Hey Joe

ive wanted to write to you for quite a long time, but because of the danish "Law of Jante" (you ain't got nothing) i havn't been able to pull myself together

how do you feel about being that famous? aint you somtimes thinking "man i don't want to read my Fan-mail today!" ?

i've got a bit fan-mail because of my job (medic) from the few people i once saved :) - but its more like "its my job" - and i dont think that i would like thousands of mails every week.

im sure you know, but your music satisfys other people, and might even safe life - its incredeble what music does to people

i'm on my way educating from Medic to Para medic, and im still sure that you are more hero than me.

i hope you never stop doing what you are doing

and i hope that you read this post so that i can tell my children that i once wrote to a very cool guy :)

/Kris

PS: Sorry for my bad English, Im from Denmark

Haven't posted in a while......

Logicdjb: I listened to all your songs on ultimate guitar. WOW! How do you write so much stuff!

Phy_3: Ever since I've been on T2J and Satriani.com I've been wondering who wolf2 is and what he's doing.

Anyone interested in Dream Theartre! ....... Before Mike portnoy left I didn't know who they were, but now I think that they're the best non instrumental band out there! I particulary like the Metropolis part 2 memory... (can't remember the name) All the songs on it are beautiful.

I'm so excited only 15 days until Joe, I hope I meet him, and then only another 6 days until I see him again in b'ham.

Joe Satriani, it is certainly ironic that you are playing yourself in a baseball movie soon after hitting such an amazing album so far out of the park! Incredible work by all involved! Is there anything that we can do to get you to film a DVD of this tour??

Grampy Steve- Could it have been Oriental Melody that you were thinking of? Maybe even a little bit of Theme For a Strange World. When I first heard 'Pyrric Victoria', it also reminded me of past Satch, but I almost always relate on of Joe's newer songs to one or more of his older songs. When you said something, I went straight for 'Theme...', but remembered the other comment about Strange Beautiful Music, so I checked that out. Pretty soon I had about 10 songs that I was certain had similar bits to 'Pyrric..', but I think 'Oriental Melody' is the one I was thinking of the first time I heard it.

The more I listen to 'The Golden Room', the more I hear a little 'Banana Mango II'. This is good because I frickin LOVE the Banana Mangoes, BUT, I also frickin LOVE 'The Golden Room'. I was hoping to hear BM II this tour, but I would rather hear Golden, and I don't think Joe will play both at the same show given their similarities.

fatape--My older sister sent me a card with an Orangatan on it. I think she knows something. Also she goes to the San Francisco Zoo on occasion and sees animals there and takes their pictures.

Peace Lily--I'm with ya on "I've Tried Everything"....Eddie Harris. I agree. Joe doing a cover of that would be heavenly!

Al--You have a unique and funny father. I hope to shake his hand one day and congratulate him for helping to raise you and your sister........the most difficult and demanding undertakings in his life I'm sure. I'm sure he and I and your mom have a lot to talk about ;-)....someday. How one so adorable can be so frightening at times :-/ Where are you leading me, man? I want to cut through the NET and just have a conversation human to human with ya.

Michelle--Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy the new BSAWW CD. One day it'll be my turn. I'm supposed to get my CD on or about Thursday, Oct. 7.

Tracie and Austin--I hope to see you both in Oakland on January 13! I'll be wearing my golden attire.

It's gettin' late and I'm ready to get in bed with my sweetie!

Good night all!

Scuba a.o.: you're welcome. GG2 check yer mail. Tracie did it work?

After countless listening on speakers, on headphones, loud, not so loud, by day, by night, Wind In The Trees is still my favorite. A masterpiece you wish you wrote/played yourself. Maybe it's because I love outdoor hiking and biking in pine forests and beachwalks in the wind. Joe have you ever noticed the wind in pine trees sounds very different from wind in broad-leaved trees? Really whispers from different fairytales. And the harmonics layer in the song creates the dreamscape.
The album seems really short to me, maybe because there's so much different stuff on it. Every time the last song ends I feel: allready?

Waiting for the signed CD I ordered with Sony; without tracking. But it's on it's way.

Sunday morning cappucino.

Second listen, and I'm crying
Joe, it's a freaking awesome master job.
I will regret saying this, but as long as you keep delivering this kind of solo work I don't have a problem that you spend the time you want with da Foot.
I cannot still say what is my fav tune of BSAWW, they're all so good !
Prolly "Wind in The Trees" has impacted me the most. You've been so generous to leave to M. Keanelly to close the tune to the end with his lovelly solo. I was doubtfull adding keyboards to your work would work properly, but now I see you've hit the target again.
Thank you Joe for making our lives better. Once again.
