Hi, I am writing from the UK and wondered if you have heard of a young Blues musician called Oli Brown?

He is building up quite a following in the UK and is organising a USA tour for September, would be quite something if Joe could let him play with him...AWESOME in fact.

If you have not seen or heard of Oli, this is his website, www.olibrownband.co.uk

Thanks.

OK, uncle Slans........What are you trying to teach me? I only have my acoustic and my dismal income in addition to my Steve's retail frozen salary has kept us from doing much except trying to make ends meet and keep our computers up-to-date, keep our only car running and most important see Joe when he has a gig in San Fran. I wish I could get an Ibanez electric and amp, but until either of us can find jobs that pay better, we don't have a hope in hell. My sisters are generous at times, but I don't want them making sacrifices for me and everytime they chip in for food, tickets, and "just take it and go have fun" I get teary and wonder how I'm gonna pay em back.......Uncle Slans, I gotta stop feelin' sorry for meself! It's such a struggle for my Steve and me and having to pay for medical, dental, and vision care for the most part out of our own pockets! Why can't we have universal healthcare like most of the rest of the planet???? Stubborn damn plutocracy!

GG2 :-(

HELLO! Time to catch up with you folks.

Dream3: I am nice. I didn't know that was your first with Joe; my bad. Glad that you got it. I thought Joe was mentioning you and Skippy.

Pip55: Hey Phil, I've been busy as usual. With my work at the guitar store and serving/waiting tables at the hotel/restaurant that I work for, I've had no time for a day off. I do try to get some running in. I have two races coming up next week (Sunday and Saturday); both 5Ks.

McDave: Dave, I found out what the sign was about; the sign was by some business criticizing Obama for what he's doing to the country. Good grief, I'm tired of this political nonsense.

Axeshredderjc: Joe, you're welcome on the invite. As for snow, we had a two day snowstorm here and afterwards, freezing rain. I don't know how many inches of snow we received, but I can tell you that a lot of schools and events were cancelling. What's going over there?

GoldenGirl2: Great to hear from you. You looking for an answer for the meaning of life? Here's a small quote about life (one of the DJs from a radio station here in Fort Wayne says this every night before he leaves): "LOVE LIFE, LIVE IT LIKE YOU LOVE IT." Hope this helps, remember what you do have in life and count your blessings/fruits of your labor.

Michelle: I am at awe on your emotional roller coaster ride. I am sorry for your miscommunication mishap with your family. At least your Mom, Vivian, is getting better. Continuing my prayers for you and the family.

Burly: Happy Birthday! My Dad had his birthday back on the 8th and my niece's is on the same date as my birthday (the 24th).

The Hawk Guy: Neat guitar and pad. Are they really real? They didn't at first.

GG2 - Renounce your citizenship, go to Mexico and sneak across the border and go to any emergency room you chose. That's the only way you are going to get free medical care.

I found this awesome video on Youtube. This guy created an instrumental piece called "Dear Friends". Its about all the guitarists who inspired him, which includes you too, Joe. You have type his Youtube name "chapelsixty" and its under "Best Guitarist Ever". Its a really beautiful piece that clearly expresses his emotions and his inspiration.

Castle49--I guess I could go to Canada, but Mikesb, the Canadian Cube and JS1000JS1200 would warn their country I was coming and they would post guards at all the entries and they would catch me, turn me around and send me back to Cali :-( . Free medical care ain't free, no matter where you go......It could be single payer or some kind of co-op, but it would be paid up front and everyone would be covered so people wouldn't have to worry about what they would owe the hospital or doctor for certain procedures like MRI's, radiation treatments and medications. Right now many people (and a growing number) are priced out of medical care and can't afford medications that would help them function and be more productive individuals. Such is the sad case of the USA.

Cappy---Yeah, if I could afford airfare to the UK.

Uncle Slans---Steve and I are hoping for better times before we have to put our home up for sale.

Michelle--Hoping things are on the up and up for you and your mom.

Glitzman--Here's hoping you do well in your running and break your last record.

Blue_Moon Alan--I do cahir and I enjoy craicing a book every day. Please read me an Irish Fairy Tale before I go to bed tonight......It'll help me sleep well. Thanx. :-)
