oxley11...... Where did you get this info on Joe leaving Peavey? It just don't make sense to me that Joe would work with Peavey developing his JSX line and within a few years leaves to go back to Marshall.

Edit: This strange. I post back to Peace Lily and my previous post gets reposted. (insert Twilight Zone Theme song here)

Peace Lily..... This is very interesting. I just came off the Peavey site and Joe is still a featured artist and the JSX line is alive and well. I wonder what happened? It's just strange as it is weird you have your own amp line with one company but use a different amp live. I have a signed JSX amp and I love it. Well, Joe knows what's best for Joe and something major happened with Peavey. None of my business.......

Thehawkguy...... Thanks for the linky. Interesting comments from that article. Most all are defending the JSX over the Marshall.

Here's a comment directly from the article:

This isnt good!!! All the hard work that Peavey have put in working alongside Joe to produce the JSX amp, their relationship seemed far to involved for Joe to just consider a straight move. I think this maybe something that was either already in the pipeline or is simply to suit the oldschool sound that Chickenfoot requires, but then Joe did use the JSX 50watt for most, if not all of the Chickenfoot recordings so im a little confused? If your searching for the best tone then thats fine, but ethics does play a huge part when a company like Peavey is willing to stand alongside you to develope what you as an artist consider to be the best tone. What ever Joe's decision is im sure we can guarantee it will be the right one, if there is anyone who knows what thier talking about when delving into the realms of Guitars, Amps and Tone its Mr Satriani ;-) 7ucky....

I understand Joe changing amps to reflect the tone of Chickenfoot. I'm going through this with my new band. It's a lot heavier in sound than the previous Blues/Rock stuff we were doing before. I'm researching pedals for my JSX for the tones I need or want with this new music. Take Joe Bonamassa as and example. Joe plays with 4 different amps in his "Live" rig. There's always two on but can interchange amps in any order. Joe, knows one amp can't create all the tones in ones head. There's your answer for Satch to switch to Marshall. That's what I was looking for. With Joe all over the Peavey site I think there's still a business relationship. Like I said none of my business and totally understand now why Joe swithched.

Joe States ""What can I say? I guess I'm crazy... But, I'm just looking to achieve the best guitar sound every moment I'm plugged in, and that brought me back to Marshall Amps."

Tone is your bread and butter rehearsing, recording and definitely playing "Live" Joe you're not crazy. You're smart......

You're welcome cheese and Keniko

Joe Satriani Can you give us a few insights based upon your switching JSX to Marshall amps? Maybe it was just JSX as for your solo band and Marshall is for supergroup like Chickenfoot

Satriani, Vai, and Bonamassa for G3? Sounds like an excellent trio there.

Just finished listening to SBM last night and now I'm listening to the Joe Satriani Anthology.

In the chat room for a little bit if anyone wants to join; then it's off to running group.

I'll 2nd the idea for Joe Bonamassa for the next G3. That video of him playing in Danny Gatton's band when he was only 12 years old was actually the 1st time I ever saw him perform. I was hooked instantly. His new CD "Black Rock" is coming out on the 23rd of March. If you preordered it before yesterday it shipped 2 weeks early and with free postage/handling. Needles to say, I got my order in. Don't know what the deal is now that the dealine passed, but if you're interested in buying it check out: BLACK ROCK

How do we view G3, is it Joe plus 2, or Joe and Vai plus 1?

Personally I think it should be Joe plus 2. I would wholeheartedly agree with Bonamassa, now who is going to be number three?

Peas Lily, then you never wanna go on this ride at Epcot. My uncle, who is also afraid of heights, challenged me and said that he went on it. What I found out later from my aunt is that he closed his eyes most of the time. lol! Lets just say...I thought I was gonna die!! lol! I think I said the word shit about 100x. lol! You swoop over mountains, rivers, oceans, you name it. If you love that sort of thing, it's amazing. If you don't, it's hilariously terrifying. Let me just add that it swoops you around so that you think yer feet are going to hit bottom. It's like a bad trip man! lol!

Here's a vid of the ride. It's a bit dark. The actual screen is crisp and bright. The seats actually go into a screen that's shaped like an egg, so the movie is all around you *gag*. lol!

oxley11: There were a TON of amps on stage at the EH show I saw, and most of them were miked up and turned on the whole time, so it was hard to tell who was using what, but I read in an interview with Joe that he is using an old Marshall 6100 Half Stack and his new blue JS2400 triple single coil prototype.
Sounded excellent!!
