Local Best Buy - Not Real Bright

Went to my local Best Buy yesterday evening - about 5:30 pm or so.

I went to purchase the new Chickenfoot DVD.

Looked in the DVD music section - not there.

Went to the New Releases area - not there.

Checked the CD area - found many Chickenfoot CDs - but no new concert DVD.

Finally found someone to help. He tried to sell me the special CD/DVD that came out late last year - I pointed out, wrong name and that was released in 2009.

He checked the computer again - ahh - they have 5 DVDs and 3 Blue Ray DVD's in stock.

He went in back to see if they were STILL THERE - WHAT?

About 5 minutes later he returned, with them in their hands.

He did look ashamed - he said "We are the exclusive provider and we cannot even get them on the shelves."

Nevertheless, I purchased my DVD and left the store.

Maybe tonight I will be able to watch some of the concert.

LESSON

If you cannot find the DVD at Best Buy - ASK - they probably still have them in back.

Zinc, I had to ask. I thought it would be in a cool display like the cd was, but it wasn't. I had NO time to waste looking for it either. When I left work, I turned around to look back and there was a nasty, nasty dark cloud that took up the entire sky coming at me! The wind was kicking hard too. I raced to Best Buy which was towards the storm, and just as I got out of my car it started to rain a little. I thought we were going to have a feckin tornado or something cause it was scary. I figgered WTF, if I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go with Godsmack in one hand, and Chickenfoot in the other!! lol! Found Godsmack under the G's - not NEW releases, and I didn't know where the hell they moved the DVD section. I grabbed some dude who was vacuuming and he took me to the music DVD section and we found it. I paid for it and ran back out to my car. The whole was home I was hoping a tree wouldn't fall on my car. lol! Thankfully, I was driving away from the storm, and it never came to visit my house. Yay! I was even afraid to linger in the BB parking lot to open the Godsmack cd. lol! I finally opened it and put in in at a long red light a few blocks away.

My weather was nice - unlike yours.

I saw the new Godsmack - in the new section and regular section.

I may get it from iTunes - haven't decided yet.

But geeze Best Buy - get on the ball.

You would think a nice display - end cap would be nice.

To anybody who can help,

I have slowly built up a collection of stomp boxes and pedals and tweaked my guitar tone untill it is sounding very similar to Joe's own tone. Currently I'm running a JS1200 through a Zakk wylde crybaby into a satchurator followed by a boss dd-6 (400ms) this then goes into a POD X3-pro (line 6) which adds more delay (650ms) and a bit of chourus, finally it goes into a fender twin reverb which adds a bit of reverb. My problem is I want to get rid of the pod but when I take it out of the line my tone changes dramatically, the treble shoots up and so does the volume. Can anybody help?

I don't even care, it's funny.

Michelle- Thanks for sharing a few highlights of the new 'Foot dvd mine is somewhere between Arizona & Oregon But it is on its way and I am anxious to watch it. It is supposed to get here on the 10TH which seems longer than you'd think...

hello everyone... how are ya all?!?!

well for me.....

I had some surgery done... I was having some severe pelvic pain going on that just completly disupts my life, had a diagnostic laperoscopy... finally have a conclusion... its endometreosis and I had some holes forming... not fun at all... Now I owe the state of Idaho 20,000 dollars for the surgery and 3 hospital visits...

That explains the loosing of my baby a few months back. But I can have kids but only right now... If i wait a few years I wont be able to..

My mother is doing ok right now as far as a i know... she has to lay upright if she lays flat ever she will die. Not sure how her heart is doing.

Other than my surgery im doing ok... trying to find some work and keeping up on the Joe stuff of course.... Also got into some modeling... only been a week so far but its going good I guess.

I miss everyone here!!! hope everyone is doing ok and of course

SO EXCITED FOR A NEW CD!!!!!

Zinc - lol. I had a similar experience last night. I stopped in after work to pick up the blue ray version. I found just 1 DVD on the shelf so I found someone to help me out. I watched this kid fumble through the computer with utter amazement. He was almost clueless. So he finally finds the section and says they have 1 copy. I KNOW!! I'M HOLDING IT IN MY HANDS!! I politely asked him to check on the blue ray copy. He looks back into the computer, but he's only looking at the availability of the regular DVD. So he tells me that they didn't release it in blue ray. So, I had him go back onto his main screen and I pointed to the blue ray version DIRECTLY under the regular DVD version. After all that frustration, I find out that they didn't have any anyways.

Looking at Best Buy's website this morning, it shows that the blue ray is back ordered already. Bummer. =(

just so everyone knows, the new dvd is NOT, a best buy exclusive. like others here, we went to get ours last night only to find out that NO stores in our area had or were getting any! wtf is that!! so we called around and a local store called newbury comics has it for 9.99!! blu ray is 19.99. so if they have it others must as well.
