Do The Stumy fav part of the video . is the repaces it the pot with the dunlop pot .. dunlop pots are know for becoming scratchy over time,, at least all the ones i used over the last 15 years..here is the fix contact cleaner.. i too thought the guy put a lot of effort in slagging vox ..
ethn you only get the editors pick if you spend a lot in advertising .. ever notice the amount of adds in the mag determine if you get a pick award .

Hello!

Joe: I have heard from a friend that you are going to play in Denmark in late 2010?
That made me think that you probably have planned a 2010 Europe tour, since you are playing in Denmark. Is that right?

I really hope it is :D
I really enjoyed the concert in Amager Bio in 2008. AMAZING CONCERT. Since the concert, I have so seriously regret that I didn't buy a meet n' greet ticket. Please come back again or confirm that you are coming to Denmark. I am really begging you. Sorry :P.
I do really miss the feeling of hearing you live
You are such an inspiring guitarists. And im a really big fan!

I really cant wait to se you again!

Austin dts- well not showing face isnt a reason to say hes afraid of somethin...how many guitarist are faceless on youtube?....some people just dont like looking at themselves...i caught a glimse of the guy...i dont think he hiding anything but i guess being the only bad review...ill wait to here more from someone...hopefully Joe....as far as keeping costs down with quality...sorry..i dont agree with you...have you see the BBW pricetag....no need to use anything but quality...but your other points are pretty valid....now explaining why Vox never replied to him...could have made him angry but i dont see a reason to make a whole video unless there was something wrong here...i will note his video ...but still hold off the purchase until more facts have been supplied...or a note to Vox to guarantee resolution if theres is a prob after purchase..luckily they have an office locally and if i have a problem..ill make a big banner..lol

Headphone headsup - Just wanted to pass along a great deal this week. If anyone is looking for a great inexpensive portable headphone, get to Best Buy and check out the Koss PortaPro.

they originally came out in 1984...I got my first pair in 86, got my second pair last year. Only 2 things have changed on these over 25 years. There was some blue behind the ear pads and it's now black and they changed the cord. It's more like a shoelace. MUCH better.

Anyway, if you like a forward sound with exceptionally clear audio, good bass and amazing instrument separation...check these little bad boys out. They are goofy looking but make up for it in sound and they have a lifetime warranty.

Best Buy has them for 39.99 this week. they perform as well as headphones 3 and 4 times that price.

Only 6 days til Live in Paris!! Best Buy must have been preparing by putting these on sale! Rock on Joe! Can't wait to hear the new CD.

So, how's everyone else doing? Cali is getting pummeled these days.

Hey Tracie~ *waves madly* :) (cool) .. Yup, digging the sunshine .. Gr8 to be here, quite bit different then the east, but difference is good at this point ... Chickenfoot show was amazing...Joe is rather 'at home' in a band .. Great record, ..I'm the forever guitar geek and this one packs some great R&R. Hope all is well. Will for sure be trying to make the tribute tour. Michelle, cracks me up ..

Hi JR!! I REALLY hope you make it to the show. Joe doing Hendrix is about as good as it gets - for Joe and planet Earth! lol! Zen for sure! I'll wait for the follow up of yer follow up. Enjoy the weather. We're back to freezing our yaya's off!

I'm watching the movie " Michael Jackson - This Is It". WOW!!! What a feckin genius he was! If you haven't seen the movie, rent or buy the video. It's amazing really. Even better on a surround sound system. I didn't really realize how much I dig MJ's music, his vision, and his genius.

Ethn Hayabusa / death cube k - That was kind of my point about Guitar World. If you're looking for an unbiased review, you won't find it in a guitar/gear magazine that's 50%+ ads. Satch has guitars, picks, straps, pedals, and until recently amps in that magazine. This isn't an attack on Joe...it'd be the same with guys like Steve Vai or Eddie Van Halen.

axeshredderjc - I don't know...I think you have to draw the line somewhere with costs, even for a top-of-the-line pedal. The Big Bad Wah is already about twice the price of the Dunlop 535Q...I think adding another $30 to the price for a better part would have a big impact.

As for his complaints to VOX...we don't know who he tried talking to, and if he even went about that correctly. It's like when people are upset about their ticket packages and they complain about it on here instead of going to Fanfire. Talking to the wrong people usually won't get anything done.

Anyway...I play bass, not guitar, so I've never used any of Joe's pedals. Of the few BBW reviews I have seen, the majority of them have been positive. If I were looking to buy the pedal, that YouTube video wouldn't be enough to make me get something else instead. But would I do a little more research? Probably.

hybes - Thanks for the heads-up on the headphones. The ear pads on my current headphones (these) are starting to come apart, so it's time to upgrade.

The goofy look wouldn't normally bother me, but...do you think they'd be uncomfortable for someone (me) who wears glasses?

And...the sun is out in SoCal today! I went for a jog out on the beach this morning...

JR - It's great to hear from you! What have you been up to lately? I hope things are good.

Austin/Cube-Good points. I think anyone reading Guitar World should take their reviews with a grain of salt. I thought it was funny that he was replacing anything with a Dunlop product in that video.

The guys were all at a deer camp. No one wanted to room with Bob, because he snored so badly. They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them stay with him the whole time, so they voted to take turns.

The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you? "He said, "Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night."

The next night it was a different guy's turn. In the morning, same thing--hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot. They said, "Man, what happened to you? You look awful!" He said, 'Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched him all night."

The third night was Fred's turn. Fred was a tanned, older cowboy; a man's man. The next morning he came to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. "Good morning!" he said. They couldn't believe it. They said, "Man, what happened?" He said, "Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night...

Bob sat up and watched me all night.

scubadaz - Thanks for that link. His post is nine months old and maybe the site has been designed since then, but a "discussion forum" is not a "tech support forum." And he mentions sending an email, but that's not the address listed under tech support on VOX's contact page. I don't have anything against the guy, but I'm not surprised he didn't get a response.

McDave - Hope you're feeling better. I did a search on T2J for YouTube videos (I searched for "www.youtube.com/") and came up with 3,500+ results. Have fun with that...I guess we'll hear back from you in a few weeks, once you've caught up? ;-)

On a more serious note, here's a good video to watch:

Grace Potter and Joe Satriani - Cortez The Killer

JR - So were you at the Chickenfoot show in Phoenix that was filmed for the upcoming DVD? I caught a preview screening of that in a movie theater a few months ago.

Did you catch any of their other gigs, either in the spring or summer?

Do the Stu - No they wouldn't hurt at all. They are not circumaural so they don't surround your ear. They are actually quite comfortable. I wear glasses most of the time also.
