Hello 4am....

Right, holiday snaps... the album is this link .... or try this way if you don't mind multiple clicks...

On June 1st I did this, this, this, then this

June 2nd went something like this, this , this, this, this, and this
June 4th ..... well... this, this, this, this, and this
The 5th started like this, then went like this, this, and we got this, view, but this, nearly disappeared! Was very windy too..... and did a bit more of this
June 6th opened with this, and this, then some more of this and more of this and ended with this, and this again
I think that covers it... did I miss anything? : )

Chelle - that is sad. Last week I was working at a school and a couple of kids found some 9/11 footage and were pointing it out to all their freinds... but didn't really understand. Difficult to explain

Skip - how did your team do in the end? We scraped through really....

further confirmation that I can't type for toffees

Cheese- Hoping the tests reveal the answers you want....sorry to hear of a problem with your son...hugs.

Michelle- Thanks for sharing the 9/11 update......very sad for those who were lost & their loved ones, maybe recovering remains will bring some comfort .........

Pip- Ahem....pretty sure there was some teasers posted here 'bout some other activity's of monumental awesomeness ...................

Another CHICKENFOOT concert...wonder what that venue is like ? Anybody know?

Pip - yes methinks a few snaps are missing.........but these are lovely thank you. If you took away the fog SF looks alot like Melbourne, same city buidlings, the trams, the bay, but of course we don't got those hills!!! I remember trudging up a few when I was there - phew! I stayed in the Tenderloin district, which area were you in - city centre by the look of it?

edit.....sorry just saw your other comment - sadly the Socceroos are not through to the round of 16, unlike England, (well done!) we played a ripper match and won 2-1 wtih Al cheering in Ireland, Axeshredder and Glitzy in the USA and me in Melbourne but it wasn't enough goals to get 2nd spot in the group so we landed 3rd in the group. Stuffing up the first match against Germany did us in with the goal difference.

It was chaos at 5:00am I tell you, tweeting Al and others, switching to the Germany-Ghana game and switching to Wimbledon with that incredible 5-setter, I'm exhausted!

Cheese - birthday hugs for your Mum, we got Mr Skippy's Mum's 72nd birthday party at our house this weekend, she is just gorgeous.

I'll cross fingers and anything else for Chris's tests.

You goin to the Palm Springs Foot show?

I'm sure that's all the pics isn't it? S...t...r...e....t...c....h.....

I suppose I can check for more when home later

Cheese - vibes to you & Chrispy

Peace Lilly - teasers? You must have been mega observant as I missed it ;-b lol To what teaser is one referring?

Skip - the harbour reminded me a lot of Freemantle, and the trams obv Melbourne. Tenderloin huh... nice! Is listed as just off Union square but is probably smack in the middle between the square and tenderloin

Sounds like you had a busy morning (?). Your team was just unlucky and we were sorta lucky

@Peace Lily- That is very interesting. Music played by the sun. And notice how the professor says it's "strangely beautiful". And "strange beautiful" were the words expressed in Hendrix's song "Third Stone From The Sun".

Those two words also inspired other titles as we all know.

Peace, Skippy, Pip, thanks. Nothing more worrisome than the unknown, esp when it comes to your kid.

Skip, naaaaaah, that's way down beyond LA, we're not gonna make that show. But feel lucky to make the Tahoe show the next day :)

Grampy Cappy, congrats, it's only a matter of time before you meet the newest fambly member. Keepin my fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed that all goes well and yer cooin' away at the baby soon :)

Steve Miller says new album takes him back to music he grew up with

An excerpt from the interview

Lots of lead guitar and cool guitar parts have been worked out. It just got better and better and better as we worked on it," he said. Indeed, one of the guest artists on the album is renowned guitarist and 15-time Grammy nominee Joe Satriani, who trades solos with Miller on "Rock Me Baby" and Vaughan's "Sweet Soul Vibe."

"He just plays beautifully," said Miller about his fellow guitarist. "It blows your mind when you hear him. He is a monster guitarist -- a wonderful musician."

:-D

HEY EVERYBODY!!!

I found the funniest video on Youtube. It's a G3 Soundcheck with Joe, Steve, and John. Except somebody dubbed the voices and it is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!!! It's great for a laugh. I've already watched three times.

Oxley--Thanks for the funneh vid!

Hi girlfriend! I'm going nuts over the soccer/futbol/football! I'm enjoying watching the skill of the players.....it's amazing! And that pileup celebration by the u.s.a team! The guy who scored the goal said it was sort of uncomfortable! It was a wonder with all the diving, ribs weren't broken! But it was all in fun! We are gonna appreciate REAL football after all.....there is always hope for the states!

Guitarvibes--Are you feeling the football excitement in Holland? Is your country's team a strong one?

Does anyone know where Canada is placed in FIFA?

Does anyone else know about other vids of funneh moments with Joe and his fellow musicians? I can't wait to find out!

Cappy Steve- When you first see your new grandchild be prepared to have your heart swell up with so much love you can not contain yourself. People tell you this but until you experience it you really don't know. The child will have you wrapped around its little finger from the first moment ....and its awesome........ :-)

To pip55

I know the song is great.. (the original traveler)

I just wanted a little extra ZING.. a nice high level wailing sound..

I love the SG with demargio pickups because i can get such a cool wailing sound out of it on my peavey amp.

and the song with joe playing on the waw was great and such a melodic sound..
