GG, yer boy is out getting drunk beyond belief, sleeping on islands & in boats, punching jellyfish, making Asian women giggle, watching hte wc, visiting all the favorite torture/death spots of the past that Vietnam and surrounding areas have to offer, and having the everlovin' time of his life! I'm just wondering what kind of sunburn his cracker ass has achieved. lmao!
Ahh yeah, he's livin' the dream :-)

Just when I thought I could not be more excited about watching Dream Theater this Wednesday, I have won "First to the Barrier" passes from the Iron Maiden fan club. Which means that unless someone runs me over, I will be front row for the whole show. HELL F@#%NG YEAH!!!!!!
So expect some nice pics from that show later this week. CHEERS!!!

elpp - Awesome! I can't wait to read your review. And BTW, I gave up on the whole spoiler-free thing. I looked at the sets for both bands so I know what I'm in for...it'll be a great show! \m/
cuthbert1776 - Welcome back. :-)
Listening to: Coverdale Page - Coverdale Page (current song: Whisper A Prayer For The Dying)
Does anyone else here have this album? A lot of LZ fans like to make fun of David Coverdale's vocals here, but I don't mind them at all. And this album features some of my favorite Jimmy Page guitar work (Take Me For A Little While, to name one song).

Hey Slan, with lil John Lee growing so quick it won't be too long til his first day at skool. That being the case he may need to translate the following into Spanish, 'It's no a funny family name ya fecking nippy faced wee bastage, ma da's a Scot!.

Cappy...scary how time passes skipper.its no illusion, at 5yrs a year is one 5th of your life it passes real slow, 60 being a 60th must feel like 30 mins
as for wee John, man.. talk about family feuds getting his name sorted, back home its your fathers surname, first name of choice and yer done... HERE.. ya got a feckin civil war t wage through, red tape included, its a tug of war between the spanish side o fam and catalan over which surname got chosen, was an absolute nightmare

Yes, I have the Coverdale Page album and personally I think this album opened up the opportunity for Coverdale to really let loose and try something different vocally....and it works a treat. I'd love to hear some more new stuff from these two.

Slan, I don't envy your battle over 'naming rights' but at the end of the day, it's a game of two halfs, it is what it is, and any other cliche you can think of, you've got the missus and the bairn and you're happy together. Everything else pales into insignificance really.

Long time no hear (read) from you.
My neck of the world is still Blackhawk country - many years ago I kinda followed them, then for me, they fell off the map. But they are back and so am I. I guess, I am a bandwagon jumper - but I am fine with that. But not so much of a fan that I purchased anything of the Hawks or their championship.
How is life?

I know this is probably a stretch, but does Joe ever give lessons or consultations any more? FWIW, I am an instructor and I have played since 1968.
Also, are there any scheduled shows in the DC/ northern Virginia area that include the Club Joe package ?
Thanks!

GW Jun 14, 2010 Joe Satriani Teaches You How To Play Like Jimi Hendrix
6 parts ....lotsa........ JOE!!!!
Edit-
Just finished watching all of this.....really enjoyed this, I even love the little bits of technical stuff...I don't even play but I enjoy hearing about it ....Is that weird or what?
Anyway ...Joe your enthusiasm for Jimmy remains undimmed by time, & your love for his music will never die. Thanks for sharing with your fans how he inspired you and gave you a passion for playing.

happy tuesday all! hope all is well for everyone.
elpp; congrats on your contest win!!
rialton; i think chris cornell is one of the best voices in music today. always thought his voice was better than the guy who was the lead singer of that band, who died, which is why chris took over.
btw thanx to whoever put up the latest link for the Joe interview. was it peace?
