Austin, as long as I'm makin stuff up as I go, what's wrong with swinging by Australia after Europe...he's already "out there" with all the gear packed, roadies, band, etc....just a lil hop, skip and a jump, LOL!!

Love ya Joe!! :)

Chad, glad to hear our lil berry is doing good except fer his colorful vocabulary, LOL!!

hybes, HANNNNNNNNNG ONNNNNNNNNN!!! Jayz, it's def tornado season there! As I well remember!

Skippy, somehow it just ain't right to see the Wabos playin SLT....where was Joe and Chad!! And what lil bird gave you a hint there might be a CF gig at Tahoe Sept 11? Cuz if that's true, I might consider going, although I hated all the drunks at that show, seemed like the place was over-full of em, more than at any other show I've been to. They took a lil of the shine off the show cuz we couldn't just concentrate and enjoy the music....we had to fend our bodies off from staggering stoopid people, constantly. So I'd hafta thunk hard about it before I go.....as fer Davy Knowles, hell yeah! Jacksonville, The Britt Festival, is just over the hill from me and just down the way from Chris. I mentioned it to him this morning, along with Tommy Emmanuel being there later this summer and he's stoked!! So we'll def check it out, thanks!

Mckenna, would Joe ignore his favorite Irish guy and skip Ireland on his Euro tour? Mebbe.....but I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya :D

Happy Vacation week chelle-belle!

I hear ya, but u can never have too much Joe :)

More dates on the road page, including several in England, and Scotland! Can Ireland be far behind?? We can twitter ya next week Mc, if that'll help and a show pops up :)

PS...I see that people need a password for the pre-sale....anyone have any idea what the password is? I'm not heading over for those shows, but I'm thinkin some people might appreciate knowing so they can buy early. Webby Jon?

Cheese - No kidding! It's definitely tornado season! This morning there were 37 confirmed tornado's yesterday. I have never seen anything like it. They were lowering, tearing stuff up and going back up so fast that the storm chasers couldn't keep up with them. It was wild. There was 1 tornado that had 4 vortex to it.

There were hail so big and traveling so fast that they were actually going right through roofs. We have 18 holes in my roof at work. The maintenance guy said it looks like someone took a shotgun and shot holes in the roof. Crazy.

I went to a few more Dodgers game in the past week or so...that makes six so far this season. I have photos up on Facebook, if anyone wants to take a look.

The Dodgers were outscored 30-9 in the last three games I went to, but I still had fun. ;-)

Skippygirl / cheese101 - It doesn't really bother me to see Sammy playing Sexy Little Thing. And actually, I think Vic Johnson did a great job with Joe's guitar part. At least Mikey was up there too, so it was half of Chickenfoot. It might bug me a little more if it were only Sammy and his solo band playing the song.

Anyway...

Do the Stu - Manny came off Estrogen and has never been the same since. No more anger issues to crush the ball out of the park! LOL. Juuuuuust Kidddding! I swear.

So with Joe working on a solo album, Sammy off doing solo stuff, who knows what's up with Chad.....Anyone heard what the plan going forward is for Chickenfoot? Surely they won't try to get in studio and put together an album before Joe hits the studio for a solo album. Right?

Hey everybody! I have to tell ya. I really hate people who are narrow-minded. I bet everybody here has witnessed people who have said that Joe's music sounds all the same. That really makes me mad. I just don't understand it. If they would just broaden their horizon and give it more of a listen they would really see(and hear). It's okay if you don't really like the type of music or the style he plays in, but don't just disclose it as "it all sounds the same".

But other than that, has any body seen the video with Joe jamming on the Ice 9?? Pretty good stuff. I like the nice warm tone it provides. And it could be really sharp if you want it to. And I couldn't help but notice that right in the middle of the screen next to the Ice 9 is the Marshall insignia on the amp. I think Joe is sticking with Marshall for the time being.

Hi Joe. I 'Artie fufkined' you outside the Royal Albert Hall's Artists entrance, back in the late 90's. Do you remember? You laughed and even finished off the line for me by saying 'kick my ass for a man, that's all! Then i met you again on the other side and you signed my Rizla paper coz i came totally unprepared. Should have brought my ladders! I guess you could say we were 'good mates'... for about 3 seconds! Keep making great music, Joe!

Live In Paris is being re-issued with better audio by Sony you can send your disc in and get a replacement. Listening to it right now on the way to work I reckon the sound is great but that's why I'm not a sound engineer

Wow...I missed a few weeks of viewin' here and had 20 pages to catch up on! :) Well, the Arizona bill passage is just another "fine" example of legislators that don't need re-elected. Really, if the law gets any more flagrant in position they might as well declare marshall law and be done with it. :O

A thanks to Mr. Luini for posting my Sweetwater pics in the photo area...I still love that shot with the kid Joe had come up onstage for a pic of his pick in hand...THAT's what you call sensitivity & hospitality. Hollywood needs more of it, Joe...superb attitude! :-)

Grant, I hope you're recovering from those long runs...but, I STILL think you need to try the Badwater Marathon while yer young. :P

I got the official results from the Indy-Mini. There were 31,044 participants for the half-marathon. My official time was 1 hour, 24 minutes, and 29 seconds. My overall placing was 252 (a 333 jump from last year).

There are a couple of races coming up soon before the Sunburst Marathon in June.

Thanks for the praise from you all.

Brad: It's a possibility for me. Right now, I'll be doing a marathon in South Bend, IN on June 5th, hoping that I would be able to qualify for Boston. I just need to watch my pace/speed. Next year, I'm going to try to run the Boston, Chicago, and New York CIty marathons (all of them). If I do Badwater, then maybe you could come and watch.

Hybes: Mark, I was stunned when I saw/heard about those tornadoes down there. Hope things get better down there.

Distorted Soul: Sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet up last weekend when I was in Indy. Hope all is going well for ya dude.

I enjoy all of Joe's music, and I like all the new styles/trends he does in each album. It's something different, and it's enjoyable for me. I enjoy the different kinds of music (eclectic).

Grant

meyersbw, what exactly is wrong with the Aizona law? it is exactly the same as the federal law we have lived with for seventy years. all they did was make the federal a state law so it could be enforced. since it seems that we can add federal border enforcement to the list of jobs that 'americans won't do'

hybes - I'm not much of a Manny Ramirez fan...yes, he can hit, but I think he has more negatives than positives as a player. He doesn't hustle...he plays hits to left field off the bounce instead of trying to make a catch, and he doesn't sprint to first base when he hits an infield grounder.

That said, he is fun to watch (and to get behind as a crowd). I was at a game earlier this year where he hit a pinch-hit home run to win the game, which was awesome.

About Chickenfoot, someone posted an interview here a week or two ago that said Joe and Sammy were writing together (I can dig up the link if you missed it). I think I heard something about Mike and/or Chad being involved in that too. Chad will be busy recording with the RHCP later this year, so even though Chickenfoot are writing now they won't be able to record anything until late 2010 or early 2011.

nizziny - Joe settled with Coldplay.
oxley11 - I'm disappointed in general by some people's refusal to give new music a try. I know some stuff I like (Satch, Dream Theater) isn't the most accessible, but bands like Dredg, Porcupine Tree, or even Riverside (I'm including a link because I haven't really mentioned them here before) could and should be hugely popular if people would just give 'em a chance. Oh well...
Skippygirl - It's the DVD audio with the problem, not the CD. I haven't noticed anything too odd...I'll have to listen to them side by side.
myersbw - Welcome back! What's been keeping you busy these past few weeks?

hey do the stu.

i have been listening to joe for a long time and some people i know like him and listen but not nearly as many as you would think, same goes for some of the other bands i have heard about since i found joe. i knew about joe in the 80s but didn't really wake up to him until the 2000s. since then i have looked at the bands that t2j people like and post about as well as the g-3 guys and the guests joe has had over the years. so far i am really into joe bonamassa and dream theater. andy timmons live is an awesome dvd and of course eric johnson too. i like erics cds better than the dvds though. i just wish we could get more material from him. i am really glad that guys like you post links to these guys so we can all find out about them. thanks

Hey all you die-hard Satch People!!!

Don't you guys think it would be so cool if Joe did his set list from the last decade only? Including his new stuff we're dying to hear of course...

But imagine all the GREAT tunes Joe created the last 10 years that we don't get to hear live again after that tour was over. Asik Veysel, Andalusia, Redshift Riders, One Robot's Dream, Made of Tears, all the great stuff Joe did on Space and Strange!

OR how about all post-Extremist? I am so into Crystal Planet and 1995 Joe S too...really those are my favs from that decade. EVERYthing on 1995 is as cool as #9 to me!

Austin, some new music is just soooo bad! I damn near broke my ass today trying to get out of the shower and hit the OFF button on the radio across the room when a Muse song came on. Such utter crap! I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore because that's pretty much all the local station here plays. Great Philly stations, but we're in a suction zone and hardly ever get anything but static on them. About 2 weeks ago my husband almost put the clock radio through the wall at 5 a.m. trying to slam it off when that feckin' Train song came on to wake us up. lol! It's Soul Sister or something, but theee most annoying tune to wake up to!! It seems like they play the same stupid songs at the same time of day ferchristsake! Then again, if I bought an alarm radio that played music I like, I'd prolly never get up and just lay there and relax to it...so I guess it serves a purpose. lol!
