Mikesb- Since I am a newbie ...is this the "Clarky" you make reference to ?
I am assuming so since names match up . Just curious.... have seen his name come up every so often on T2J.

Hi, Joe. I'm a MAJOR fan of yours, and am desperate for help.
I must admit that I can't help feeling a little silly asking YOU about this, but you see, I'm in a terrible fix. I've had enough of looking at tabs and working through banal technique building exercises, and want to move on. However, my knowledge of music theory is limited, and I can't seem to find a promising source for enhancing my knowledge of it, whether online or in an institute. Every time I look, my search seems to finish in a dead end. It's scary, I know, but my frustration is so great that I'm beginning to get kinda disillusioned with the idea of music as a whole.
I'm 18 years old (and have been playing guitar since the past five years), live in Geneva, Switzerland, and am willing to go to ANY lengths necessary to acquire a concrete, fulfilling understanding of theory, in the hope that I'll finally be able to understand what's really happening when I play whatever I play, and eventually be able to guiltlessly compose my own music.
Wherever I have searched, be it workshoplive.com or countless other places, it has appeared that courses in jazz seem to be the ultimate solution to my predicament. Am I correct? Whether I'm right or wrong notwithstanding, here's hoping that you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if Joe is ending or has ended his association with Peavey? I know that when he sat in on Jimmy Kimmel he was playing Marshall, and the advertisements for his upcoming in-store appearances list Marshall as a sponsor with no mention of Peavey. Anyway, just curious.

n_squared- Joe is no longer with Peavey. He uses the Marshall Amps now. If you go under Joe's messages he said this past November or December or somewhere around there.
He said it was an "artistic" decision. He has used Marshall Amps before he used Peavey, though. You can never know with Joe. If he switches amps completely it must be for a good reason.

oxley11...... Where did you get this info on Joe leaving Peavey? It just don't make sense to me that Joe would work with Peavey developing his JSX line and within a few years leaves to go back to Marshall.

Keniko- Thurday NOV. 19' 2009 Joe said
quote"Cheese, problem with a JSX? I'm no longer with Peavey but maybe I can help. What's the problem? ... still on jury duty..."
I don't think he has ever gone in to any great detail, although many are curious. Hope that helps :-)

Peace Lily..... This is very interesting. I just came off the Peavey site and Joe is still a featured artist and the JSX line is alive and well. I wonder what happened? It's just strange as it is weird you have your own amp line with one company but use a different amp live. I have a signed JSX amp and I love it. Well, Joe knows what's best for Joe and something major happened with Peavey. None of my business.......
