Hey Jamie - I'm going to Tigers vs Swans tomorrow at the G, hoping we can keep our roll going.

Just saw the NED v BRA replay, great match. Might try and stay up for the PAR v ESP match tonight since I have Spain in the office sweep.

It's just a feast really, what with Wimbledon and now Tour de France. I'm in the wrong timezone....

Any T2Jer's going to Daytona today to see Davy Knowles?

elpp...that sounds dignified, mine was "Skildo" LMAO!! and Pipster was "Pildo"!

Have you ever considered to include in your setlist some special request from the gig attendance ? A song could be chosen by internet poll among show registered attendants in your web.
If I was asked for november gigs in europe I would suggest SMF, Searching or Circles. Any of them would be great.

Webmaster Luni, happy birthday. I'm sure the one above it's not a very original idea. How many times have you read it before ?

And we spaniards have a chance in all of them, Wimbledon, Tour de France, F1, Motogp and Soccer World Cup.
Not forgetting Nadal has already won Roland Garros, and Gasol his second NBA ring with LA Lakers.

"Aussie rules", isn't that a contradiction in terms?

It's like a brawl where they kick a ball about a bit as well so they don't get arrested.

Iceman, Disturbed is one of my fav bands, as well as Godsmack. I bought the Dope cd with Die mofo Die on it, and sadly that's the only song I really dig.

Skippy, today is the best day of the year! Everyone from miles around come here for the last day of the week long carnival and amazing fireworks at 10 pm tonight. The entire community is made up of happy drunks by days end. Parties in almost every yard! Cars are parked in every space available, so if you don't get here by say, 8:00 pm, you're not getting a space anywhere unless yer parking oh so very illegal. lol! By 10 pm, every single back alley is unpassable because they turn into parking lots too. lol! Leaving after the fireworks...it takes over an hour to go one mile! lol! Ya just hope the a-hole that parked you in isn't at a party until 2 a.m.! lol! My peeps come and party it up, then some of us walk the 2 blocks to where the fireworks are set off. Me mum & pop sit on our deck and still have a good view over the houses. Last year my friend got popped in the noggin by a stray piece of shrapnel from the fireworks. Left a nice egg on her head too! First time in over 10 yrs going I've seen that happen. Her mum used to come and sit on the deck with my parents, and they'd have a nice time chatting. MA passed away in October, so this will be the first year without her. I'd have to make her coffee, and she'd always try to sneak the sweets, which she wasn't supposed to have. lol! God bless her, she'll be missed tonight. Got lots of cleaning to do yet, so off I go.

oxley, happy belated birthday!

Today is supposed to be 88F. Tomorrow the wave rolls in and it's a few days of 95ish with high humidity. *groan* The magic word they use is "oppressive!"

Hi Everyone.

One race done & out of the way. I ran the Firecracker 4-Miler in 24 minutes and 18 seconds. Don't know my placing overall, but I did come in 4th in my age division. Next race is next week, a 5K Run.

Oxley11: Happy Belated Birthday.

Dream3: Thanks for the encouragement/praise on my runs.

Ibanezguitars: Joan, I'm predicting that Rafael Nadal will win in sraight sets.

Joe, hope you are doing well.

Happy Canada Day, Happy Fourth of July, and any other holiday/event you all have coming up everyone.

It Might Get Loud is a DVD I have watched over and over again and every time I can't helped but be floored by the sheer musicianship of these three players, and,as I have mentioned in a previous post, the most powerful moment for me is when Jimmy page starts playing Whole Lotta love and the look of extreme awe on the faces of Edge and Jack White. They just know they are in the presence of something truly monumental and must have felt extremely privileged to have such a close up and personal with THAT riff played on THAT guitar through THAT amp by THAT legendary guitarist.

Anyone else out there have any special moments to share from this or any other music documentary?

Steve - It's settled down in todays day and age compared to how brutal the yrs gone by were umpires and the AFL commission have tried their best to stamp out all the nasty hits off the ball etc

But the one thing i can say about our game see the guy who broke his leg he tried getting up lol yet this World Cup i have seen guys get their boot laces stepped on and have stayed down rolling around on the ground for like 10 minutes :)

My team got Smashed last night by more than 80 points that sux :( :(

Glitz the more i keep seeing you running and keeping fit somehow makes me feel better about my lack of running so the more you do hopefully ur staying fit enough for the both of us :)

dream3 - just home from the match it was FABULOUS!!! Particularly as we went with a family of Swans supporters who brought their idiot cousin along who was one-eyed Swans and absolutely rabid - the yelling/screaming type who abuse the umpires.

When we got that goal with a few minutes to go it was hard not to look smug - great comeback by the young uns.

Ibanezguitars - you do indeed have a raft of excellent sportspeople at the moment - I just love Nadal, I've seen him play at the Australian Open many times, wish he would bring back the muscle shirt though :0). And I have Spain in the office sweep for the World Cup so I hope they can go on.

Michelle - sounds like great fun, guess it's a bit like our Australia Day festivities, enjoy the fireworks.

Al - WTF have you been up to this weekend????

We didn't play a nice game, but we made it to the semis. Germany scares, but the match has to be played before you win.
Rafa plays Wimbledon in less than 5 hours.

Gitz, you're a very optimistic Nadal supporter. I'm afraid it's gonna be a tough game

Js1200js1000: Hey there. I'm doing well. I had a run yesterday and it was good. I think I got my fastest time in that race. I have a busy work/running load for the next few weeks: Work during the week & runs/races on the weekends. I'm planning on trying to do Boston, Chicago, and New York City Marathons next year.

Dream3: You could say I'm running more all of us here.

the absolute best part of any show or dvc to me is when you see the band or player caught completely up in the moment and the spontainious button is ON. you know the look. when the song is changing from the the rehearsed to the "lets go this way tonight" is taking over for a fun ride. thats the best part for me.
