Just a message for Joe. I was in this section a while back, complaining about the latest DVD, and the graphics it contained. After watching it almost to destruction, I think it is only fair to come back and say, I WAS WRONG. The editing does enhance the veiwing once you have got over the initial change from the usual live dvd offerings. The bottom line is though, that the quality of the music hammers through, and for any serious fan, that is what we really buy the dvd for. Anyway, just bought tickets for Manchester Apollo again, as my other son wants to go along to see the master, as he was unable to go last time for Satchafunkilus. He has been bombarded by the music so much that he has got to love it, and has the tunes in his phone. Really looking forward to it. One small request! The mix on the bass side of the stage was a bit out last time, and it was a bit difficult to hear Joe's guitar above Stu's bass. Not complaining you understand, just pointing it out!!! Cheers.

I was not going to say anything 'cause I love Joe & Chad & Mikey& Sammy BUT- Sammy needs to lay off the Cabo Wabo a lil and put a little more into his presentation. I thought he was sloppy at the end of the recent web-cast too. I love the 'Foot but that sloppiness makes me embarrassed for the other guys.............. I also think he should play rhythm guitar some too and quit trying to jump around as much like he could a few years back. any way......... enough honesty from me for one day.... :-)

EDIT_That being said ....I still love GYBO & would buy it again in a heart-beat........

Al - you'll be absolutely fine. Just head straight to the islands. A shame, cos Bangkok is a great city to visit.

Might get to see it on the way back in a few weeks time, but its only one of the many cities we're heading too, so its ok

Fly over with 1 stop in Abu Dhabi in the UAE... a total of 14 hours... wait 5 hours in bangkok > get an hour plane > get a 7 hour ferry > make it all in one piece to Koh Samui!

easy peasy right... we miss the fast ferry by like 30 mins! takes 1.5 hours intead... but oh well, will be a looooooooooooong 1.5 days but worth it

I do indeed... i just booked my flight down south there a few moments ago... I shall be dining with an "uncle chins, chicken rice combo" for the inflight meal... how funny is that!

But yes, got to ferry it up from S.T to Samui

lets hope the volcano doesnt go on a mad one in the up and coming days, really hope it all works out

Its been a while since i posted anything - like years even.

I was just reading up on what Joe is up to lately and it boggles the mind. Joe is the real deal. He loves music, plays with all types of talent, constantly creating new stuff, and never stops. I don't follow many musicians to know for a fact but Joe must surely stand out in this category. Most other people with his success just manage the money and make fan appearances once in a while. Not Joe. He just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny. Bigger than his stature of guitar GOD is his HUMANITY. His work ethic, genuine personality, his "love for the game" really shines, and I just have to say how admirable that distinction is to me. A real guitar hero for sure.

Please raise your glasses and join me with a drink for Joe...may he continue to shine with happiness.

Cheers

OK guitar peeps, who is gonna explain to the lay persons here exactly what is meant by "phrasing"?

Phrasing is spending the weekend watching a box set of old TV shows starring Kelsey Grammer......

but really it is note selection and sequencing

"Music. the grouping of the notes of a musical line into distinct phrases. "

HI Joe, I am a student in my lower-sixth year at Portadown college. And I'am playing one of your piece,(cryn') for my music practical. I want to know what your main objective where, when composing this piece? What was on your mind?Did you achieve your aims? And finally what did you want to convey to the listener? Thanks Matty
