Eddie Trunk (the host of That Metal Show, which had Satch on as a guest recently) also hosts a radio show in New York called Friday Night Rocks. The show from this past Friday is pretty cool and is well worth listening to...the guests were Gary Cherone, Nuno Bettencourt, and Mike Portnoy and they talked about everything from Extreme to Rihanna to Chickenfoot to Van Halen III and a million other things.

You can listen to it all on YouTube, in 11 pieces:

- Part 1
- Chickenfoot is mentioned in Part 5 and Part 6
- Mike Portnoy joins the conversation in Part 8

Just thought I'd share, since it's such a great interview...enjoy!

What up T2jers who ie everybody?

I saw Joe Bonamassa last night and OMG!!!! Truly Truly amazing!!! I just can't even describe his playing in words. He brought so much energy to that place it was insane. It was totally epic. Joe also told a story about a show years ago in downtown Philly that he had to cancel because no one bought a ticket, can you imagine that? But go on his website and find out if he's playing near you and go just GO!! Trust me you wont be disappointed at all. He definitely gets my vote on the next G3 that would be crazy the two Joes on the same stage. check one of the songs he did Mountain Time not my video by the way.

Chunky monkey - I'm already there! My brainbox point blank refuses to grow old.

Zinc - I prefer running outdoors, on a warm sunny day with a beer in my hand I can watch it for ages.

So - you prefer to watch running - not running yourself.

Since, if you are running w/ a beer - it would get all foamy - and that is no fun.

I enjoy a good run, then sitting on my deck w/ 1-3 cold beers and grilling dinner.

Zinc - Joking aside I just don't enjoy running anymore. It reminds me how good I used to be and that I can't cut it anymore due to advancing years. I'm still in better nick than the majority of blokes my age but I miss being able to just run for a couple of miles to get loose before really letting rip for half a mile or so then having a nice mile or two to warm down.

Long time no see y'all. Was thinking of changing my username again. How does Alien32NonSmokerSupaaDaveSirLoinDOM sound? I know there are more but I can't think of them at the moment. But I can only be held accountable for the first three. I know it's easy to make assumptions when folks take a leave of absence. I have no excuses..I've been working, metal detecting and getting the garden ready. Will post some pic's of my coin finds when it's safe to return ;) Peace..

I have 100 or so posts to catch up on...I've had a busy weekend.

First, though, I assume everyone has seen the My Kinda Girl video by now? You can watch it at the Chickenfoot site. I'm glad the song is finally getting the "single" treatment.

In the video I think some of the words fly by too quickly or are too hard to make out over the images behind them, but I love the overall concept. If you don't "get" it, you might want to check out the videos for Van Halen's Right Now and Sammy Hagar's Cosmic Universal Fashion.

I missed the Chickenfoot webcast, as I said earlier. Where there any surprises? New covers? Some Hendrix, maybe?

I'm glad Highway Star was played, but it still bugs me that Joe and Sammy aren't doing the call-and-response bit the way Deep Purple does it. ;-)

BigBunny - Welcome back...it's always good to see posts from you here.
hybes - Glad you like the new Slash album!
McDave - Welcome back...and man, I remember alien32! How long ago was it that you had that name?
Blue_Moon - I like it a lot...very Satch-y tone in spots. Are you using your JS? Oh, and I do love that change toward the end...
