Liquidguitar: Thankx, but I still can't get it. It's a brain damage thing. Never made it past x's. Just an abnormal psycology traight. Good thinking though. I'm sure there are those out there who are much more qualified to figure it all out. Trying to survive a black hole is crazy, it would be better to invert matter than to try to survive that. I saw a commercial where a girl goes to a vending machine and it has H3O bottles in it.?????!!!!!! Is'nt that hard water! Radioactive water in a vending machine?????

OMG! Happy birthday, Steve Vai!!! Has it really been 50 years? Wow!

Peace Lily--Thank you for the lovely irises. Very pleasant to look at. And my Steve is doing ok today.

Joe---What has happened to my family of origin? My mom doesn't care if I'm alive or dead.....she told me recently and she forgets my name very easily. She took on a huge truckload of responsibility back when my older sis and I were teenagers......I was about to move into my boyfriend's bedroom! And my older sis stated very clearly that she didn't have a place in the family anymore because foster kids were moving in and turning the house upside down! Well, my dad JOE came to the rescue by having a talk with my mom something about taking the 3 of us girls and moving out so mom could have the foster kids (who were all important) to herself if that was what she wanted. Soon, things began to change, the mean and angry foster kids were given over to the social worker and went back to county social services within 2 weeks. Things started to settle down, but I don't think my older sis and I were ever the same.

Joe, the father to the rescue to keep the Fidler family together! Decades later....Joe Satriani, the brother/musician to the rescue of heart and soul and helping me put pieces of myself back together.......Thank you, Joe :-)

Now I'm wondering why my older sis, who is supposed to be one of my best friends has virtually shut everyone of importance out of her life........She is 58, unemployed due to a layoff last year and doesn't care if she gets another job.......talks to me very flippantly about maybe taking the train down to visit Steve and me OR maybe not depending on if WE could be in sync with her late hours of sleeping from 3 a.m to NOON or 1 p.m. Steve says she needs to be in sync with our hours 10 p.m. to 6ish/7ish for me and 9 p.m. to 5ish a.m. for him and I agree........Argghhh!!! My married younger sister has been saddled with the garganuan task of giving employees in her district layoff notices because her boss the Superintendant doesn't want to do it! Lazy feck!!! And one of my nephew's wrestling team mates was murdered on his street in Merced because another teenager had a handgun and felt he needed it to protect himself from drug dealers nearby! What the hell is going on........did I miss something somewhere? I want my family back! * Sits down and weeps! my Steve nearby to hold my hand*

edit cubed......everyone please pray for Australia against Germany in our opening round of the World Cup next Monday morning 4:30 am Melbourne time, (think that's about 12pm Sunday for those in the States) the joeys and I are setting our alarm to get up and cheer the Socceroos on, it's the quintessential David and Goliath I tell you....

Skippy: I wouldn't worry about Germany. As long as the other 2 matches are won, you're in the next round. Teams get too emotional about defeating the best team in their draw, which can lead to letdowns if they lose or overconfidence if they win, both of which affect them on the next games. Once they learn to control those emotions, teams generally perform well. My 2 cents :)

In 2009 I had what can only be described as the worst birthday ever, I moved out of my ex's house on my b-day (June 4th).

I was curious about how I was going to spend my 2010 b-day, would it be a time for sorrow and longing? or a turn-the-page kind of deal??

I am very happy to say that this year's birthday could not have been any better. Spent Thursday evening with my son, who woke me up with a cupcake in hand, singing happy b-day :) Friday was spent with my family eating the best pozole and pineapple cake you can imagine, drinking and having a great time, Saturday I had soccer and went to the metal bar and got loaded with my best buddy in the evening, and yesterday me and a very lovely friend I met recently shared a full day of shopping, eating and hanging out in my porch while enjoying the rain.

So there is indeed a silver lining to every black cloud. I'm in absolute bliss right now. Dream Theater in 9 days will be the icing to top all icings, specially if I score those "first to the barrier" spots that Iron Maiden makes available to their fan club.

Have a great Monday everyone!! CHEERS!!!

There was a small (3.5) earthquake near Santa Monica at 2:15 this morning. No damage or anything like that, though...just the usual California fun.

elpp - Glad to hear your birthday went well. :-)

I didn't join the IM fan club, but I do have pit tickets...will fan club members get to go in first at each show? If that's the case I might not bother getting there too early, if I won't have a shot at the very front.

I can't wait for this tour to start. I don't know how successful I'll be, but I'm going to try to avoid setlist spoilers before my show. I think DT's short set will be more fun that way...not that they ever disappoint me, of course. \m/

...Austin...

Austin: thanks dude! IM fan club members can sign up for early entry into the general admission pits. Supposedly they give out 120 early entries per concert IF the venue allows it (60 pairs), and for Albuquerque apparently they will, so I'm very confident about my odds :D Membership was very cheap ('bout 10 bucks), it may be worth a shot.

50 minutes is waaaaay too short for DT. 3 songs more or less? jajajaja! Good luck avoiding the spoilers, I plan on checking out the very first setlist to get a feel for how many songs they will do, and then just wait for my show.

I was not too excited about Maiden but the bands that played on Saturday night did about 6 Maiden songs, plus some videos, and now I'm totally psyched!!!

I toyed with the idea of making a post about judgemental people of under average intelligence knocking something because they either don't understand it or don't like it but decided not to, wouldn't want to appear judgemental.

Cappy - Nice. You should just let it rip anyway!! =) Being judgemental was written into the Bill of Rights, somewhere. If we can get the right judge on the Supreme Court we can probably get a ruling in our favor.....

Ahh, there have been a couple of funny posts today.

And Wofe busting out with some Dracula. Somebody was having a case of the Mondays....

In which direction did Glitzman run?

Peace Lily--My roses are blooming and they love the sun!

M. London--I love your Canadian man Patrick McKenna.....He's funny as Harold on The Red Green Show! It's amazing the show was on for 15 seasons....
