I don't know enough to have an educated opinion on the subject. I tend to follow what my heart tells me, which is not always the best course of action. :-)

I can't believe people are boycotting Arizona because of this law, especially musicians. I don't think it's right for them to refuse service to an entire state of legal citizens because of something their government is trying to do to keep illegals out of it. I don't agree with the boycotts against the Arizona Government, but at least they make some kind of sense because it takes revenue away from the state. This is just taking entertainment away from the general public for something they really have no control over, and is less money in the artist's pockets. It's really THEIR loss (Soundstrike artists) -All 20 of them.

I was going to get up bright and early tomorrow morning and get my ticket for Chickenhoe again this year, but I think I'll just go ahead and sit this one out. Not like my $59.50 will make a difference to CF, but not making that trip will save me a bucket of money.

turbo236 - Driving a little slower on the way to the show would save you a bit of money too. ;-) I'm still bummed that you got that speeding ticket last year...argh.

I still haven't decided whether I'll go to the show...it won't sell out immediately, so I have some time to think about it. We'll see...

It was great meeting up with you at the show last year; hopefully we'll have another chance to do that somewhere else in the future.

Listening to: Lacuna Coil - Shallow Life (current song: Wide Awake)

I absolutely LOVE the vocal melody in this song. YouTube link:

Morning Austin, did you have a nice birthday?

Since you are the oracle of all thing Joe stats-wise, can you tell me if he has ever played shows during the period 26 Dec to around 16 January? I have checked the Road archives and can't see any past tours during this time.

Thanks in advance, oh and you got another mail.

Austin: Ha!! I haven't forgotten about that, and neither has my insurance company. I was kind of on the fence about going to Tahoe anyway (mostly because I didn't figure they'd be playing anything new), and I guess the whole sound strike thing aggravated me enough to opt out. It's odd, really; I'm usually so far removed from anything political it is pathetic, but for some reason everyone's reaction to this is kind of bugging me.

Anyway, I fully intend on seeing Joe sometime this winter (assuming he's somewhere reasonably close to Idaho). Hopefully the Arizona thing will be taken care of by then, or more likely something worse will be the center of attention.. It would be nice if some of us could catch up again later this year. I'm sure Joe will hit up the Silver Legacy, but I would like to see him somewhere else. I am planning on heading to Ohio sometime in the late fall/early winter to visit family and would totally be up for some Joe on the east side while I am over that way too.. Maybe I'll have a job and some extra spending money by then as well, it would be nice to see a couple shows..

Tracie--When it comes to gettin' gray hair that makes two of us (or more). I do worry about a young man that could be the son of a brother or sister or could have been my own son.

Alan Mc---I can't understand why Bangkok would be on yer travel plans, being that it's such an explosive mess with peoples fighting each other. Then, again, I'm part of the older generation that gets worried about the next generation and their travels through life.

Anyways, I've been listening to Joe's music every free moment I can spare and Enya and John Rutter's Requiem, The Cambridge Singers with the City of London Sinfonia, conducted by the composer..........very soothing after seeing pictures of wounded and dead peoples and alll the (yikes) images Al sent on here from Bangkok in hell! Thanks, Al McKenna, I needed all that. ;-/

Campbell--I would rather laugh at shite jokes that sit in a corner crying my eyes out over the madness happening around the world these days.

GuitarVibes--Every time you get riled up about something on here or wherever. I just want to hug you! It doesn't matter that I have a different view..........It's the human connection that matters.

Peace (I almost said "Peach") Lily--I do love fruit and flowers! Anyway, I saw the Guitar Player article, "10 Things You Gotta Do to Play Like Joe...... The writer shares such an affection for Joe as to say what I've been thinking about doting on his early music (and even in recent months/years).

Joe--I love you and know you will be playing at smaller local and other smaller venues across the US/North America and around the world where it may be easier for modest fans like me to meet you as happened at the end of January. It's all up to you unless a promoter has things tightly scheduled. It's beautiful that fans like to get their pictures taken with you. I decided just to have a nice chat and skip the photos even though my Steve had his camera and could have taken some. Instead, he took photos inside the venue and one perfect picture of you smiling while playing yer guitar........that makes seeing and listening to you all the more memorable.

Ibanezplyr--I hope you are feeling better and getting stronger.

SkippyGirl--Hiya and hope your guitar practices are going well.

YAY ALAN *waves* n stay outta trouble young man! At least nuthin serious, lol!

Whelp. I just purchased two tickets to the Chickenfoot show in Tahoe...I swore I wouldn't go back there for a show if there were other alternatives...but this is a one-timer sorta thing, so will hafta put up with the idiots in the crowd and hope for the best. We'll be in line allllllll day just so we can be 4 rows back and get stomped on, pushed and shoved by "party-ers" and have their drunken breff blown at our faces. Sigh. But it's my choice to go, I know that, and we're willing to "suffer" fer Joe, lol! But yeah.

Was gonna consider the sound check tickets, didn't need to do the meet n greets thing cuz I figgered that was waaaay outta what I'd want to pay, but was hoping the sound check prices were do-able. Regular GA tix were just under $60 before fees....so I was thinking sound checks and early entry package might be around $150ish...so was weighing that as a possibility cuz then we wouldn't have to stand outside so long and could be closer to the stage, away from the constant pushing and shoving of eegits....

But the sound check tix are just over $300....EACH. I prioritize things and I'm not saying Joe isn't worth it but....that just felt wrong, to have the price so much higher from a regular ticket just to get in early. So...we'll take our chances...although last year I ended up bruised in many places and limping from the drunks throwing themselves around. I need a force field.

And I need a chair....we'll be in line from about 11:00 onwards as Tahoe has some serious Sammy fans there.

Any other t2jers gonna go so we can share the wait together? And maybe form an interlocking "line of steel" during the show, LOL!!

Well, I fully support anyone who has a view one way or the other. That's a small part of the United States that we still have left.

My personal view on this subject is I fully support Arizona and it's LEGAL citizens.

It was funny to see the President of Mexico talking about solid immigration reform that supports our core values. Well, the core values that used to exist in this county was that you came here legally, and if you didn't, your ass was going home. Didn't matter if you birthed 10 children here and sucked up jobs and obtained free medical care at the expense of the rest of us.......I could probably write about 50 thousand words supporting my feelings on this matter.

If you commit murder in this country and someone gives a description of the person they "think" they saw, the law pulls 10 or so people in for a lineup. Now 9 of the 10 or all 10 are innocent of the charges. Well, it's profiling none the less. Why anyone at all in this country takes issue with profiling is beyond me. It happens everyday and it's been happening since the creation of law enforcement. If Mexican's are coming over the border illegally the law enforcement is probably not going to go looking for a red headed pale skinned freckled guy. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

If Mexican's who are here legally feel that their rights are being violated then put pressure on the Mexican government to tighten up their borders.

It's truly a shame that it's come to this. There are thousands of Mexicans who came to this country the right way and they and every other American citizen has been paying the price for those who decided they don't need to be here legally.

sitting around the oval office singing kumbaya with our thumbs up our asses has gotten us to this point. It's about time this country put it's foot down and get back to basics. Corporations preach it every day, why can't the government follow suit?

Hello people, I'm from Morocco and I'm new here. There was always some questions I think about each time I listen to Moroccan Sunset from the album Joe Satriani: -How come he chose to write a song concerning my country? -Had Satch ever been to Morocco? If so, I really want to know if it's possible that Satch could perform in Morocco some day cause he has a huge number of fans especially at Casablanca!!!
