Hello T2J *waves*
apologies to my fellow Satchoholics for neglecting to post here :( i hope everyone is doing ok ^_^
Satch was in one of my dreams the other night... he was at a guitar shop talking to a bunch of kids and he didn't even talk to me :_( NOOOOOoooooo
he had a new JS that he was promoting... 3 colours to choose from and the pattern was small circles but had a 'blown glass' look to it, one of the colours was light blue. made the guitar that Joe gave to Jimmy Fallon look like shite and we all know how awesome that one is O_o

Joe Satriani - my fav. fruit wine place has stopped making cherry port The Fruit Bats of Balingup < get em while you can... oh wait, they don't seem to post overseas... you'll have to Tour Oz again and i can bring some to your next Freo/Perth gig >=;)
Zinc Master - does this mean i shouldn't wear my $30 K-mart joggers on the treadmill?? O_o there's not much too them, just enough to protect my feet... hmmm
Get a loaf Wow. I haven't logged in to this forum in probably 6-7 years, and I see the same people posting. I'm not sure whether to be humbled by your loyalty to Joe Satriani, or to be dumbfounded by your inabilities to expand and immerse yourselves in other artists and genres, the same way you can with Joe..........
.....I was a die-hard fan just like you guys. But something happened to the image of Joe I held so highly--he's sullied it by boring, repetitive releases, in the name of "staying busy" as an instrumental guitarist. A true artist must create increasingly wondrous works as they age, not decline.

no flames from me Loaf, but i don't get the bit i put in bold. you're assuming T2Jers listen to nothing but Satch :/ i find that most Satchoholics listen to alot of other guitarists, bands etc. because of Joe my ears found Paul Gilbert, his Rhino record is the best guitar instrumental album in the last 10yrs.
Crystal Planet is my fav. Satch cd and imo Joe hasn't done "better" then that cd... but ITLIS is a great albu and it's only a few years old. so Satch still has alot to offer our ears ^_^

Just thought i'd share that i'm having a very mellow time drinking a nice chilled white wine with Joe Bonamassa live at the RAH. 48" TV and Bose system doing a very fine job. Ah, happy times. Happy times indeed. Wifey, you can stay out with your chums as long as you like.

@elpp i gave iron man a good look
a little while ago to find out where Tom morello is, I found him and he's only in the movie for like 2 seconds, he's the first terrorist to get killed when Tony stark turns on the first iron man in the cave, his face is only shown for less than a second so you'll have to put it in slo-mo to
see him

Going to prom tonight, I'm gonna see if I can get my girlfriend into some satch music, she's a stubborn girl though, still haven't gotten her to become a Denver broncos fan either...

I went to the Grilled Cheese Invitational this afternoon with some friends...tons of fun!
I had a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and onions for lunch, with a bunch of other samples throughout the day. Some of the fancier samples had things apples and chocolate and strawberries and whipped cream...delicious!
I hope everyone enjoys the Chickenfoot webcast...I'll be out celebrating a friend's birthday tonight and I won't get to see it. Someone better keep track of the setlist for me! ;-)

Also, Badd 11 and Badd4 are the same thing. The 4th degree of B is E, and so is the 11th, the only difference being that an 11th is an octave higher.
If you are learning "Always with ..."
the chord Joe plays is technically a Badd11, or Badd11no5 if you want to nitpick. I suppose the 5 (F#) is supplied by the melody, but that fits under the umbrella of implied harmony.

true, I add 4th on 4th string! Sundaymorning...... :-)
Would have to listen to the song to see which voicing Joe used (maybe someone's got the "official" songbook of that album)

I just looked at a tab of "If I could fly", and the tab I saw uses Badd11, not Badd4. If the E in the chord is not within the same octave as the root, then it is not a Badd4, it is a Badd11.
