Joe: Thanks for the updates.
Hybes & Peace Lily: Thanks you two for the praise. I actually don't have any music on me when I'm running in a race. I do listen to music when I'm conditioning (outside mostly or sometimes on a treadmill).
What I like about running is that I get to see & meet all the people (ranging in age from as young as 1 to those in their 80s and over) participate. There are those who have been running for years, more than me, and even beating me. It takes a lot of discipline, heart, commitment, etc.
Peace Lily: How did your son do in his matches?
Watching the Ice Dance competition. Whoa, those were some costumes from that Russian pair (the leaders so far). I also heard that it sparked some controversy "DOWN UNDER". Another surprise, U.S.A. defeats Canada in men's hockey, 5-3. I thought Canada was going to win, hands down; I guess I stand corrected.
Skippygirl: What's up!? BTW, let me be the first when your milestone arrives: CONGRATS ON 1,000 POSTS!
Later for now.
Grant

Glitzy - thanks, I didn't realise the 1000 was coming up so here's the 1000th to you my friend!!
Joe - wonderful to see all the blue whilst you've been beavering away in the studio, and I'm excited about the next solo CD you're putting together.
Since I've missed the nicecasts and usually miss your posts due to timezone differences I decided I'm gonna launch my songwriting career, starting with a track I've called "Overnight Blue" and another with a working title of "Blue for Skippy" but it might change to "Skippy Blues" tee hee.
No music or lyrics yet, they are fermenting whilst I get the feel for how they should sound.
Almost time for Hendrix, hope everyone attending has a ball.
Slan - sounds terrible saw something about Madeira tonight, hope your friends are OK.

I'm at school right now and my internet is not working at home. So I can't upload pictures from my wonderful vacation in Tenerife right now.
One of my best friend girlfriend has just broke up with him. He loved her so damn much. He told me one day before she broke up with him "You cant even imagine how much I love her"
So I need to help my friend through this. He is really sad :(
Congratulations on the 1000 posts Skippy
Have a nice day!

Sign of the times, when I went to school (when Noah was a lad) we did reading writing and hard sums. These days they seem to spend more time on the interwebby netty thing.
PS This is NOT a dig at Railton.

Cappy...I,m convinced George Carlin was right in that those of the higher branches prefer a deliberate dumbing down of the people = 0 threat & no chance of destablizing geopolitically their pathetic power base....pretty soon all young people are goin t need t enter Uni is a feckin pencil

Working in education I can say for a fact that Cappy is right. There are kids passing into middle and high school who are still making simple hominem errors or who can't spell or write at all. I fear that even simple hand writing has all but become a lost art with the "advent" of email and texting.

When my son's XBox cord broke I thought he was going to come un-glued. We decided it was time for a break.
I still remember not coming home until the streetlights came on, wet up to my knees, covered in dirt and pine pitch. Now you can't even get kids to step outside..pathetic.

Stone Temple Pilots complete new album, celebrate with trip to SXSW

Stone Temple Pilots complete new album, celebrate with trip to SXSW
“[We] just finished mastering our new album… And we’ll be playing SXSW in March, with a few more dates. And then we go to Europe to play all the big festivals in the early summer. [Then we'll] come back with our own festival we’re putting together.”
— Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland (via Spinner) details his band’s plans for the remainder of 2010. We already knew about the new studio album, but a trip to Austin comes as a surprise (Then again, Courtney Love is also scheduled to attend.) No word on any of the other aforementioned details — but a STP festival?

the only thing bad about smoking weed is the smoking part...and those who stand on their high horse saying its as addicting as crack and leads to others drugs..alcohol is the gateway drug....the worse case scenario of someone who consumes too much weed is sleep...not drunk driving and law breaking/ fighting...someday the stupid will learn from the smart...till then DWI's will kill..and weed will cure and help the sick and old....and maybe a little euphoria...them old folks could use a little

Joe -
Have you done much boarding this winter?
We just returned from a perfect weekend at Northstar. Met a guy on the lift next to me who also had you playing on his iPod so all 3 of us in the chair (he, my son, & I) were groovin' to Satch. Thanks for the excellent ski (I'm old school, my son boards) soundtrack!

I'm for the legalization of Marijuana, however, I hate the stuff. I find most people irritating to be around when they are high. 8 years of living in Hawaii qualifies me to make that statement, I think.
But I don't care what people do. Just do it away from me.
