minimoog: Just put in my Live! DVD... waiting for a good shot of the crowd... Is it actually during Super Collosal?? I just watched that and didn't see anyone, but they could have done a crowd shot when I looked at the keyboard or something. Haha.. I'm bored today. Shame too.. really nice day, like Peace Lily said. It's just REALLY windy here

Ian

EDIT: Ahhhh ok I think I see who you're talking about. Well, there's no doubt in my mind anyway. I found her at the end of Just Like Lightnin' with her hands in the air, red bracelet on her right arm, beautiful smile, white and black top. In the shows that I've been to, those are always the girls that are like 'oh, do you mind if I squeeze up there to the front, I just want to get a picture and I'll come right back' or some kind of BS. But she doesn't present that problem on DVD, so I'll enjoy it.

Of course, I should mention that her type is easier to control at a concert than the typical drunken idiot who just bulldozes his way from the back to the front. Or the drunk guy who thinks he is really smart and walks up to everyone pretending they are best friends, trying to convince everyone that he has a spot up front but left it to go pee, and when everyone says no he ends up doing the bulldozer anyway.... Good times...

I have been a fan of your work from day one that his stuff could be bought. I have been a loyal fan, I own everything. I have turned on many many people to your music. But I am really upset that you came to Des Moines Iowa only one time and it was a bar show. We here in Des Moines would like to see you with out traveling 500 miles to do it. I don't think it's to much to ask. You have done shows many times in some places. But you have never been back to Des Moines what gives. I have spent a lot of money buying your music a live show would be nice. We have a place just for music in down town Des Moines called the civic center it only holds 2500 but it is built for sound. Please come to DSM we Satriani fans would LOVE to see you live. I would devote an entire week free of any chare promoting it.

HA!! yeah, so anyways...

GG2, yer girlfriend Al calls American football "catch" or "handball". Personally I'd much rather watch our football than futbol. Just what I was brought up on I guess, and nothing like padding up and knockin' the crap outta each other :-)

Anybody watching Bonaroo live on youtube? Crap band on now. Someone on the chat feed called then "ghey" lmao!

Hey everybody!

Glitz Man- I actually found a good topic to expand on using Joe's titles. But with absolutely everything in the world, the second usually isn't better than the first. But I'll do my best.

I'm going to order the Joe Satriani '95 album off of eBay tomorrow. So I was wondering.... Does anybody know what S.M.F stands for???

Sorry to be a nudge and make another post, but I JUST found a little bit of information that could reveal the name of a song on the upcoming album. Or maybe not....

Joe recording Professor Satchafunkilus

Not only is this a very comical video recording, but it reveals something. At the beginning of the video, the camera scrolls down the set list. And the fourth one is crossed out. hmmm......... What does it say? It says God Is Crying underneath the scribbling. Now is that a song that couldn't be put together the way Joe liked. Or did Joe just not want it to be on this album. SPECULATION!!!!!

I knew somebody was going to characterize the M.F. as that. lol But this ain't Call Of Duty so does anybody know for sure?

Michelle is right.I asked Joe what it stood for when I met him in 2008 and his exact words were "Sick Mother Fucker".He said they couldn't put that on the track list for the album for censorship reasons so they just called it S.M.F!!!

Hope that clears it up for you.Cheers!!

Great White - Joe can play the guitar like angels dancing on the strings, 'Lifestyle' is indeed a great song but IMHO Joe is not a very good singer at all. If we were to have vocals on his solo stuff I would much prefer him to use guest vocalists. But that's just me.

Hi Peeps,

Mr Bear - I'm sorry to read of your loss. My thoughts go out to you

MIchelle - I way prefer US Football... which is odd for a Brit I'm sure. Was given a fascinating book about Broadway Joe and always been a huge Marino fan. Even managed to go to a match and the Dolphins actually one lol

jdublu - that sounds like a great trip. Didn't you feel like you were invading someones privacy by dropping by their house?

Cappy - Joe said to me he had a very limited vocal range (chuckles). I still think it's cool when he sings though, brave thing to do if it's not your natural thing

Right, back to unpacking.... and associated other things... and don't even say it S... you're part of the list....

New video message from Joe on Facebook and the Satriani.com hompage filmed over week ago from Sammy's studio. Interesting that Joe mentions "gigs" for Chickenfoot in September ( as well as some studio time) so I wonder if there are more gigs to be announced in addition to the Tahoe one on Sept 11.

And references to the US shows after a short break after Europe so hopefully those shows will be announced soon to. And Chickenfoot Mark II around Jan/Feb which is I think earlier than other mentions of it.

There Axe, LOL!

And all my buddies at T2J please send all your positive vibes to the Socceroos who play Germany in 7 hrs - :-D. And Mark Webber in the Canadian Grand Prix and Lleyton Hewitt in the tennis against Federererererer.

edit....darn! webby beat me!!
