Michelle- I saw your post about having to buy the extra CD just to have the two bonus tracks and was certain that I read this somewhere:

Best Buy will be releasing an exclusive Deluxe Edition of "Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards" that includes two bonus tracks: "Heartbeats"and "Longing".

In addition to being available in Best Buy stores, it will also be available online as a digital download through Napster. Fans who have already purchased their copy elsewhere will also be able to purchase just the bonus tracks for $1.29/ea.

Took me a while to remember where I read that, but it was in an old newsletter. I'll spend the extra money for the Deluxe Edition because I can't NOT have it, and I don't really like going the digital route. Anyway, just thought I'd pass it along in case you or anyone else would rather spend a couple bucks instead of 14-ish..

Finally got tracking info for my CD: it shipped today from NASHVILLE with a delivery date of October 7th.. Looks like I'll be listening to the Deluxe Edition before anything else. Kind of figured that would be the case.

Headed over to Oregon this weekend, probably spending the week in Salem. If I remember correctly there's a Best Buy near there? The only problem is finding one that actually has it in stock on release day; that was a big problem for me here when LIP came out. I ended up having to buy it from a little corner record store at like twice the price.

*EDIT- Quick update to some CD news that I posted a couple weeks ago. You can pre order Chad Smith's new CD More Meat from the Newbury Comic store for US $12.99 + Shipping (US residents only). Also, for now, you get your CD autographed for free. The link on the band's Myspace page charges extra for that, but you do get the album sooner.
If you pre ordered the 'Meet the Meatbats' CD last year, you probably ordered it through Newbury Comics.

Anyway, I should go to bed. I think I have doubled my post count since noon. Sorry folks, too much excitement I suppose!

Joe and band

For my 50th birthday we are coming to see you in Napa, but there is no 'club' or possibility to meet you guys!!!! I've enjoyed 5 or 6 of your live concerts, but my brother is coming up from Dana Point to see you for the first time as my treat. Is there ANY WAY to meet you guys? It would be a super treat.

We played "Allways with Me, Allways with you " at my wedding for the bridal entrance, so you guys are a large part of our family culture.

Huge fan

Mark

Michelle - I'll be doing the same thing lol. gonna go to best buy early and pickup the cd with the bonus tracks and give the other to my dad probably.

Cheese - yeah, mine updated earlier today saying it will be here on the 6th instead of the 7th! lol. And I dont know if I will be able to make a show now, stupid crap might be happening then. There is still time for things to hopefully work out so I can though! i'll just have to wait and see =/

That's the single coil prototype 'Experience Hendrix' guitar that Joe's using in 'Two Sides...', right?

Two Sides To Every Story is very nice, very different, relaxed, groooovy. I was ready for a surprise. And more Keneally! (The track could have done with a specialized guest drummer for that funky jazzy stuff. Campitelli's limitations really start to bug me this album).
P Lily thanks for the review link

Hey Joe! Amazing show in Tahoe! DotheStu - Sorry about that brother.

Also, I have a couple new songs "funky jam sandwich", and Cool #9 Jam. I promise i know your song Joe! - but i threw it at the bassist and drummer, both songs are totally improvised. Click Here to Hear Songs

Be thrilled to hear what you think Joe! who knows, maybe you need an opening act!

peace!

Mike Keneally kicking ass and taking names! (Took a while to find something with decent sound quality!) I've loved this guy for sooo long, I almost couldn't believe it when he hit the road with Brendon Small (another under-rated genius, imho) and Dethklok.

smooches,

Big difference between "worship" and "appreciate". I don't worship any one particular musician over another. Each one has there own unique "voice" so to speak.I prefer to look at their respective talent for what they "DO",not what they "DON'T". I certainly appreciate each and everyone of them as individuals.

Chunky monkey - You're right, Joe can pick whoever he likes to drum for him and sometimes it;s good to be loyal to ones friends. However, IMO Jeff is not much better than average and I think ole Flash's point (one I agree with) is that Joe's music could be so much better with a top notch drummist.
