You guys have to check this out - lots of peeps playing Shoot To Thrill in a competition via Justin Sandercoe and the winner gets a custom ACDC guitar. Check out the video submissions here on youtube.

There's a great 13 year old kid, a couple of ACDC tribute bands, an Italian guy rockin his heart out, lots of bedroom guitar vids, I really enjoyed watching them. Shame there are no women (no, I doubt I could learn it in time and besides I'm crap).

Surely all the great T2J guitarists could rip this up easily and take out the prize? C'marn!!!! I wanna see some T2jers up there - .

Chrispy? Axe? Pip? Ken? Dave? Roy? Al? Fritz? Scube?

Would also love to see Joe play some ACDC one day too....

edit....hey Glitzy check out the Sweetwater vids Mystical Robot posted, you're there at the beginning haha.

Classy lady Nancy Reagan:

We could all learn so much from this elegant and gracious lady. You might recall that John Hinckley was a seriously deranged young man who shot President Reagan in the early 1980's. Hinckley was absolutely obsessed with movie star Jodie Foster, and in his twisted mind, loved Jodie to the point that to make himself well known to her, he attempted to assassinate President Reagan.

There is speculation Hinckley may soon be released as having been rehabilitated. Consequently, you will appreciate the following letter from Nancy Reagan to John Hinckley:

To: John Hinckley From: Mrs. Nancy Reagan

My family and I wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how pleased we are with the great strides you are making in your recovery. In our country's spirit of understanding and forgiveness, we want you to know that we bear no grudge against you for shooting President Reagan. We are fully aware that mental stress and pain could have driven you to such an act of desperation. We're confident that you will soon make a complete recovery and return to your family to join the world again as a healthy and productive man.

Best wishes, Nancy Reagan & Family

P.S. While you have been incarcerated, Barack Obama has been banging Jodie Foster like a screen door in a tornado. You might want to look into that.

I find American politics confusing. I went to a rally and clearly heard the announcer say 'Ladies and Gentlemen, barrack Obama'. As soon as I started heckling I was hustled the feck out of there. Sheesh, say one thing, mean another!

Hey guys! Not posting on my on computer right now because I still don't have virus-protection. :( But thanks for the reports on the Part 2 of my faves. Those decisions were a bit tougher. Memories just beat Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness by a little bit.
I'm so psyched for this new Ice 9 pedal! You go to voxamps.com and there you see Joe right on the front page with the pedal next to him. All this hype has got me wondering, when is it coming out????? How much is is going to cost??? Joe are you going to do one of those crazy, psychedelic commercials like you did for Time Machine?? That was funny as hell. The first commercial for the Ice 9 is just too.............official. And standard. You can make it like those Satchmosis and opening the garage with the Big Bad Wah commercials. You can make the Ice 9 have the ability to freeze your beverages whenever you want. lol I probably won't post for the next 2 or 3 days, so until then everybody. Later.

@pascal5609-i'm with you on that. I wish Joe would do a live concert and have it recorded with all of his tracks that don't have any recorded play time. Here are some good examples. 1.Hordes Of Locusts 2.The Forgotten Part 1&2 3.Motorcycle Driver 4.Why 5.All Alone 6.Luminous Flesh Giants 7.Secret Prayer 8. A Train Of Angels 9.Clouds Race Across The Sky 10.The Souls Of Distortion 11. If I Could Fly 12. It's So Good

He could easily make a concert out of these songs. Not exactly in this order persay though.

Has any really noticed his exclusion of his Is There Love In Space? songs in his live concerts. It is one his best albums and the only songs he has played from it was Searching at that G3 concert. It just perplexes me that he rarely talks about it too. It's not my favorite but I still love the album as a whole. But the thing is....... it has a weird hypnotic vibe to it. Like all of his work on it is just........different. The distortion he uses is great, but unlike any he has used before. And the character and personality of the songs are stranger than his past musical journeys. Have you ever been in a long car ride where the clouds completely cover the sky and it looks like rain and listened to the album twice over? I have. Legitimately, not trying to be funny, it changes you. Its a weird vibe that emanates from the album that I don't understand. It's the conflicting emotions on the album that confuse me also. You have the pure rock sound of GNNAHH and Up In Flames at the beginning which is Joe's style. But then you have the happy Just Look Up and the high-flying If I Could Fly contradicting against the dark, sorrowful, heavy feeling Souls Of Distortion and the bluesy, evil I Like The Rain. Then in the middle of all that you have the lonely, but strange Is There Love In Space? and Bamboo to finish it off. These things create a weird feeling in you that are just deep and powerful. And all you are doing is listening to music......

Hey Joe! And everyone for that matter. I just wanted to stop in and let you guys know that we have an excellent Satriani thread going over at the ESP Guitar forum:

http://bbs.espguitars.com/showthread.php?t=50702

The forum can be a rough ride for some folks, but our thread has been going strong discussing Joe's tone, his gear, his techniques, our favorite songs, YouTube clips, and anything related. It's over 60 pages now, and it's been a blast.

I'd invite you all to check it out and jump in the discussion. Enjoy!

Dr. Calvin Rickson, a scientist from Ohio State University, has invented a bra that keeps women's breasts from jiggling and prevents the nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in. At a news conference, after announcing the invention, a large group of men took Dr. Rickson outside and kicked the shit out of him.

Joe... I'm not sure how to ask, or what I'm asking exactly... but would it be possible to get your permission to use your earlier works as background music for my youtube channel videos? I'm sure you've been asked this before, and I do apologize for bothering you with such a request. I simply cannot find other music to fit the various videos I make or intend to make and only your music is so broad in so many aspects that I might be able to fit it in with my videos. I don't receive any money for my own work, it's all of an amateur general interest sort, and I would be sure to give proper credit and as best I can promote your music, artists that play with you in various concerts and albums/songs...
