Distorted Soul: Rick, that's way cool. Via satriani.com, huh? I got mine through Amazon and saved about $10.00 for pre-ordering them early. I might do what you did, the next time Joe puts another album out. Who knows, maybe I'll get an autograph sleeve like what you've received. Kudos to you! BTW, looks like we'll be hit with snow in our areas soon; just caught the weather forecast.

Hope everyone here is doing well. Looks like we'll be getting hit with snow here soon.

Well, time for bed; I have work at the guitar store in the morning, and then it's work in the evening at Red River Steakhouse (at the Marriott). Not looking forward for this Winter Weather Advisory, or some sort.

Grant

I bought the Live in Paris DVD and almost watched all of it...

its the dvd I like the least. WAY too many video effects all around the place like they didn't know what to do. The songs were okay although I still find that he plays the classics TOO OFTEN. I have had enough of summer song and satch boogie. Songs from the new album were great but the tone wasn't always as best as it could have been.

LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO is by far the BEST Satriani DVD and LIVE IN PARIS is the WORST Satriani DVD.

its a shame, because Satch's music is so great!

Hey!

I need to be fast, so I cant read all the posts on T2J since last time. But I just wanted to pop by to show you a very unknown and rare recording by Joe Satriani, with a little history behind it:

On Friday 6th February 1998, Joe Satriani made a special visit to Guitarist's London studio to record a unique piece of music, especially for the readers of the magazine.

Jan Cyrka had created a backing track in a style which he knew Joe would feel comfortable with: "The most amazing thing about it was that he'd never heard it before. I just played a few bars so he could get the gist of what the track was all about ... then I ran the tape and he just did it. First take! It was completely amazing."

Listen to it here

Have a nice day!

Hi Joe ! I want to ask you if it is possible that you could release another version of Live in Paris on dvd ? It is painfull to watch. All those graphics takes kill's the actual performance. I hope there's something you could do about it. Line in S.F and on Anaheim are just amazing. Are focusing on the band and"You". That is all we want to see. No special effects. Please ! I'm your fan since 1992. I started playing guitar with your songs and i keep on playing them. In 2000 when Steve Vai came to Romania from wich i am i asked him to tell you that we are we waiting you here in Romania. Youy have a lots of friends here. Please if you could schedule a live performance in here it woul be great. You are just amazing ! The greatest guitar player Ever ! Thank you .

devil weed man devil weed...lol..Michelle..regarding the MJ thing..it doesn't seem like he was on drugs to me either..I mean I don't think he could move that well if he was...I think he just trusted that doctor..and to many other people..thinking they had his best interest..the doctor just messed up..and gave him to much or something...chalk it up to another mysterious legend that will be fueled forever by this and that..we will never really know what went down...

MJ certainly didn't look like a person so sick he would die. 'This is it' shows the talented, professional, friendly musician we all wanted to see, too late...

Well no one said This Is It is the whole truth, you get what you see. A musician doing what he does best.
Courageous Mr.Simmons (the dream in bed ladies? NSFW!) opens his beak when the person in question is dead and can't sue his flubby ass of :-)
