Mowlie - IMHO everyone who buys a club Joe (or a club "any artiste you like") package is robbed. I do appreciate though that they have to be pitched at a certain level or everyone would want them and that just aint practical. Personally I reckon the money to be made from the club packages should be absorbed into the admission price and then club Joe winners picked randomly from the ticket numbers and advised of their win before the event. However, the way of the world is that the rich get what they want and the poor get screwed.

Hmmmmm i don't wanna come across as rude or anything but speaking from experience in previously purchasing Club Joe back in 2006 i purchased 2 Meet and Greets for G3 one for Petrucci the first night and for Joe the 2nd night had Joe not been sold out for the first night i would have met Joe twice well those tickets were $250 US converted to Aussie dollars cost me $340 each total $680 for 2 nights now here's my point i am by no means rich i am actually save the pennies type of person to get what i want well where to get nearly 700 dollars when u dont have it sell the xbox and all the games etc i saved mths to buy then purchase meet and greet tickets and as time permitted replace the xbox etc down the track G3 was in town for 1 weekend xbox can be replaced anytime.

Also i didnt get special seating for my tickets i was row 11 first night and like row 6 the 2nd so didnt even get into the alotted first 5 rows for so called rich people i sat looking at the backs of people who paid a 1/3 the money i did also didnt get the promised packet of plectrums from either Petrucci or Satriani and to top all that off the crew were running late first night so didn't get in to see all petrucci's gear etc

Now in saying this there was no limited signed and numbered poster there was no guitar strap etc So providing u get all the stuff mentioned i think the price is still pretty fair.

Sorry for the Rant peeps but not everyone who purchases Club Joe is Rich etc

I totally agree it's alot of money considering the same weekend i got to go to a instore Signing at Allan's music where got to meet all 3 Satch,Vai and Petrucci for FREE and was honestly just as close and personal as the Meet and Greet.

And when look at the big picture of it all sold close to $1000 worth of Xbox 360 gear for $400 barely enough to cover 1 of the tickets so all in all the $600 loss on my gaming stuff plus the outlay of $680 for the 2 nights could say really cost me $1280 so if anyone knows it's not cheap i do.

Was a shitload more than a weeks wages any regrets yeah the fact Fanfire burnt me :( would i do it again yes Why? Memories are generally something you can't buy Go see and meet Joe and u find that changes just lifts you to a place u only wish u could live forever. So yeah $680 bucks would have liked to sit closer to the stage and would have loved the plectrums and a signed poster and guitar strap but the memories and smiles will live on forever if i died the Monday morning after those shows i would have been quite content. If i die 2morrow be even more content lol after meeting Joe and Petrucci yet again since then.
I just think it's great of Joe to take the time out for the fans and answering our silly questions for like the 1000th time over etc And just smiles away without any worries in the world.
Also the old just buying a ticket for $80 and lining up allday and night doing a stalk-a-thon doesn't hurt makes for a big weekend but the sleep ya lost ya catch up on the following days :) :) :)

Dream3 - I didn't say that all who bought club Joe tix were rich, some peeps scrimp, save and borrow to get them, they IMO are the poor guys getting screwed.

Slan - Indeed!

as dream was saying, you can not put a price on a memory. the cash for the meet and greet i did was WELL WORTH IT. i know that there are not a lot of signed js1200's out there and i have 1. mmm, worth it again. soon as june 19th rolls around, i will have a signed jem7v too. again what is a memory worth to you? i am fortunate to have some liquidity in some hard times.

Cappy i hear ya but unfortunately i thought i had seen it all until PSATMOR 08 tour the guy who won the b4 show meet and greet ummmmmmm didnt even go to the show get that how u ask simple on this crazy site there is no need for fans to show proof of purchase of tickets to enter the Joe giveaway well anyone would think if u entered the comp u would fork out the $80 for the show well not this guy in Oz he was standing there i started talking to him i said usual chit chat rock on hey F@#*ing Joe's in town he looked at me funny i said u coming to both shows he said nah his mate told him about the aftershow giveaway so he signed up was coming to meet Joe and go home cause he won.

So i took my frozen arse and sat back down where it had been on its lonesome self since 9am turned to my mate and his wife who arrived at like 5 pm cause had to work at top of my voice can u f$#*ing believe some guy entered and won backstage pass and isnt even going to the show i was major pissed off.

My kids college graduations will be a great memory. lol!

Seriously, I have so many amazing memories of Joe and the G3's. Joe is the best, so I can see why peeps would spend so much. It really stinks that fanfire or whoever is in charge doesn't make sure everyone gets what they pay for though.

Bottom line is we all love Joe. That's what's important.

I'm listening to Bob Marley. It's a dark rainy day outside. I wanna lay on the floor under a lamp and close my eyes and pretend I'm on the beach with the sun shining on meh. Yeah, it's that kind of a day. lol!

I have deleted my -Joe Satriani in Amsterdam- photo page which was listed in the Fan Sites. I have no need to further show admiration for a man who shamelessly charges US $250 to shake his hand in Club Joe for the rich. I could not shake hands without questioning the sincerity of someone's smile after charging money. In fact: on average prostitution is much cheaper and includes your ticket to "the show".

It's not about showing Joe anything, it's just about being disgusted (and artist credibility.)

Mikesb, Bet he's gonna try and tell us good things come in small packages too. lol! I think small things come in small packages, but that's just me. lol! Hopefully things are going just swell now.

Joe Satriani is one of the most decent guys out there, and as an artist it really doesn't get much better than him. If yer gonna argue artist credibility, yer barking up the wrong tree.
