Steve Miller

EDIT - Blue Buffalo hope ya don't mind just wanted to see if I could link it for you, when I first tried to link on T2J Scuba explained it & I guess I got hooked on posting. Have a good one!

* I was reading the editorial review at Amazon..... interesting side note to this latest offering is that- quote "These recordings feature longtime Steve Miller Band member Norton Buffalo, who sadly passed away in 2009."

Hey Joe.

I saw you in New Zealand a few years ago (2005). I missed you last time you were here as I was overseas. When will you be coming again?? I hope we've not dropped off your radar!

Oh, and next time, can you give us a rendition of 'Why'. A classic piece that my three year old daughter loves (although she often asks to hear 'Echo by Joe Satriani please dada' which is her favourite).

Amazing music, and thanks for it all.

elpp, super duper congrats on the win!! How effin cool is that!! Are yer feet touching the ground yet? lol! Where ya gonna stand? Center, or right to watch JP? lol! Decisions, decisions. I'm gettin' giddy just thinking about it. lol! Have a blast - as I know you will! Deets afterwords!

Just came back from a trip to Best Buy with my son. When we got to the counter, they had both Chickenfoot cd's in a small display. I mentioned them to my son, and the lady says "They're only a penny." My chin hit the floor! Say what!! I asked WHY. She said she thought they might be old and they were trying to move them. I told her they only came out last year. Then she said she'd scan it and check. I was gonna buy ALL of them! They came up $9.99. phew! Then she called the invisible person in her ear and asked them if they were still one cent. A dude finally came over and said they were regular price, and they were there because of some sort of promo guitar give-a-way thing they had, and no one had put them back. There were about 4 cd's left after he took out all the CF cd's. He said THESE are one penny. No idea who the one band was, and the other was a comp. cd called something like "Brothas & Sistas..." something? lmao! I bought that one. LOL! I'll listen to it a time or two then give it away. Let's groove!

Railton, I've said it many time, Chris Cornell's voice is one of the best. Jesus Christ Pose

Anybody watch Deadliest Catch last night? Jake Harris - OMG - I actually wasn't surprised, but I'm so upset about it. lol! Kinda gutted really. I knew something was up, and now it all makes sense. Spoiler alert. After The Catch was all about the CM too. The guys from DC were also on Cash Cab, so it was a DC kinda night :-) I even had a nice dbl shot of Jager in my Phil Harris CM shot glass. lol!

LAS VEGAS – Michael Jackson memorabilia, including furniture, stage clothes and handwritten lyrics, are up for sale as part of a celebrity auction planned in Las Vegas this month.

Julien's Auction also plans to auction guitars played onstage by Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley at the four-day auction at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

The June 24-27 auction includes a Mercedes car owned by Anna Nicole Smith, as well as dozens of personal items from Cher, Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and others.

The auction will also feature items from "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry's estate.

Guitars played onstage by Hendrix!!!! how sweet is that!!

Just got the Joe Satriani '95 album today. It's in better condition than I thought it would be. The guy bought in '97 and has played only once or twice. (God knows why). There is no scratches on the CD or the actual case itself. It's almost like it's gleaming. I also like the feel of the entire album. I mean, I knew it was a mellow, bluesy album, but WOW! I like the transitions such as the quiet, depressing Down, Down, Down right to the powerful Luminous Flesh Giants.

I think I'm going to become accustomed to the pure blues sound of this album.

oxley, dude, now you need to score the vhs REEL SATRIANI or just watch it HERE. It's a damn shame I just found this now - at bedtime. lol! I wanna watch it! Haven't seen it for a while.

When I hear LFG it takes me back to when I was painting my daughter's bedroom at our last house a few years back. I had the bedroom door closed, windows open, and her stereo blasting the self titled cd sooo friggin loud. I was rollin' paint with one hand and drumming on the wall with the other. lol! It was pure zen. Hubs eventually came up to see wtf was going on. lmao! I was in such a zone he just laughed and closed the door and let me be. lol! Ya don't mess with me & my Joe :-) LOL!

T, cooking? lol! Is this where we sing the Sesame Street "opposites" song? lmao!

Hey Mister Satch! I donno if you have heard of this guitar player, but his name is Guthrie Govan, and he is freakin amazing! So much so, that I strongly suggest contacting him to see if he would like to go on one of the next G3 tours in the future. I guarantee he would rock the house every night you played. Thanks!

That Guitar World set of vids is fantastic! Thanks Peace for sharing the link. Joe is so in his element talking about Jimi and Jimi's playing, and all the tinkling he does to expalinwhat he's talking about is fab. Can't understand some of the technical talk but it's mesmerising to watch. I wonder if Jon webby shot that or a GW person? It's clearly in Sammy's studio.

If anyone knows this one...Feel free to answer.

I noticed that Joe had a clear sticker of some kind on his chrome Ibanez JS. I'm guessing it acts as a pickguard. I have an Ibanez arch top, and I wanted to get a similar pickguard. I wanted the self adhesive to not mess up my clear coat.

Any idea who makes that clear self-stick pickguard?

Thanks. =)
