture

update:
After disappointing results during the 2008/09 season he worked with a psychologist on the Canadian aerials team who introduced him to new techniques, including biofeedback. He started to analyse what he did during his training runs and in competition and noted the difference. The aim was to bring his relaxed training performances into line with some of his more nervous competition runs.

"For example, I listened to music before the competitions, which I did not during the training runs. I thus tried to break my routine. Now, I do not listen to any more music. I do not pay attention to the other skiers, but if I see or hear their result, I do not go crazy. I do not care for the others, if I make the descent which I am able to make, I will be able to win .That's the confidence that I have." (publicationsports.com, 21 May 2009)

I was with Cube at that show and believe me, Paul took Petrucci to school and spanked his ass but good.... Only Petrucci song that did anything for me was Glasgow Kiss and during the jam, Petrucci's tone was invisible, non-existant. He might as well have not been there......

Do the Stu, Elpp - Seems strange that they had toured together in the past. Petrucci and LaRue could not have seemed more distant during the G3 in Tokyo. Petrucci's solo stuff is fairly hard to find in a brick and mortar store. Can't even find it on Itunes.

I just ordered Bad Co's Dangerous Age off Amazon. That is one of my favorite Bad Company Cd's ever. I really liked Howe as their front man. Gave them a very different sound.

DTS - Hopefully something will give for you soon. You're in a difficult industry. You should try to become a concert critic and head out on the road!!
