I have watched several songs of your new live album. Unfortunately, many people disappoint, include me. I think it's too many effects so that I can watch how the concert clearly. I hope you can re-realese it and remove the effects just like your live album in 2006 I like the songs in the album, combine old songs and new songs The stage and the crowd is great but the graphic effect make me don't want to buy it. I'm sorry, but I think it's your worst live album.

More death in the family, this time it's my cousin's husband, he was only 53 FFS.

On the positive side, my daughter is still managing to keep the baby inside, 23 weeks now. Looks like i'm gonna be a grampy.

I just read obed1023's post about the hendrix show and wanting to get his guitar signed by Joe. I will be attending the Salina Ks. show on the 14th and would like to do the same.I know that because it`s not a strictly Joe show he won`t be as accesible, but I live in Manhattan Ks which is 60 miles east of Salina and 120 miles west of Kansas City (the site of the show the next night) I have been loving Joe ever since I heard Surfin late one night in Topeka Ks.I went out the next day and bought surfin and not of this earth.I could hardly wait for Flying to come out!!!. I've religiously purchased all his stuff since then and have turned several people onto his beautifull music and several have told me later that they went out and started their own Joe collection. But living in Manhattan has one big disadvantage,Joe never comes around .and time and constraints have prohibited me from traveling to see him. After hearing Joe back then I knew I had to make an attempt to do something I had always wanted to try ,play guitar. So at the age of 28 I started.A year later I got full custody of my daughter and purchased my first Ibanez (one of the early slin line type can`t remember the model and I no longer have it,which I will explain in a bit. So thru the late 80's until 2002 I was A single parent and half owner of a business that I also ran from 99 to 2002. My daughter grew up with Joe as a soundtrack and listening to me learn to play.I soon realized after starting to play that I had a tone deaf ear and I think being older makes it a little harder to get the mind and fingers to burn the memory connections or something. But I never stopped trying. IN 2002 my daughter moved out and problems with my business partner (who also happens to be my father) made me decide to take some time off.I drew out all my retained earnings in our incorporated business and combined with my savings had a nice chunk to relax with.Things were going well until an old party friend showed up(Meth Amphetamine) We used to kick it together in my earlier years on a infrequent basis but this time he just seemed to move right on in.He was a shitty roommate and over the next year used up all my money and had my farmhouse and the land it sat on turned into one big mess of projects I`d started but never finished( the land I lived on had belonged to my grandparents and I had lived there from around 96 taking great pride in fixing it up and having the farmers who lived around me stoping to say how well it all looked and how proud may grandparents must be looking down to see it all). But now things were going to hell.So I sold my half of the business and over the next year made it worse I also started pawning my stuff and the Ibanez was one of the last to go.By then my friends and family were aware of my addiction and even though I knew the still loved me I could also feel the disgust they felt towards me,the same disgust I felt for myself. My uncle who inherited the homeplace grew tired of my shit and in 2006 kicked me out. I`m happy to report now I`ve been clean since 2007 and as I mentioned earlier have a guitar I`d love to have Joe sign,A guitar with a very very special story. When I was 30 my younger sister married for the second time to a military man named Bob he was to the book on the job but off duty you would never have guessed he was a tank commander on his way to being a Master Sargent.Bob was the biggest fan of my playing>he had played when he was younger and always showered me with praise Bob retire in 2007 and then took a DOD job training others in Afghanistan. While he was ther he bought and had shipped over a Yamaha pacifica that he played when not working.Sitting in the 8x8 shed he lived in playing guitar and dreaming of returning home for good and starting a Goat farm with my sister on the same land I had let slip away They had been buying goat stuff Looks like I need another post to finish .

They even had 10 Inpregnated Nannie`s and a Billy goat for further breeding waiting at the breeders farm for Bob`s return. At 4 p.m. on the 30th of october my sister picked Bob up at the Kansas City airport. The first thing he said was "I just survived 2 years in Afghanistan".Around 10 that night My Dad called with the worst of news.Bob had just died of a massive heart attack. He was 45, just three years younger than me. Needless to say my sister Kim and the whole family were stunned. In the days before the funeral we just couldn`t believe the sad irony of his death. My sister found his schedule for the next day following his return on Friday the 30th of Oct.He wasn`t even going to take his first Saturday home off.It was rise at daybreak and getting ready to bring home the .Bob loved my sister deeply and had spent alot of time away during their marraige defending our freedom everything he did was motivated by that love for her and her kids from her first marraige ,the oldest of the kids had my sisters first grand child who turned one just before Bob came back. From afghanistan Bob had already bought online most of the Disney Movies for little Jameson and the goat farm was something Bob wanted to do for all of their futures. The funeral was hard My sister'even though numb with pain did a beautifull job honoring both Bob`s civilian life and PROUD Military Career with two tables at the funeral home one covered with pictures of his civilian the other with all his military stuff ,pictures, awards and the very large photo album Bob had kept all of his achievements from the day he enlisted to his final discharged. On that day I was the proudest I had ever been to be an American.Even though I hope for a world with no war. I have always held high praise for the soldiers who served our country.(Fort Riley is located 6 miles west of here). I rode with my daughter and nephew from the funeral home to the cemetary which just so happened to pass right by the farm where my downward spiral took place the same place Kim and Bob were going to spend the rest of their lives growng old and raising goats. We played Always with you always with me on the way. After the graveside services and 21 gun salute they played Boomer Sooner ( Bob was from Oklahoma and livedfor their football team). Manhattan Ks is also the home to Kansas State University Wildcats currenlty the #6 ranked team in men's basketball and in the big 12 conference with Oklahoma Bob and I had an all in fun ongoing feud so to speak over the two teams we both cheered for But on the day of the funeral my daughter and I paid tribute to Bob`s Sooners by wearing a small OU pin on our outfits. After everyone had left the cemetary we backed the car up to the cemetary fence and blasted I believe for Bob to hear,I`d turned Bob onto Joe shortly after meeting him and he loved him too.We all had tears streaming down as we pulled away, just as I do now righting this. So at Christmas day at my folks house after we had all opened our gifts Kim ,who had tears in her eyes thru the whole thing called me out to the garage."I want you to have this" she said as she pointed to the Yamaha Guitar Bob had had with him in Afghanistan. No need to explain the feelings that gushed out at that moment.Like I said before My new guitar has a very very special story not to mention it`s meaning to me!!! My sister will be attending the Hendrix show with me. Even though she`s not a huge fan of jimi when I told her Joe was playing she knew right away how much Joe means to me and happily agreed go with me. I realize the logistics involved in the tour what with 27 shows in 30 days and I know this is kind of short notice. But like i said before I live right in the middle of two shows and I`m willing to do anything to get Joe to sign Bob`s guitar.I can meet him at a rest stop or even drive to K.C.If not I will understand and begin making plans to catch a solo show. I believe in my dream.LOVE TO ALL

Thanks michelle As sad as it all sounds it`s all too real But I`m happy to report my sister and I are as close as ever (she made attempts to help me overcome my addiction and was the one who had to clean up the mess I left behind)words cannot express my love for her Hey bluemoon my last name is Mckeeman look in the phone books in Ireland and I`ll bet you`ll find more than a few.We may even be related even the name Mckeenan was sometimes changed to McKeeman usually because the Irish accent made it hard for the immigration people to understand and Mckeena sounds like it should be up the same tree. Show some optimism!!! I also dream of one day visitin Ireland as my aunts did a few years back. They found lots of Mckkemans in the phone book over their but as they admitted later they spent alot of time in the pubs and not so much time looking up possible relatives. It`s even funnier when you consider they were both well into their 60`s when they went to Ireland

skippygirl....We do have vid's on YouTube, you just gotta type in Swingdogs in the searchbar. I would post a link but I'm having issues with that on my end. I think we have vid's of our Minneapolis, MN and Superior, WI shows. And I'm sure that our show last night will be posted by the end of the day. Thanks for looking ;)
