Joe - for setlist ideas please can you include....

Dog with Crown and Earring!! (Turbo236) I'll second that, LOVE that one a lot

An maybe you can throw in Clouds Race Across the Sky, Love Thing, Ghosts, Musterion, and Time Machine and If I Could Fly. I know we had a few of those last time out but I've missed them : )

Peace - thanks for the link and the movie heads up. See you in Jan maybe?

In fact - Cheese, Do The Stu, Blue Moon, Mahavishnu - January peoples? x2 yes? and maybe Skippy Doo

GoldenGirl2 - believe me, I know how fortunate.... I was probably just fortunate to actually make it there intact. But being there during album rehearsals, at Sammy's place, etc - mind blowing. Brings a grin the second I think about it!

JSTony - it could be October 5th already given access to a Wormhole Wizard : )

New World - welcome to Club Satchaholics (almost) anonymous. You joined at a great time

... and here's some I had a go at earlier - yes Scubz - more self promotion lol. BTW, are you using any particular windows based composing/recording software already? I've tried allsorts and not really found anything to my liking

Dog with Crown and Earring

Time Machine

Love Thing

Echo

Ghosts ... again : )

Must learn some more songs because they're all EPIC, and great fun to figure out. You're the best Joe, no doubt

(guess who still can't type?)

I know a lot of musicians who might suggest otherwise, but I find Adobe Audition to be a very good basic and easy to use Windows compatible program.

And Alan McKenna, you can stop laughing anytime you like now!!!

Phydeaux_3 - you see that other photo of joe load and then it gets quickly replaced by the flash version with the rotation/fade animation. people on non-flash enabled browsers will still get the still image (instead of nothing). we aim to please!

do the stu - i'll be at DMB next wed @ concord (i hate the shoreline). been working on his web site for a while now and we're trying hard to get a whole community-enabled version out there soon. it's in testing mode right now so hopefully not long!

@Peace Lily- It's very awesome. But I just thought that it would be a very sad song. I didn't think it would have an awesome groove. But I do love how it sounds.

Okay everybody. I'm leaving for a week to go down the shore. I have the names of all the people who wanted to be part of the shout-outs. I will most likely not have any access to Internet for a week so don't post too many comments while I'm gone. lol Catching up is hard to do. It's like moving through a weeks worth of emotions in a couple of minutes. Ideas being thrown back and forth. Anyway, I will be recording the sunrise on the shore as I was inspired to do so by Joe. "Out Of The Sunrise" will be playing as well as another song that will not be mentioned. You'll have to wait for the video. It will be about...........ummmmmmmm...........let's say around 11 minutes OR less.

AND I DEDICATE THIS VIDEO TO JOE SATRIANI AND HIS NEW UPCOMING ALBUM, WISHING FOR MANY MORE, AND TO ALL THE SATCHOHOLICS ON THIS WEBSITE. AND THANKING GOD FOR LIFE, HAPPINESS, JOE'S WONDERFUL MUSIC, AND THAT BEAUTIFUL THING AT THE BEGINNING OF A BRAND NEW DAY CALLED.............a Sunrise.

Pip- I will be one of the January people; I'll make it to Reno at least- Unless they announce a show in Portland; then I'll have to decide whether to go to one or the other, or dip into savings a bit and get both of them. If I only get one and there is a Portland show then that's where I'll go because I really didn't care for the Silver Legacy, and Portland is a little closer for me, I believe.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for Dog w/ Crown and Earring. The only time I've heard it is the vid that you (Pip) posted of your performance and a very low quality version that is on youtube. I suppose one day I'll just have to shell out the money for the Japanese version of the album, but I just hate to do that for ONE track! Kind of the same situation with iTunes and Ghosts. I'm glad I have LIP to listen to it now.

It would be nice to see Joe blow the dust off some stuff that hasn't been played in a while or in some cases probably never been played live and trade it out for some of the stuff that has become kind of engraved in the set list over the years....

**EVERYONE MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE YOUR SET LIST BEFORE THE TOUR!!!!**

If 15,000 of us have Summer Song and Cool #9 on our set list, then it's a safe bet that those songs will get some pretty heavy play time..

Anyway, the first milestone is September 7th, which is the download date for the single off the album for those of us that pre-ordered the autographed copy!! And then it's off to Chickenhoe II for a few of us!! Was glad to see the traditional countdown to the album release podcasts will be happening too. An exciting few weeks lie ahead!

Man, what a great DMB show tonight! This is the best I've seen them play in the two years since Roi's death. They've changed into a different band (more of a rock band with a horn section instead of a jazz/rock band), but they're still very good.

Highlights include a killer Two Step with a drum solo that was more creative than usual and the first All Along The Watchtower DMB has played in Southern California since 2005. I love their version of that song, and it's been a LONG time since I've heard it...well worth the wait, definitely!

I also enjoyed What Would You Say tonight...Jeff (sax) and Rashawn (trumpet) really jammed it out. Boyd came in with his violin at what is usually the end of the solo section, but the other guys were still playing away so they extended everything for a few more bars. Very spontaneous and cool.

webmaster - Have a great time at DMB next week! Have you ever seen them before? And I'm with you, I think Concord is much better than Shoreline. Concord is one of my favorites in all of California, actually...I made the long drive up there in June to see Dream Theater and Iron Maiden specifically because of the venue.

Also, it's cool to hear that you're working on their website...I think the last few versions of it have been seriously lacking, compared to some of the fan sites out there. I look forward to seeing what you do with it (And I hope you keep all of their streaming music...that's my favorite part of the site. What an easy way to make new fans!).

Back to Satch, what's the tour rehearsal schedule? Do we still have time to update our setlists here to influence Joe, or has that deadline already passed?

Everyone else - I'll catch up on posts after I get some sleep. The Aerosmith pushing and shoving, Chickenfoot in Lake Tahoe, solo Satch in January, and other things...

...Austin...

I love it when us Joe fan's are all on the same page about a particular song (even amongst all the masterpieces) ...especially Dog With Crown & Earring being somewhat of an obscure/rare one.

Pip55

I think your request for it was the fourth one just last night! hehehe :)
I had it in my list, Peace Lily, turbo236, and you all concurred....nice!
Maybe the planets will align and it will happen ;)
I'll have to be sure to check out your rendition. Sounds cool.

Pip55 - just saw a couple of your vids.. Dog With Crown & Earring and Ghosts... nice work.
It was good to see a bit more detail regarding how Joe plays Ghosts. I had tinkered with it a little, and had some of the main riffs down, but this was much more complete. oh, and how cool to sit with Joe (*sigh)
Keep it up!

btw I saw your fave song is Revelation... I love the live version from LIP, especially the outro bit with the Digitech Whammy, how about you?

Hi everyone, I noticed some of you editing your set lists, well I don't want to be the last one.

Came acrossa gem that's been sitting around not getting much daylight. From 1993 Thinking Of You, off of Time Machine. I dedicate this to my daughter Clarissa who in this year was born.

Steve Salas, that would be the one...years ago I remember buying the soundtrack to bill and ted's excellent adventure thinking the solo would be there...imagine my disapointment when I played the song by Robbie Robb...In Time... and the intro solo wasn't there! huge let down...I was just reading somewhere that they only did that intro solo just for the movie...what a shame...I love that solo by Steve Salas...it truly is a special part in that movie...thanks for the help...oh, and the meaning of love is a great song... haven't heard it in a while...nice to hear it again... .. . cool....the setlist is here...
