js1200js1000 - yer that Tallan Latz is something, he's played with Davy Knowles a few times, just like an old pro.

Having a lovely Mothers Day so far, brekkie in bed reading the papers, got a little book of vouchers from the joeys which they made themselves, entitling me to have them do various tasks and chores (above and beyond their normal) "until they leave home"!!! So they are valid for many years haha.

We're heading off now to see Iron Man 2 in Gold Class luxury, if I can squeeze some uninterrupted guitar practice in well that will be a totally fab day.

Did I mention it was windy? I said 25 mph wind gusts. I stand corrected...

"Gusts of between 45 mph and 54 mph were recorded at the Reading Regional Airport tower this afternoon and the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J., issued a wind advisory for the county that will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday."

Much turbulence driving to get our daughter. There were a few times where the wind got all up on us and I thought we were gonna get airborne. lol! We didn't see even one 18 wheeler in the 45 minute drive there, and none on the way home either. I kept looking for a flying cow. lol!

Anyways, my baby's home and I'm happy!

Crank it! It's all good until the last few words....

then I wanna throw up a little.

BigBunny: A very complex issue. I agree about "what's wrong with bald?" My name means "Tonsured" or son of the young bald one. I got static from T2J for making a gufau about it. Bald is cool! Just think of your favorite actor/actress. Yes, even actress'. any way.........who cares so much what people look like so much when they have talent!!! I may be interesting for a minute.....

hey satch fans! i am glad to hear from joe on the Immigration issue. first joe i can't wait till your next solo lp comes out. i am psyched!

i don't want to see anyone ripped from their homes. my opinion is that our border has been pourous for too long. and needs to be built up. not just because of illegals, but terrorists. this is a real threat. yesterday, I briefly heard something about contaminated water with radioactivity.

can you imagine the consequences if someone purposely poisoned our water supplies? pack your bags!

my understanding is that this law just enforces the federal laws that are already in place. Since there seems to be a lot of in-action on the part of our President Arizona took it on themselves to do something about this problem. this is a soverign nation, but seems we lose our soverienty if we stick our heads in the sand and continue to do nothing.

Thanks for the good wishes Danny, that was nice of you!

Chris and I should be at a Nickelback concert right now but....due to circumstances beyond his control, sort of, he couldn't go after all. So I'm home, grumpy and out of sorts, wishing we were there. Decided not to go on my own...but if it'd been Joe, wild horses couldn't keep me away, LOL!

Sigh......

Anyway, sending out hugs and wishes for all the moms out there to have a lovely day tomorrow, or hope you had a lovely day today in some parts of the world :) I'm going to have my lil mum over for tea and a scary movie, then treat her and my dad to a special dinner and dessert :) I love dems sooooo!

Happy Mother's Day to Rubina....and Joe....I'm thinking of ya my friend, hugs to you especially.

Hi Joe,

I'm a huge fan, so much so, that I own 3 of your Js model guitars, Chromeboy(#485), Crystal Planet (#39), and just recently bought a Red JS1200. Anyway, I was wondering that if you're ever in the San Diego area, that I could somehow get you to sign the "Crystal Planet" and "Chromeboy" guitars. Just as an FYI, my favorite songs are Satch Boogie and Super Colossal, I can play them both. But on Satch, I can only play it at about 90% tempo. There's a number of other songs I'm working of as well...., keep the great music com'n. I'm hop'n you'll come and do a show here sometime, I've never been able to come see you live.

Btw, how do you get the sustain on Satch Boogie during the lead in? The only way I can get it to sound like you is to use a Slide (echh)...

Thanks,

Brian

I think the same, for that of "hunting" a people is an shit because you have to be hiding from the police and even you can not live freely s your social life and as joe said, leave your house to school, work etc. deque in fear getting caught, this is unfair

hybes  BigsBunny - How funny you say that about China. I was telling my wife the other night that if China decides to cash in it's chips, we'll be selling entire states to the Chinese, and short of going to war, there's nothing we can do about it. Our country is in a real pickle. We're not all that far from being the Greece of North America

hybes - did you see how the Dalai Lama was treated at the White House earlier this year? let out a side entrance past the garbage. Obama doesn't want to upset China. the US government is for freedom but when it comes to Tibet, can't touch it China owns us.

i heard on the news that the UK has worse debt then Greece. no riots there though? too busy watching Gordon Brown f**k up >=;P

edit: GO DOCKERS!! won 6/7 games \m/

Hello there Mr Satriani. My first message here, need to be cool and focused haha. First I wanna thank you for making great music that just gives me the same vibe every day. I dont know how you do it but it definitely effects on my state of soul, you know. I have a question for you. Hope you will answer. When youre in the process of making songs, do you want to capture the feeling in the melody? Is that the case with every song or its sometimes just about technical understanding? Do you feel a kind of pressure when youre creating a piece? I know when Im trying to express myself through playing (I play guitar for 10+ years) sometimes my mind is in conflict with my soul, because in my opinion mind gives you some limitations in creativity. Dont get me wrong, I know Im just human like everyone hahaha. Im not trying to be some kind of ET haha. I also wanted to ask you (risking possibility of stupid question) if you ever thought of making like grand orchestral music with epic melodies that blows everyones minds? It would be great if you ever decided that. I would personally be in first row watching and listening. Thats all from me me right now. I heard about the new album coming this year. Im very impatient to hear new material. Thank you again for years of great music, great live shows, great effort. Im from Croatia, I saw your concert in Opatia 3 years ago. Hope to meet you somehow. Thanks again. Good luck with everything

BigBunny - Ya, that's a real shame. It's very hypocritical if you ask me. The Chinese know they have us. They have been cyber attacking our electrical grid for the past couple of years now and we know it and can't do anything about it. Anyone that knows me knows that I'm an over the top positive guy, but watching the past 20 years in this country really makes me believe our days are numbered as a country with any clout. Hopefully I'm wrong. I hate to think that my kids and grand kids will have to endure that.

On to a bright note. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS ON THE SITE.

Joe - A special mother's day wish for your wife and your mom as I'm sure she's looking down on you with proud eyes.

Yesterday was a perfect day. Met up with family at the river, my mom & dad, brothers & sister-in-laws etc. The weather wonderful and as the sun was setting we sipped red wine and ate freshly caught fish taco's...after which my youngest daughter's boyfriend played his guitar & harmonica for us as we all mingled around the campfire. :-)

TheHawkguy- Thank you for your Mothers day wishes, was very kind. Hope you have a great day!

Cheese- I am sorry U are missing your concert ,bummer but I am sure your day will still be wonderful ..'cause you are spending it with your awesome parents.

Tomorrow I am going to a Daughtry concert with my sis and youngest daughter in Yakima WA. Should be fun, and Chris Daughtry is quite easy on the eyes IMHO..........

JsTony- Hugs for you .....( AND) for our JOE too. I hope memories will not be too painful today so soon after your loss.

Happy Mothers Day to all you moms out there! a little something i wrote for my mom a few years ago, redicated to all the moms here!

M is for the many times you stood by me, even when i made the wrong choices in my life.

O is for the one thing i can always be sure of, my mom will always love me.

T thank you for all the sacrifices you made in your life so that i could be happier in mine.

H is for the heartfelt love you always showed me no matter how little i showed you.

E for everything you have done for me, whithout your guidence i would not be who i am today.

R for the reason i write this to you. I want you to know that no matter where my life takes me, I know that i will always have the love, support and unwavering dedication to my happiness that only a mother can give. when all is said and done i know i will never lose your love and it makes my world a better place thinking of you mother.

Joe: i know your mom is still looking down proudly on her son on this Mother's Day and i hope your thoughts are of the great life she led and the love she showed her children!

Hey you Joe!

I am a huge Chickenfoot fan. I saw you guys at the Myth in Maplewood, MN on August 10, 2009. GREEAT SHOW!

Anyway, I have an idea for a cover song you guys can play on your next world tour.

I was listening to the radio the other day and Rick Derringer's "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" came on, and I immediately started hearing your guitar playing in the opening riffs! Then I started hearing Sammy singing (which he would have the perfect voice for) and Mike's background vocals, then I imagined Chad on drums.

I told my Dad (who is a big Chickenfoot fan too) that "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" would be a great song for you guys to play live in concert, and he agreed!

So maybe you guys can play that song on your next tour, because that would be amazing if you guys played that on the next Chickenfoot world tour!

Also, ever since I heard of Chickenfoot, I started loving all your guys's solo stuff including yours. Your a hell of a guitarist Joe!!

Your Loyal Fan, Dan Howard \,,/

Hey again Joe,

Listen, Im doing a concert with my guitar teacher, his band, and all his other students on May 23, 2010. Im gonna be playin three songs and I was wondering if you wanted to come wand watch me play. It's gonna be at Bogarts Nightclub in Apple Valley, MN. I know your probably busy but it would mean a lot if one of my idols could come and watch me play. But if you cant come, its ok.

Happy Mother's Day, moms! Hope you all have a great day today. And Joe, thoughts of you this holiday...I hope you/your siblings are able to spend today thinking of the many wonderful memories of you all and your mom over the years.

Can anyone think of any good mom-related music for a song of the day? My Kinda Girl is a bit too specific for everyone, and other songs with obvious-looking titles (Pink Floyd's Mother, this is directed at you!) aren't appropriate for the holiday.

Anything?

...Austin...
