Saw the Experience Hendrix Tour in Chicago on Thursday and then met Satch at a signing at a local guitar shop on Friday night! Concert was amazing but Joe's set with Living Colour as his backup band was amazing.
I gave Joe a copy of his set that I recorded with my Zoom H2 and he was very excited about it. Hope he enjoys it as much as we enjoyed him!
The tour is almost over but if it comes by you, go see it, you won't be disappointed!

Glitz Man - I do run...but I would not say I'm a runner! lol. I run about 3 or 4 days a week between 3 and 5 miles. Just depends on how I feel when I get started. I don't put up your times though. I always enjoy seeing what youre running the 5k at.
Cheese - Ya crazy about this snow here huh! Friday it was 70 and sunny before 4. By 5 o'clock it was 32 and starting to rain and snow. lol.
Michelle - I am here in beautiful Oklahoma! Ya, a blizzard in March here is quite rare. But it's been a strange year here. There have been over 100 earthquakes here in the past 2 months. And I think we have broken a record for seasonal snowfall. Albeit 27 inches for the whole season!
I have a maltese/shitzu mix who is pretty small. He loves the snow. Yesterday he was hopping around through the snow and I actually lost him completely under a couple of snow drifts. That was pretty damn funny. He sprang out of them like a jack rabbit. Good times.

Do the Stu - thanks for posting that info about Black Country. Will they be putting out a new cd? I never knew Bonamassa and Jason Bonham played together. That's a really good combination.

Tracie, Happy 51st Birthday. Wow, you're almost Joe's age. I'm speechless! Happy Birthday to ya. What are you going to do to celebrate? Again, Happy Birthday.
Pip55: What, I can't even ask a simple question about how old someone is on their birthday? LOL. Hope things are going well for ya.
Hybes: That is some weather down there. You must have endured every single kind. Is Oklahoma the home to all kinds of weather? That's awesome you run. I am in a running group and we run anywhere from 3-10 miles. Some of them try to run with me, but I usually slow down my running/pace so the group and I can stay together. I tell those that it doesn't matter how fast or slow you go, what matters is what you accomplish. I like to cheer them all on. I really get motivated when I do my races and when I finish, I tend to go back and cheer on all the other participants. In my opinion, for those who finish in any race, they are considered winners to me because they accomplished that challenge. As for me, I haven't been running much (once or twice a week now) because of my jobs. I did put in a good 17-18 mile jog in yesterday (for about 2 hours & 15 minutes). I'm working on qualifying for the Boston Marathon. I do have a 20K Run coming up this Saturday.
DTS & Elpp: Austin, have fun at the Dream Theater & Iron Maiden concert/gig.
One more day until seeing Joe. Can't wait.
Grant

Whelp Freddy, thanks fer the good wishes and guess what? Yer #3 on mah a**-kickin list, LOL!! And U live close enuff fer me to just drive there to do it!! LOL!!! How's Shannon doing? But it's okay if you don't wanna share any updates, hugs to ya both.
Thanks Don, yer weather sounds wunnerful, it's gonna be in the low 50's here, after hitting around 70 the pat coupla days...sigh....you too hybes, what a roller-coaster it's been in Oklahoma!! I'm trying to remember, but I think we had a really serious snow there one year in MAY...I could be wrong about the month though, the memory ain't what it used to be since my brain cells are "frekking old" ....lol!
Yeah Grant, 51 makes me speechless too =| But it's okay, I'm even more famous than Joe....there's not many people in the world who don't like cheese ;D As to celebrating, did that last weekend when my son was home, nice family dinner. Today, just hangin out, lil house work, lil yard work, and a movie with my lil mum :) Typical Sunday! Have a WONDERFUL time with Joe tomorrow, I know you will! Blow him a kiss from all of us here!!

Glitz Man! Grant - I looked on Sweetwater's site as soon as I knew about the event, but they didn't have anything setup for registration at that time... by the time I saw the event posted on their site, I registered but only got into the Conference Hall, and not the Performance Hall. :( A co-worker/Joe fan and I hope to be at Sweetwater by 5-5:30pm. I'm still hoping we can somehow make it into the Performance hall... Either way, the 3 hour drive up will be worth it I'm sure.
...maybe JOE could get a T2J guy and his buddy into the performance hall??? :)
did I mention I will have driven 800 miles round trip in a 5 day period to see JOE? I could at least be up for eligibile for some JoeMiles or something...haha

I think roo's trip to Chickenfoot in Berkeley and Universal City last year puts him toward the top of the list, although I think Patricia still has him beat with her multiple trips from the UK to both the east and west coasts of the US.
I've seen Joe 30 times, but I've never traveled farther than about 125 miles from "home" for me in either southern or northern CA. Even if I only count Long Beach as home I'm still not close...the drive to San Francisco is long (400 miles), but it's only 25 miles to Anaheim and 30 miles to Los Angeles.
It's likely Tracie/cheese101, her son Chris, and other Oregon-based Satch fans have logged more miles than me...even with fewer shows.
...Austin...

Distorted Soul: Rick, you & your friend might still get a chance. If some people don't show (no later than 6:40 P.M.), then those in the Conference Hall could move up. However, it is in sequential order. Hope you two get in. We could meet up, if you like. E-mail me or post back.
I am so excited for Monday night. OH YEAH!

Hey Joe!: I found out this St.Patty's day that I will have to have the front half of my right foot REMOVED. Not good folks. But, I look at it once I saw the bone scan on that Monday, I may loose a battle, but will win the WAR! Nothing like what Kayla's Mom is going thru. Bless you Girl and Mom too. I also noted your new JS model Ibanez guitar, The JS2400 WH with a single space humbucker in the fretboard position and a Mo'Joe Humbucker at the bridge. Great set-up. You now have plenty of room to hack at those upper order harmonics on this model. Your write up in guitarplayer mag was pretty good too. 10 ways to sound like.....you! A dead on article. Randell
