The New York Times has music news.....April 1, 2010 issue online by Anthony Tommasini (Italian last name reminds me of some special musician named JOE).

Anyways the article is "A Shaper of American Music, and Musicians." The article is about William Schuman and how he and his contemporaries saw the roles of musicians in the 20th century. Interesting.

I like keeping up with music news of all kinds.

Cheese101-- Peace Lily I don't know about the strawberry and stuff, but tres leches translates to 3 milks? It's too sweet for me so I don't eat it.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Mom is finally at rest now. I could not have made it through this without family and friends behind me.

Special thanks to Joe for reaching out to me personally. Just a few words means so much.

Austin - One song that personally helped me this week was Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness. I was imagining Mom's trip to Heaven, especially for her being reunited my Dad again.

GG2..you may want to look into small little gizmos like the pandora by roland. models amps and cabinets has effects and you hear it all through your headphones. don't disturb the neighbors this way. also has some basic bass and drum tracks you can play to.

Hey Joe, Grant, Skippygirl, Death Cube, Oxley and all the nice people of T2J...Hope you and your family have a Very Happy Easter!..ok..HE to the nasty wench too

Guitar Player Issue May 2010 10 Things you gotta do to play like Joe Satriani

#8 excerp "Dog whistling harmonic dive bombs (that super-high A harmonic on the 3rd String / Second Fret is a favorite)"

I know you didnt write this but did the guy ever see your signature Satch Scream.?..clearly not....being in Guitar Player this is a major error. Though i will admit...he is partially correct as i use that harmonic to do "your" scream my way..lol

good day to all! well it's finally dry here! no rain the last 3 days and plenty of bright sunshine with highs near 70! most of the flooding has receded but now you can really see the damage that was done. it's pretty extensive. thank goodness we didn't have to go through that. i can't even imagine the poor folks who already were down thanks to the %13 unemployment and now losing thier homes to the floods instead of the banks. counting my blessings. may not have a job yet but still got the house. have a great day everyone, we're heading out to the park to enjoy the day!
