Hey Joe, I just got off the phone with my mom. I read her yer post. She told me to tell you thank you and she appreciates all the good thoughts from you and all my friends here. Then she says "He's really a nice guy." lol! You really are Joe - you really are. Thanks!
I gave her the list I made of all yer well wishes for her a few days ago back in the hospital. My sister was there with her new boyfriend, and she proudly says to him "Isn't that great! When I had my brain surgery all Shelly's friends were praying for me too. She gave me a list like that after my surgery. Even Joe wished me well!" Then my pop chimed in and said he got one too after his surgery. lol!
It means a lot to us! Thanks!
NO SHIT!!! A guy (Vaughn?) is skating to Joe!! Oh - he fell :-/ Jayzus, I can't think of the name of the song! lol! How cool!!

Hi everyone... I'm leaving for New York tomorrow, which means I'll be away from here for a while. But it also means I'm seeing Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck at Madison Square Garden on Friday...awesome! :-)!
Ethn Hayabusa - Ah, cool...that was the SMB show I was at! Very cool to hear about it from an "insider" point of view.
cheese101 - Thanks for sharing that article. My favorite part is the quote that anibur posted...haha!
death cube k / mikesb - Where (what venue?) was that G3 show? I thought JP sounded great on the 2007 tour in both LA and Anaheim...maybe the problems were location-specific?
I've also heard great things about JP on that tour from people on Mike Portnoy's forum...granted that's a biased group of people.

Austin, it was at Massey Hall Toronto, a venue reknowned for great audio.... Gilbert, who usually sounds terribly thin to me, sounded way way better than JP, Cube will vouch for this.....

sir loin, no asshole, cancer already hit t2j about the hardest it could hit. If you only knew what you were talking about you'd feel like the lowest piece of shit on earth. Why don't you man the F up and stop being such a vag. It's so pathetic how you have to take yer anger out online where you can hide. I hope you piss in bed for the rest of 2010 ya jerk.
JR, thanks! Hugs to you and yours.

For those in the US who may have missed hearing Satch on the Olympics...
If you go here I think it'll be up for online streaming in a few hours. Click the "Full-Event Replays" tab and scroll down to Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. (Figure Skating - Men's Short Program). As others here have said, the skater's name is Vaughn Chipeur of Canada.
mikesb - Yeah, I've heard good things about Massey Hall...it's definitely not the venue, then.
What do you think of JP's tone on the newest Dream Theater album? Or on the most recent tour, if you happened to catch a show? I thought his tone on the latest album/tour is the best it's ever been.
michelle - I'm still sending good vibes your mom's way. And I'll be in New York on Thursday morning, which means for about a week the vibes won't have to travel as far to get to her. ;-)

Hi, Joe!
Straight to the point: any chance to re-release "Live in Paris" DVD without video effects?
As a huge fan I can't see your performance (and the band) (as I would like to) during this show as well seen in another live DVDs.
Anyway, I can't wait for the next tour including Brazil (don't forget the city of Curitiba). You are very welcome by here.
Say hello to Jeff too. One of the best drummers I ever saw (and heard) in my entire life.
A brazilian friend, Luiz Baena

hey all - here's another link to the skating clip with joe's music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf8gqkiUPvg&feature=related
and also, a gentle reminder to please show some respect to all here on the T2J board. may i channel your mothers for a moment? "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"... we want everyone to feel comfortable sharing things but please do so with some respect for others.
oh and dream3- that sucks. i can neither confirm nor deny that the jimmy fallon episode can be found on bittorrent sites for downloading. i will investigate whether we might be able to share excerpts of joe's portion of the show.

Peace Lily - thanks for the linkies but unfortunately only US residents can enter the guitar contest (:(((((((.
Hmmmm any Aussies interested in submitting our own designs to each other (perhaps via Twitter twitpics of Facebook) and judging our own "winner"?
Do The Stu - have a great trip to NY.
M - great news about your Mum's progress, shake that cold soon and you'll be right.
Webby - thanks Jon!
