Thank's Blue_Moon! I might go with the humbuckers you mentioned! Maybe I'll get a noiseless single coil though because I usually play at low volume and noiseless pickups are very useful in that situation!

So:

Neck: Paf-Joe

Middle: ? Noiseless single coil Dimarzio

Bridge: Mo-Joe or Fred... not sure yet!

Hi scubadaz!

I know that a good amp makes a big difference but since I changed the pickups of my MIM Strat and Tele, I became fond of aftermarket pickups. It made such an improvement!!

I have a little Micro-Cube that is fine to use outside. I also have a Laney Cub 10 which is a 10 Watts tube amp with a 10'' speaker. It has good cleans and loves pedals. I think it sounds better than a Pro Jr or a Blues Jr.

I upgraded the speaker in the Cub 10 and I have a couple of good pedals to use with it (EHX Holy Grail, Nano, TC Nova Repeater, EHX Black Finger, EHX English Muff'n, Radial Tonebone Trimode, Keeley Fuzz Head, Dunlop Dimebag Crybaby, Boss ME25 and some Cool Cat pedals...) I don't lack gears, I just lack talent! ;-) ... And time to play too!

My setup is thought to sound good at bedroom volume. It does the job well with Fender guitars for vintage sounds... I hope I can get my Ibanez to sound as good but for more modern sounds!

I know that tone is in the fingers for a big part... but I like having good gears, this way, if it doesn't sound good, I can just blame myself and not the equipment... It's like listening to music with 200$ headphones instead of 5$ headphones: the quality is there and it increases the pleasure!

Cheers!!

chocolati when your ready for new pickups ,, do a bit of looking at some of your favorite guitar players used , you might be surprised, every thing affects tone. from strings, picks, cables , amps , tubes , speakers , even the pots in the guitar and caps ..sometimes changing a pot helps tame the high end .. Vai does this on his jems tames the evo's with a 250k pot ..they are less bright and squacky .. most of all have fun playing .. :)

To everyone,

I'm just wandering what all your guys favourite satch albums are. Mine is "Joe Satriani". Also what songs do you think he should do on his tour? I think he has to do "come on baby" and "revelation". Is there a backing track for come on baby?
