Yep, some people call college collage, apparently Sir Loin calls it collidge.
Indeed ole Moses spent three consecutive periods of forty days and forty nights camping up a mountain doing a lot of that praying stuff, but does that class as work?
The devil is in the detail. Bwahahaha. Time for another beer.

Cheese- Thanks for the kind thoughts for dad...
I was thinking much like you on the weather ..also I've got those grand-babies due in January....it would be hard to leave if due dates shift closer to the dates of those concerts.... I mean- I ADORE our JOE but grand-babies would come first....... I may have to kidnap another family member or friend to go with me if my husband can't get away.
We run our own business and we are really busy right now . I can usually put paperwork on hold but my husband works right along side the employee's & unfortunately when he leaves town equipment breaks down etc..... Any Way enough about that but I am so antsy I can't stand it ...............I am gonna figure out a way..one way or another.....
(funny you should say "grab the bull by the horns"...my husband happens to be a Taurus Lol ! )
EDIT- HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLUE BUFFALO...Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Hey oxley11
not really sure, i've only heard it live when I'm watching ESPN but a YT search found this small clip someone caught. the vid quality is total crap so you can't get the full affect but it's def a cover of HFOB as the poster says. Prolly Joe's management licensed it out. I've heard him on SC other times too, diff being usually it's the original recordings, not knockoffs...
As for LYA, its just my op. Depends what you look to his music for. Its still very melodic, just different than what I expected from the title. I was lookin for something to move more like Speed of Light so i 'm just surprised is all.
the builup on the God is Crying sample sounds promising. If he starts to take off from that point like say Up in the Sky than I'll be on board for sure.

Joe Satriani amPlug headphone amp!
sweet!
I've thought of picking one of the other versions up before, but NOW is the time. (So as long as Joe doesn't end up endorsing itch cream or something of that nature, right?)
...seriously though, sounds good and will be cool to have around
Deluxe Edition BSAWW will be our backup copy :) Glad we finally have a Best Buy

Blue Moon - I think he's talk about a bunch of colleges grouped together on one campus!! lol.
I just watched that video of Joe and the new little Vox toy. Is that sound really coming out of that little plug in?? I am impressed!! The Guitar Center here just got all but the Metal one in stock. Think I'll be swinging in and picking up the Lead Guitar one first!

Hi everyone, I was asked to skip a couple days worth of posts, so I'm on the honors system and went forward to today. Especially since I got the Newsletter from the Joe camp.
Thank all of you for the birthday wishes. It's been a pretty cool day, surprise lunch at work, my daughters made me a cake, a Cowboys poster, and your all going to be jealous of this one.
My oldest daughter made me a bumper sticker for my Jeep.
And it says. are you ready now. SATCHOHOLIC
Damn F'n Right. the first O is in the shape of an Alien. I am styling and profilin proud tomorrow.

Peace Lily- Congrats!! I'm jealous.. I really wish I could make it over there, but that is way too far to drive right after going to see CF next week. I'll be curious to hear if they play the new album all the way through or if it will be more like an "Evening with Joe" kinda deal. Either way it will be a blast! I believe Tracie said it was only an 800-ish seat gig, so it will definitely be an intimate show. Maybe the band will make it extra special since there will be so few people and it is the first show- not to mention the day after the album comes out. Great show for your first!

So how many T2Jers do we have for the Napa gig so far? There's me, Tracie, Chris, and then Peace Lily and her husband. Have I missed anyone? roo? Pip55? Blue_Moon? ;-)
I don't know how fast the show will sell out, so maybe we shouldn't be picky with seats, but do we want to try to have one person buy five/however many tickets so we can all sit together?
BobCliffe - Thanks for the updated link. The mix/levels are rough, but I like the song, especially the rhythm riff. Thanks for sharing... :-)
Crystal Jammer / oxley11 - Ah, that song is coming up on SportsCenter again? That's been around for the better part of a decade, I think. As I remember it, the story is ESPN was using Joe's HFOB without paying for (licensing) it...then they switched to a different song done by a session guitarist. It's very similar, but isn't a straight cover (you can tell it's different if the highlights run long enough).
turbo236 - Glad you had a great time at the DMB show! Click here for another setlist, if you need help remembering any other songs/finding out where they came from.
Two songs you probably didn't know are Sweet Up And Down and the little bit of #40...two songs that I've yet to hear DMB play in my 25 shows (argh!).
DMB lets fans tape their shows, so if you're interested in a copy of your show look for a bootleg on live music torrent sites after a few days. If you can't find it, let me know...I have my ways. ;-)
I took some pretty good pictures from the three shows I went to, but I still need to go through them.
Phydeaux_3 - Joe had three "original" chrome guitars (I don't know if he's added any anniversary models/replicas to his collection in recent years). One of the originals went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at one point, but maybe Joe has it again now. The other two are Chrome Boy and Pearly, both of which can be seen on LISF. Pearly was stolen in Florida on the 2001 G3 tour. As far as I know, it's still missing.
michelle - I have a feeling the satriani.com preorders are for the standard (non-Best Buy) version of the CD...the links here take you to a Sony online store.
Oh, and that's a very cool U2 cover...thanks for sharing. I prefer this sing-along version, though. ;-) Man, that sounded SO cool in person last year...
bluebuffalo - Any chance you can share a picture of the bumper sticker? I'd love to see it!
turbo236 - It'd be cool to hear the whole album at the Napa gig, but I expect it'll be a standard show...a hint of what to expect on the upcoming tour (minus the addition/subtraction/substitution of a song or two that usually happens between tour legs).
I wonder if there will be a webcast or other contests tied into the gig, because it's being described as a "fan appreciation" show instead of an "album release" show like in the past.
