Hey Joe!: I found out this St.Patty's day that I will have to have the front half of my right foot REMOVED. Not good folks. But, I look at it once I saw the bone scan on that Monday, I may loose a battle, but will win the WAR! Nothing like what Kayla's Mom is going thru. Bless you Girl and Mom too. I also noted your new JS model Ibanez guitar, The JS2400 WH with a single space humbucker in the fretboard position and a Mo'Joe Humbucker at the bridge. Great set-up. You now have plenty of room to hack at those upper order harmonics on this model. Your write up in guitarplayer mag was pretty good too. 10 ways to sound like.....you! A dead on article. Randell

Ibanezplyr: Randell, OMG! I can't believe it and I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers to ya dude! It's disappointing when a part of your body gets removed. I feel bad for those (mostly our soldiers) that went through amputation. Best to ya.
BTW, heard & saw on the news about the health care bill or reform whatchamacallit being passed. Even though I'm not into politics, I am a ittle concerned on what's going to happen next.
Tomorrow, the distance to seeing Joe at Sweetwater & back home, about 10-15 miles total.
Joe, looking forward for your visit to Sweetwater in Fort Wayne. Hope you remember me from this forum.
Grant

cheese101 - I forgot you had flown out to Ireland, that's right. So I think you win, at least among current posters here (something tells me Patricia still has you beat).
But don't you go including the extra mileage from your hotel in SoCal to Ventura and back. I did that driving, so if I count it on my list you can't be counting it on yours! ;-)

Peace Lily: Yes, this is my first time. I will be in the Performance Theatre inside Sweetwater seeing Joe live.
Distorted Soul: Rick, safe travels to ya. Keeping the fingers crossed that you might be able to move up from the Conference Hall and get inside the Performance Theatre with me.
Time for bed. Big day tomorrow. OH YEAH!
If I am able to talk/chat with Joe & the crew, I'm going to try to mention you guys' names and tell him you all said hi.

Randell, maybe once you get yer foot dealt with, you'll begin to feel better and have a better recovery. Best of luck to you.
GG2, hi 5, but I'm not really celebrating. Something had to be done with this health care. I just hope they get it right.
T-Bones, you have massive Joemiles! We could actually play "Where's Waldo" with you during a Satch tour. You could show up at any given venue any place in the world at any given time. lmao! Do you have a knit cap and red & white scarf? lol!

Glitzy - enjoy the instore, I sincerely hope you get the chance to go up to Joe and say hi (from me too!!!) I have tweeted him to nudge him that you'll be there - I am dying to see the pic of you and Joe :0) you're probably both the same build haha.
Randall - sounds awful but you seem to see it as a prevention measure for something else? Hope it goes well.
Peace Lily - I have about the same Joemiles as you, happy to rack them up with you if I could get over there by some sort of miracle, in fact would love to go with huge busload of T2Jer's one day.
Thanks for all the links everyone they've been great.

Randall, sorry to hear that, I hope surgery goes well and you recover very quickly and feel much better and can finally move forward.
Glitz, thanks for the "hi" from everyone, but it's okay if you forget....people tend to do that in the moment with Joe, lol!! Just have fun and enjoy majorly!!
Austin, hmmm....it's very true u did the driving from Anaheim to Ventura and back, but if we're going with that criteria, then none of us can count the miles spent flying to see Joe cuz we dint pilot the plane!!! Soooooo Patricia's miles wouldn't count either!! Or Roo's, or Alan's......hmmmm if we're going with traveled miles, then dude, they hafta count, LOL!! They can count for both of us. And I'd say hands down Patricia wins as the biggest traveler AND biggest Joe and Dream Theater fan :))

I just saw Joe's guitar in a photo of the Experience hendrix Show. That is the best guitar finish I have ever seen! It has that awesome icy blue shade to it. If I chose a color for the Ibanez, that would be the one I would buy.
Is that a JS2400 he's using?

Do The Stu / Cheese - scuse me scuse me... hands in the air from back of the room : )
I haven't worked out UK shows but for my two overseas gigs I count 28,730 Joe miles (round trip).
So can I make it somewhere onto the leaderboard?
Perhaps I'd better do Cabo for some bonus points lol

Is it true that Coldplay plagiarized Joe Satriani´s "If I Could Fy" for their single "Viva la Vida"?? I found these links in youtube that compare the two songs and I was a bit disappointed to find similarties... Oracle, can you answer this for me, pretty please...

jcbaniela - Most people here feel that yes, Coldplay did rip off Joe. The case was slowly working its way through the legal system and then it was dismissed. It's believed a settlement was reached, but details weren't released.

I'm here at Sweetwater (been here since around 12 Noon). I actually was the first to get my ticket in the Performance Theatre. SWEET! Hope Rick (Distorted Soul) and his friend arrives soon.
I'm already hearing FIABD, AWMAWY, SWTA, Summer Song, & Satch Boogie here already. A couple more hours until showtime.

It's going great so far. We started two lines and I'm #4 in one of them. I did actually see him play (in the Conference Hall room). He had his Black Dog with him. I'm taking pics of Joe's guitars, books, etc. Thanks everyone. If I meet him or chat with him, I'll mention you're names.
