while riding down the road the other day and jamming down with " surfing with the alien, hunger over came me....i drove thru the drive thru of macdonalds and purchased a happy meal....to my surprise the toy inside was the " silver surfer', I was shocked at the oddity of something like that happening.
It looks exactly like the silver surfer on the album cover.
was that all just a fluke?

Here's one backatcha! Told the hubs about an hour ago that he already bought me something for my birthday, he just doesn't know it. He said what? I smiled real big and said tickets for Disturbed. lol! He's not gonna last through the first 2 acts. lol! He might wanna find some ear plugs that block out ALL the sound. lol! If I can sit through Jackson Browne for him & get so depressed I wanna jump off the feckin balcony, he can sit through this for me :-) lmao!!
Here ya go T, a quick compilation - just for you! LMMFAO!!!

Cheese - wow that's a lovely guitar, can't believe the seller didn't put a reserve on it, and I would have thought a specialist auction house would make sure he got a top price from a collector.
This may have been posted already, but I heard the release date for the Batch of Satch is october 5 - which is fantastic because that's my birthday :0).

The Silver Surfer first appeared in comics in 1966. Joe (or the album designer) obviously borrowed the idea. Not sure if Joe is a fan of the super hero for the song idea. A Silver Surfer movies is in the makes to my knowledge.

Ozzyfudd, there was a bug with posting that I fixed in the new version I posted today.
What happens when you try to post?
Apple's been taking about 7 to 10 days lately to approve new submissions, so you should have the update in just over a week.
I just bought a signed chickenfoot guitar off eBay! Excellent Roo

Sorry about the app issues, I tried posting an update when apple brought out iOS 4, to fix the changes they made that broke it. But they also changed the rules for submission that meant I had to rewrite a lot of the app to not use a library I was using to format the posts in the table. It took a while but it's now submitted. I'm working on a couple of minor changes to submit once this version gets approved. Roo

Wow... October 5th album release. That's about 6 weeks away, and for the most part things have been pretty quiet about it. I'm surprised there haven't been any wacky podcasts or anything more than the couple of video greetings from the studio that we've seen so far. There's not even a name for it yet (that we know of)! I'm just surprised there's not more momentum building is all, I guess. It's about time to start pre-orders, even...
In other news, I read the other day that Sammy Hagar is officially 100% out of the tequila business. He sold off his remaining 20% stake of Cabo Wabo for $12 million. That should add a nice bit to the $80 mil he got a few years ago for the first 80% of the company. I was really surprised to see that he gave it up, but the article said that was part of the original deal. I wonder if he'll start up another brand, or retire from that business?

Cube, I think I see in one of the pictures what you're talking about, the caps being shot, if you mean just underneath them...I dint notice that before you said anything :) The guitar is now up to $16,500 with 4 and a half hours to go. I'm watching it out of curiousity just to see how much it goes for, I'm not bidding. Is it still a good deal at that price?
Did you see the same seller has a 1938 Martin 0-17 acoustic plus original case for sale too? Right now it has a bid of $1050 on it with 8 hours to go. I know old doesn't always mean good, but whaddya think of that deal? Again, just curious, not in the market to buy.....
So possibly Oct 5th eh? Joe does like to release on Tuesdays...maybe that's standard in the industry. That fits in well with the start of the European tour. Galen posted that he's learned the first of the new songs already and it's "RAWK!" So we know we'll see him....then Stu posted with a "sigh" so I guess we won't see him. Mike K is in, I'm going to assume Jeff C is in, so all we need to know is who is playing bass this go-around? 7 weeks to album drop, we need info!!! And of course, US tour dates!! So exciting!!

MIchelle - it's Chelle day today? Happy Birthday! Hope it's a great day
Cheese - Joe's bassist will be Allen Whitman - or it should be. Super nice guy... said my playing sounded great... er, ok then
Joe - that's an awesome title if that really is it. I'm thinking a typo though and it's "Black Swans & Wormhole Wizards" if so?
Just a guess

Michelle- Happy Birthday .....hope its a great day for you .
Cheese- Thanks for all the new Joe info .......
I do wish I was going to Tahoe myself but I don't think I can swing it.....hubby can not get away and I don't feel comfortable traveling by myself..most every body who would go with me has plans. I think I might join in on the all gals four wheeling trip planned for that weekend instead.
Pip55- Black Swan makes more sense to me after reading your wikipedia link>>>>>>>>>>
Identifying a black swan event
Based on the author's criteria:
1. The event is a surprise (to the observer).
2. The event has a major impact.
3. After the fact, the event is rationalized by hindsight, as if it had been expected.
Joe ..can we get a little info here......PLEASE? :-)

I like Black Swans better too, at least I can wrap my brain around that, lol!! I guess all will be revealed in time...sigh....
Cube, the Gibson ended, winning bid was $19,500...izat good? The Martin has a coupla hours to go and there's not much activity on it.
Did I already say HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELLE? MICHELLE? SEACHELLE? CHELLEBELLE? :)
