hybes: There would be light, and also the speedometer would be there. Light is always traveling 300.000 km/s from your sight. No matter how fast you move!

Railton - Ahh. I was always under the impression that the speed of light was traveling at 186000 miles per second and that your eyes were not capable of seeing anything faster than that.
It's like human eyes and dogs eyes. I could be wrong, but I think the human's eye refresh rate is approximately 40 hz and a dog's refreshes at approximately 60 hz. that's why a dog's reaction time is faster. Now a dog might be able to see that speedometer, but I am not sure the human eye is capable of capturing motion faster than the speed of light. And besides, if you're actually traveling at the speed of light, wouldn't your be traveling in the dark? I wish I was still in high school, I'd fire one up and put on some Pink Floyd and really ponder this more carefully.
But again, I am quite the novice in this area. But I really like the conversation. Always like learning something new.

Peas Lily, that's one of my most favorite tunes! It's from the DVD Changes. I HIGHLY recommend it! I saw them do it live twice. The first time the stack was blocking my view of one of the kits, but the second time, I was at the 50 yard line on level one looking straight on at the both of them going effin ape shit. The stage was in the middle of the venue, not end stage. Swear to Bob I thought I died & went to heaven! I was so feckin happy and gave Godsmack so much energy that by the time Metallica came on I was so blown away I had to muster up more energy for them. lol! That was one of the top shows I've ever seen hands down! One of my fav bits is at 3:56/7 when Shannon reaches back for the cymbal. Amazing tune, and even better for drum lovers like me :-)
T, it was swamp ass all day, and they're calling for more of the same thru the weekend.
Night peeps!

;Railton - Well the first thing I would do with time travel is go back to when we started trying to figure it out in the first place and set them straight. Imagine how much more sleep people would get!! then probably swing by jimi Hendrix's for a jam. then head home before I ruptured the space time continuom!!!!
Good luck with the band.

Scubadaz - I'm not totally sure that's correct. It just seems like I read that somewhere a while back. The point of the article had something to do with why a dog's reaction time was so much faster than a humans. So 40 Hz and 60 Hz might be wrong....perhaps it was 60 and 80. I do know that 120 hz refresh rates on a tv is pretty much useless. Worse when you get to 240. While it's nice for sports, you really can't notice the difference. I guess I'll have to go find that article now.
But my question to all that was, if you were traveling at the speed of light, would your eyes be able to refresh fast enough to see anything or would you be in total dark?
