I'm for the legalization of Marijuana, however, I hate the stuff. I find most people irritating to be around when they are high. 8 years of living in Hawaii qualifies me to make that statement, I think.

I was at a hospital emergency room few years back.......... .a young man was sooo high he kept saying.."dude i'm dead"

the nurses kept telling him he was alive but he kept telling them his heart wasn't beating because he was "dead".......... he said he had only smoked pot........

I don't know how that finally played out .......but he was totally trippin.

We are probably not all that far from being a legalized marijuana country. There is lots of research being done about the effects. I think one of the main problems right now is not that pot impairs people worse than alcohol...it's that you still have to combine the effect of pot ALONG WITH the carcinogens in smoke. Keep in mind, the movement to ban smoking has nothing to do with tar, tobacco or anything like that....it's the toxins within the smoke itself. People have valid points about the effects of pot, but it's tough to make it legal when the gov't is trying to ban cigarettes. It will most likely happen sooner or later though.

I support legalization, but for completely different reasons. Living in a city with over 4,000 execution-style deaths in the last 2 years, 95% related to drug violence (even if an innocent is killed, it's not uncommon to find out that they were killed because they were confused with a criminal), at this point we are all willing to try anything and everything to stop this mess.

So many people get killed in wars over pot or do stupid shit when their high that causes the loss of life. I could really give a flying f*ck who smokes dope and who doesn't, but for someone to make an all knowing statements that it's not harmful is just arrogant bullshit. I smoked when I was a kid. When I became a parent that game was over.
