Okay peeps, I'm uploading a coupla Napa vids to youtube and will come back to post links to them when they're ready...until then, first of all, here's the setlist:
Hordes of Locusts
Ice 9
Flying in a Blue Dream
Light Years Away
Memories
War
Premonition
Satch Boogie
Revelation
Pyrrhic Victoria
Crystal Planet
Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing
Dream Song
Crush of Love
Andalusia
Littleworth Lane
Why
I Just Wanna Rock
God is Crying
Wormhole Wizards
Always With Me, Always With You
Summer Song (I don't want to hear it Mc, I love this song!)
Crowd Chant
Big Bad Moon
24 SONGS PEEPS, COUNT EM!!!
It was like An Evening With Joe Satriani show :))) Very generous setlist I think! And yeah, the fire alarm went off during War, Joe finished the song and then out we all went. At first Joe was up at the edge of the stage shaking hands as people filed out, but it was kinda slowing up the progress of people exiting the building, so he finally ran back stage, lol!! We weren't left outside for too long, and Joe finished the entire setlist even with the break/delay. Have I mentioned lately I love that Joe-guy? LOL!
Yeah, Brian, Chris and myself happened to be outside when Joe drove up, and he so kindly came over to chat with us before heading inside for sound check. Chat, hugs, pics, all that good stuff :D It was just as much fun listening to sound check to see what goodies he might have in store for us! Brian and Austin also got to catch up with Jeff outside the venue after soundcheck, us girls and Chris had gone in search of food and beverage...but we captured Jeff inside too, at the merchandise booth and got hugs there :)
Bought a nice tshirt $25, and beanie hat $25....those were the new items for the tour so far. They also had some older stuff, I imagine there will be much more by the time the tour really gets going.
The opening act, Carter and Bodlavich were fantastic, and they have a new cd out so we bought two of those as well and Chris got his autographed.
Joe was VERY energetic for this show, I don't think he stood completely still for even a second...if he wasn't bouncing, rockin to the beat, walking around the stage, his head was bobbing even when he had to be on the pedals and couldn't walk around...he was movin and groovin the whole night, LOL!! Loved it! And the rest of the band were groovin as well...Chelle calls Jeff cymbal-head cuz that's usually all you can see of him from the audience...I'ma call Alan "hair face" cuz every time I tried to get a shot of him with my camera, it just comes out nuthin but flying hair, LOL!! Good to see Galen and Jeff back on stage with Joe again, I told Jeff we'd missed him! And great to see the new guys, Mike and Alan as well. 5 in the band makes for a very full and satisfying sound.
Got to meet Peace Lily and her hubby, Deb and Wade, lovely peeps and happy to be at their first Joe-show :) Also hooked up with Brian (mahavishnu) and his wife Debbie, and Austin. Webmaster Jon scoped us out with his camera as we were standing in line outside, we gave a t2j roar for him, LOL! Loved the purple spiked hair he had, I'm sure I'll get a pic of that uploaded, along with some others from the show, LOL! Love ya too Jon, nuttin but love for ya :D
What can be said really, about Joe, that hasn't already been said. He's to most incredible musician, and the nicest person/hooman bean we've ever met. We love the anticipation of a show, love being AT the show, love if we get a chance for a brief chat and hug...the only thing we don't like is when it's all over :( But there's always January to look forward to, and so we shall! The new music is outstanding live...
DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!!!

Okay, Littleworth Lane has finished processing :) I'll do an edit to this when the second vid is ready.
LOL...you can hear my Chris say at the end of this vid "That's my favorite!" He loves this song best of all the new ones, just because it's so different from what Joe has done before :)
Here ya go, song #2
Wish I could have gotten the whole night but they told us outside absolutely NO filming of any kind, so I kinda sneaked these two vids...and after all was said and done, security didn't seem to care...geez....I hope more vids show up!!
I'll load up some pics this weekend, but I'm betting Brian's are gonna be 100% better than mine, lol!
And PSS, Joe did a fantastic job singing Big Bad Moon last night, he sang with AUTHORITY!! lol!! Like he was meaning it, and not messin around. Maybe he's found his other "voice" or maybe it's hanging around with Sammy pushing him to sing...I dunno what it is, but Joe needs to sing more!!

Tracie, Thanks so much for the report and setlist!! Glad you all had an awesome time. I hope Joe decides to include Longing. Surely sounds like a mind blowing show. Do you have a pic of the concert tee and/or beanie hat?

Sorry, no pic yet of the tee, I can prolly take one, but it's all black with the same picture on it as what's on the album cover..and the back lists all the city names for the Wormhole tour, starting with Napa, CA, going overseas, coming back to the states and ending with Mexico City, Mexico. I noted that there are 3 stops in Texas and the Mexico City one on the tee that haven't been officially announced yet, so look for those dates peeps!

Just got in from Joe's Cd Signing in LA Best Buy and I am FLOATING once again....But FIRST want to mention that there wasn't a whole mess of people like I thought there would be and for that I am dissapointed for Joe :( There SHOULD of been a line all around that building for him. Whatever. Now, i say I am floating because he remembered me from the CF Indio Casino show! And it was in his reaction towards me, that has made me even more overjoyed there are no words!!! I just didn't expect him to react so happily, i have the most amazing warm fuzzies and I havn't stopped smiling yet. My cheeks hurt from smiling all the way home :) Just no words. I told him i just met him at casino show and he thought about it for a sec. then looks up at me with a HUGE smile and giggle, straight in the eyes and said to me with great enthusiasum, "Oh Yeah! That's right!" then says "And, here you arrre."
It was in the way he said it to me that just really touched my heart! And it really seemed to touch him that "there i was again"....aaawwww,....just a really special moment I feel so, so warm inside. It felt so personal, so special. :) :) :)
He is an absolute angel... There is something so very special about him. He just radiates. That smile, and THOSE EYES. His eyes speak volumes. just sheer volumes alone. And I feel so overjoyed and happy to of met him, twice now, and to know, just how truly beautiful he is. If the music alone wasn't enough. Lord, when you meet him, you feel love tenfold. I know many of you know what im saying, i just wanted to share this.
------He looked so happy tonite!!! I was one of the first 15 so we got to see him taking pictures with the BB crew and whatnot, getting ready, he looked kinda nervous at one point :) What an exciting night! With my guitar hero..........There was cameras filming the whole thing so it will be pretty cool if it shows up somewhere!
Love you Joe!!!!! God Bless u,,, u will always, always be in my thouhts and prayers...

If anyone is listening.....wanted to share that also tonight at the signing in LA was Guitar World's December issue for Joe to sign (he is featured on the cover) and heads up. It is a very deeply felt introspective interview, behind many new song, and the music "shredding" concepts. My favorite song, the entrancing eastern-flavored "Golden Room" and the beautiful "Little Worth Lane" odes to his Mom. .........My condolences to you Joe.
A really great, personal interview with some really nice pictures. And for you guitar enthusiasts like myself- a Satriani lesson to feast our hands and ears on.
yes!
Im breaking into it tommrow.

Joe, please play "THE GOLDEN ROOM" on your tour. What a beautifully fantastic, hypnotic composition. It's gorgeous. And "ASIK VAYSEL" from your last. So amazing... makes me lose all subconciousness.
Thank You Joe, for your inspiration. and for sending your love back out to us.

Hey hi joe ( umm hey joe I FEEL A SONG COMING ON ) this is pete in the uk, I understand you have seen my son on you tube under ( ben eat that joe ) and you got back to him with some comments, thanks for that it meat a lot to him.Now heres the question we are coming to see your show at the Colston Hall in Bristol on the 18th of this month and I was just wondering if it would be possable for me to bring him back stage to meet you and hopefully inspire him some more and to get up off his lazy ass and put his own band together.I'm sure this might help do the trick.I look forward to your reply and hope you have a great tour looking forward too seeing you then cheers Pete . Could the setlist be any more awesome ? It sounds amazing.
Really glad to hear that Revelation and Andulasia stayed in the set and putting Hordes of Locusts and Memories in there is a nice touch too.
I saw a vid of Premonition and it was awesome, you look great out there Joe and you sound even better.

In our enthousiasm for creative force Keneally having a little space in Joe's music, aren't we forgetting Allen Whitman in our praise for a job perfectly done????!!! Allen's playing and sound fit in so well it's almost like it's not there. But let's say HURRAY for Allen Whitman!

THANK YOU TRACIE!
Jon - the chat won't work for me either.. just keep on getting the little bouncing ball forever, with some kind of error message super-imposed over the 'connecting to www.satriani.com' text.
