Ozzfest 2010-OZZY OSBOURNE AND MOTLEY CRUE Co-Headline

....

OZZFEST RETURNS:....

....

EXPLOSIVE 2010 BILL THIS SUMMER....

TO BE HEADLINED BY ....

OZZY OSBOURNE AND MOTLEY CRUE....

....

OTHER ARTISTS ONBOARD INCLUDE....

METAL LEGEND ROB HALFORD,....

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, DEVILDRIVER, AND DROWNING POOL....

....

This is the tour where the fans have always screamed the loudest…....

....

More than 15 years after OZZY OSBOURNE debuted OZZFest, the defining blueprint for hard rock tours and festivals returns this August in six American cities with an explosive bill co-headlined by OZZY and, in their first-ever OZZFest appearance, Mötley Crüe--touring together for the first time with OZZY since he invited the group on their now legendary 1984 arena tour. Expect the energy to go way off the charts at the all-day extravaganza of music and deranged merriment.....

....

The 2010 OZZFest--back after taking a year off in 2009 and the 2008 one-off stadium spectacular in Dallas, TX with OZZY and Metallica headlining--will kick off August 14 in San Bernardino (the birthplace of the first OZZFest in 1996) and then make stops in Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT, Camden, NJ, Pittsburgh, PA and Boston, MA. Live Nation will promote the tour nationally. ....

...

The main stage will feature full sets from Ozzy, Mötley Crüe and Rob Halford (who last appeared on OZZFest in 2004 with Judas Priest), performing songs from his solo career along with material from Judas Priest and Fight. DevilDriver and Nonpoint will round out the main stage line-up. Second stage headliners and six-time OZZFest veterans Black Label Society will be joined by Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, and Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm. ....

....

Each OZZFest date will include 13 bands on two stages with music beginning at 1:00 PM. In addition, concert-goers can once again visit the OZZFest “Village of the Damned” featuring a mix of interactive activities, shopping and entertainment throughout the venue concourses.....

....

These OZZFest dates mark the first concerts in the U.S. in connection with the June 15 release of SCREAM (Epic Records), the OZZFest’s founder’s first album in three years and 10th studio album overall. OZZY’s band consists of his OZZY’s new guitar player, Gus G., bassist Blasko, drummer Tommy Clufetos and keyboardist Adam Wakeman.....

....

Tickets for the show’s go on sale May 22 at www.OZZfest.com and www.LiveNation.com.....

....

The 2010 OZZFEST dates are as follows:....

DATE CITY VENUE....

Sat, Aug 14 San Bernardino, CA San Manuel Amphitheater....

Tue, Aug 17 Chicago, IL First Midwest Bank Amp.....

Thurs, Aug 19 Pittsburgh, PA First Niagara Pavilion....

Sat , Aug 21 Hartford, CT Comcast Theater....

Sun, Aug 22 Camden, NJ Susquehanna....

Tue, Aug 24 Boston, MA Comcast Center....

....

About OZZFest: ....

Since 1996, OZZFest has been a virtual breeding ground for rising bands. The festival has been instrumental in igniting the careers of platinum-selling artists like System of a Down, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Incubus, Slipknot, Queens of the Stone Age, Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Mudvayne, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage and Lacuna Coil, among others. It was cited as "one of rock's biggest juggernauts" in the cover feature of Sunday's New York Times' "Arts & Leisure" section (6/25/06). ....

Hey Joe, I have a question: Do you make up the names to your songs? they sound cool and 2: Did you make the art for your albums?

Do The Stu I couldn't tell you which song was substituted for what. I was caught up in the moment and don't remember the songs or the order. What I do remember is the 1st song of the EOC tour. I'll try to paint the visual for all to see what I saw that night.

As the lights go down we barely hear the beginning chords strummed for Not Of This Earth the crowd is going nuts. It's still dark and we can't see anyone on stage yet.

Then Jeff starts in with his beat and the light shines on him. Then Stu is illuminated and he is playing his bass line, while swaying like he does. (He's doing the Stu) A few bars later the light shines on Eric as he's playing rhythm. Finally the song kicks in and Joe walks out in black with his shades on, smiling at everyone and just taking command of the stage and the crowd that is like puddy in his hands.

Can everyone see the visual now?

Listening to Echo from SWTA, haven't actually listened to the song in a few years. For me tonight it's the perfect song to chill to on a quiet Friday evening.

Puddy - is that like puddy tat? Or silly puddy? Lol , sounds like a wonderful experience with Joe.

Axe - good news from Joe re the 2nd Foot CD. In another interview he said he is touring Europe in October on a solo (think I said it on FB) so lucky buggers in Europe have some Joe coming up. All Aussies have fingers crossed he swings by on his way home.

Hello Joe and everyone else on the board from SINGAPORE! :D

Check out Rosli Mansor - A local rock guitar instrumentalist who counts Joe as one of his playing influences! He just launched his second album 'Deeper Than Purple' on the 3rd of April 2010.

I'm proud to be his photographer because I think Rosli has that special something. If you guys have the time, please take a while to find out about him and his music at his Myspace and his personal website !

Singapore isn't exactly as receptive towards instrumental music as the USA and other parts of the world, so it isn't easy! I'd really appreciate it if you guys (especially Joe!) just have a listen, and tell me what you think! What you like (or not), and constructive criticism is always welcome!

Cheers!
Vicki (:

Hi, Joe! I'm probably your youngest fan. I'm twelve, by the way. I'd like to say that your the most amazing guitar player ever! My Dad and I are inspired by you. I love all your songs and I'm learning "Just like lightnin'" on acoustic guitar. I'm not that good though, any helpful tips?

michelle - That's an awesome video...thanks for sharing it. Joe is so shy, hiding behind that big acoustic guitar like that! ;-)

bluebuffalo - Ah, you got NOTE as well? That's awesome, then.

The show opening as you describe it is what we got on the opening night of the EOC tour in Sacramento, except the song was Time. That was my first Satch show, and man was it awesome. Stuuu played Linus And Lucy during his solo, too.

Hello Joe Saw your "I just wanna rock" consert in Denmark-08. Since then I have been waiting for the "Live in Paris" DVD, from the concert you had a few days before. I was VERY disapointed when I watched it. Way to much effects and strange colors. The atmosphere you create live, and the memories from the concert was gone. How about a no-fx "Live in Paris" version for the fans sometimes in the future?

Here is the Washington Post's Mensa Invitational which once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are the winners:

1. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period of time.

2. Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an a**hole.

3. Intaxicaton: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.

4. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

5. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

6. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid.

7. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high

8. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

9. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

10. Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)

11. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.

12. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.

13. Glibido: All talk and no action.

14. Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

15. Arachnoleptic Fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.

16. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

17. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.

The Washington Post has also published the winning submissions to its yearly contest, in which readers are asked to supply alternate meanings for common words.

And the winners are:

1. Coffee (n.): The person upon whom one coughs.

2. Flabbergasted (adj.): Appalled by discovering how much weight one has gained.

3. Abdicate (v.): To give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.

4. Esplanade (v.): To attempt an explanation while drunk.

5. Willy-nilly (adj.): Impotent.

6. Negligent (adj.): Absentmindedly answering the door when wearing only a nightgown.

7. Lymph (v.): To walk with a lisp.

8. Gargoyle (n.): Olive-flavored mouthwash.

9. Flatulence (n.): Emergency vehicle that picks up someone who has been run over by a steamroller.

10. Balderdash (n.): A rapidly receding hairline.

11. Testicle (n.): A humorous question on an exam.

12. Rectitude (n.): The formal, dignified bearing adopted by proctologists.

13. Pokemon (n.): A Rastafarian proctologist.

14. Oyster (n.): A person who sprinkles his conversation with Yiddishisms.

15. Frisbeetarianism (n.): The belief that, after death, the soul flies up onto the roof and gets stuck there.

16. Circumvent (n.): An opening in the front of boxer shorts worn by Jewish men.
