There's a band of boys who wrote songs in 1972 unveiled now in 2010. Will they achieve any success in music scene ?

hey joe i seen your video about how you love guitar pedals but some of the older ones dont work and you can't get parts. I custom build guitar amps and effects. Ive been building them for years. Let me know which ones are broken. chances are i might have the schematic, I probably already built it and can fix yours. Your right, electronics part mainly the chips change over the years. like for example. most flangers and chours pedals used a sad1024 bucket brigade chip. that's how it modulates and gets its sound. well, they don't make it. but what we do is we find an equivalent part such as ca3007. the catch is that 1024 is a dual chip(2 functions in one package) and 3007 is one, so you have to use 2. Then I update the schematic and make another circuit board layout pattern, burn a board, solder parts, and fire it up. Now i have a flanger almost to original specs and it really made no difference to the sound or performance. cool huh! oh I also have been a big fan of your music since 86, and Ihave been playing sacth song since!! And chickenfoot sounds great!! ok take care

I think somebody might have posted this before, but I missed the link. Particle (feat Joe Satriani and DJ Logic) - 'W'

Kinda trippy.

The little jam towards the end is pretty cool.

Are things like Silver Surfers real something I been thinking about alot over the past few years. I guess you wanted to hear your fans thoughts and really see what is going through their heads. Are superheros and supervillians real are mutants real . Can someone who super become unsuper? I remember learning superlatives in 2nd grade and to make a word unsuper you had to put not one but two poisoned word in front of it. This brings me back to superheros like superman. He is super right but when he is poisoned with cryptonite he loses his powers and when the cryptonite is destroyed he regains his powers. Can a child be a supervillian becasue I think I am one and I'll tell you why. When I was a child in elementary school "Eric Clapton" came to our school to hand out jellybeans and he handed me a assortment of colors in my left hand. He then ask me to hold out my right hand and he gave me a green and a white jellybean. My friend who got jellybeans before me got a golden jellybean. Now what was weird was we got a write to bands. A teacher would ask us questions and she would write down our answers on a poster on the wall. Now I going to tell you that some of our answer to the questions were use in songs in the 1980's but you would not believe me. This is were it gets weird. Now after years of listening to these songs and finaly remembering the connection something seemed similar about the songs. The songs were about someone killing a kid. Not that the song was about that but you would hear things in the mix. I know you being a musician you know all about this stuff. Someone words are in a song and the band tells the audience what they did or what they are. Now here are the songs if you don't believe me. "Slegehammer" by Peter Gabriel in this the question was "what needs something else?" my friend said that a train needs tracks and I said I airplane needs the sky. I mean it's changed but you have a train with tracks and a plane flying if you bring your blue skies back. Question #2 "What if would you tell your friend to do if he needed your help?" I answered "just call me". In the song "Just call me I be anything you need". Now the second verse is not me or my friends maybe it is other kids answers. another question is about friendship and I answered "Show for me I will show for you" which is in the song but I think it is suppose to be a bushes words and are brilliant. Everytime I start taking about what I did as a child in a forum someone says they think it brilliant. So I don't know really what they're talking about because I did not have many friends and I was not cool. Even the elementary class I grew up with to middle school start calling me bush after I started writing letters to a girl in the 7th I had a crush on which may have been used for songs. The another song is "Big Time" which was suppose to be my song the part "I am going watch it grow wings" is taken from a mistake in the elementary school paper. It was about a plant I was going to watch grow. but I misspelled "growing" with "growwings". I think that was my mistake or my friends but I guess Peter like it. They also got a copy of our school paper so they know it was us or something like that. The question to "It so much larger than life" is "Love is so much larger than life. The answers "small" town and "small" words and "smarter" than that were by me. The rest of the questions I answer with "big" and I got exicited and said "make it all big". Do you think Peter Gabriel remembers who I am? Do people reallyknow how old I was or what I did? How many others are out there like me? Why didn't bands come? This is stuff I think about when I drink and listen to music. And the memory still remains.... Please message me if have some answers. Maybe you could explain it.

Hey, TheBob, thanks for the heads up on DT coming to Portland.

I ordered a GA ticket so I intend to make it up there. (or kiss the low ticket price goodbye)

Maybe someday it'll work out for Joe or CF to come.

Joe- The Arizona state law hit me wrong as well. I managed a facility here in AR and I relied heavily on illegals simply because the native workforce just would not work out. When 911 came about and we got the increased security at the borders, all it did was raise the price for safe passgae from $3000 to $6000. I expect the new Arizona law will raise it to well over $10,000. More $$ for the real crooks. You would be shocked to know how many are still coming over safely. The ones who don't have the $ are the ones risking their lives. The $ comes from relatives already here and Arizona was where all this orderly transfer takes place.

I go on to say that these boys that were coming up from Mexico were fine individuals. They had lots of respect for the fellow man and they were very moral people.

BTW I am really enjoying the Paris DVD and cannot wait to get my Buzz on DVD... Peace

Crappy - Yes. Runnin Out was not on the concert. They play a instrumental only version during the closing credits. Replacing it with Bad Motor Scooter was just fine IMO. It freakin' smoked!

Well, that was lucky..

For many years now I have been listening to the orgasm inducing music of Joe Satriani, and I have always managed to somehow miss out on tickets to his live shows by days, sometimes even hours. Not this time, ohhhhh no, my radio station of choice happened to mention that they will be having a presale for his shows in October. It was at this exact moment, hearing what had to be lies, that I looked on in sheer shock and excitement, swerved over to the wrong lane and missed a cyclist by about 2 inches. Fuck it, I need to get home and tell someone.

Somehow I made it home alive. Jumping out of the car, storming through the front door and shouting at my wife. "CALM DOWN!" she shouted back, "what on earth is up with you?".

"Oh my God, you have no idea... OH MY GOD! I have just heard that there is a... FUCK... Joe Satriani concert in October... The presale tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am!" I yelled.

"Erm, great honey! Well done..." she didn't seem as happy as I was.

"IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY?! FOR OVER 12 YEARS I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT, EACH TIME HE TOURS I MISS IT FOR SOME STUPID REASON! I WILL NOT MISS IT THIS TIME".

"Stupid Reason? Like our wedding?"

...

So.. anyway, the next day at work... I logged onto planetrock.com (radio station site) at 8:30am and clicked refresh every 10 seconds, my heart racing faster at every click.

9am: There it was! The link to my dreams... I clicked on it, went through some horrible login/register screen and saw that my tickets were reserved for 15 minutes whilst I registered.

"Please be swift in the processing of my transaction" is what I wanted to shout, but instead it came out as "COME ON YOU STUPID PIECE OF SHIT". This didn't go down to well with my boss, or my bosses boss. I didn't care.

Finally I got through, bought 3 tickets and printed the receipt. Amidst all this chaos and panic I didn't actually see what seat I had been allocated..... I looked down, and had a mild heart attack.

ROW A

The moral of this story is that no matter how long it takes and no matter how many times you fail, do not give up on your dreams. In the end, you will be rewarded ten fold.

LOL! Loader, I can relate....buying tix to a Joe-show is always anxiety-causing until it's all said and done.

Good job, and I already know I don't need to say enjoy the show, cuz....it's JOE!!! Hope the other 2 people going with you are just as thrilled as you are. Now, go to the road page and register yourself as attending your show, and that will put you in the drawing for aftershow meet and greet passes...if you win, you get to meet Joe!! Good luck!

Skippy, I may take you up on your offer of assistance some day. If I do make it to Oz again, I might need yer wisdom in figuring out where to go, what to do while there, and best places to stay. Oh, and how to navigate places to see as many Joe-shows as possible, LOL!! I've been to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney before, but as a teenager where I dint really have to pay attention, lol!!

Happy Sunday peeps, I'm proud and happy to say that today....is my dad's 88th birthday!! Dint think he'd be here for it just a few months ago, but here we are....birthday barbeque bash coming up in a few hours!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, LOVE YA TO PIECES!!
