The doctor said it's only an U.R.I. (upper respiratory infection). Thing is it's knocked me out and I feel like I'm dragging. Coughing and sneezing crud and low grade fever...I want to be well and back to work.....no sick days for a part-timer like me :-( I live on the wrong side of the pond for much in the way of benefits. People say I'm worth much more than every dollar of what little benefits I get........trouble is when I don't believe it or don't want to believe it.
Gotta break through this depression shite!
Joe wouldn't let any of this get him down. And when he is down he has a reservoir to drink from and much inspiration to draw on to bring him through.

Gilded Milli - There's no such thing as free medical care on this side of the pond for the majority of people. In addition to all the other taxes we pay, we have to pay a capped percentage of our wages for something termed National Insurance. This is used to fund the National Health Service, the "free medical care" you allude to. I wonder how you would feel about paying around 6% of your wage all your working life whether you ever got sick or not.

Hey everybody!!! I'm back from my week long vacation from the shore. I recorded the sunrise and I'll upload it on Youtube in 2 or 3 days.
I saw some little treats that Joe might play on the tour. Rubina, Crushing Day, Until We Say Goodbye, A Train Of Angels, Love Thing, Big Bad Moon, and Ceremony would be awesome in the setlist, but it looks a little like the setlist from LIVE IN SAN FRAN.
I didn't know how strongly people felt about Dog With Crown And Earring. The only person I thought that loved that song was michelle. I'll put it on my wishlist for you guys. I wouldn't mind hearing it live either. Searching is a great song, but not for a concert. But S.M.F, HELL YEAH!!!! As you guys know, I haven't been to a concert.........yet.
A couple of months back I posted a comment about if Joe did a concert with all of his "rare, but still excellent" tracks. This was the comment that also included my notice of Joe's lack of ITLIS
recognition.
April 13th, 2010- "I wish Joe would do a live concert and have it recorded with all of his tracks that don't have any recorded play time. Here are some good examples. 1.Hordes Of Locusts 2.The Forgotten Part 1&2 3.Motorcycle Driver 4.Why 5.All Alone 6.Luminous Flesh Giants 7.Secret Prayer 8. A Train Of Angels 9.Clouds Race Across The Sky 10.The Souls Of Distortion 11. If I Could Fly 12. It's So Good"
Everybody's requests lately have been coincedently to my liking. It's as if you guys were inside my brain. lol It's good that to see that we are all on the same track so Joe doesn't have mixed opinions on what song he chooses.
It is my one true desire to see "Time" live at one concert though.
@Do The Stu- That Big Bad Wah song in the video could possibly be in the CD. I'm not sure. Somebody said it might not because it's just a jam. But it has the same feel/sound as Raspberry Jam Delta-V which I think was also a sort of jam based track.
I think that's all I need to say after a week of missing posts. I tried to sum it up all in one post. If I need to say more, I'll post back later.

I read the reviews on Joe's new album on facebook and it looks like we're in for a classic album. I can't wait for Oct Newcastle UK to hear it played live by the great man himself. Davie Mac

If the new single comes out on the 7th (EDIT - I thought I read somewhere that that was the day, but now I can't find it...maybe I'm crazy? Haha.), I figure the podcasts might start sometime the next week after that...? That'd roughly work out to releasing one a day until the album comes out.
So I guess that means we have about two weeks to wait. But if we want to be surprised, maybe we can start the countdown at something like 50 days right now and then jump from 30 to 0 at the very end...haha.
I want new Satch now! ;-)

Do the Stu - if your theory were correct and there are 12 songs on BSAWW, with the Oct 5 date (remember that date everyone, CD release AND my birthday!) we might expect podcasts to be eked out from 23rd September I suppose.
You going to any west coast shows Austin? Maybe boost your tally of Joe-shows?
I thought the pre-order of the CD I did said it would be signed, maybe not for outside the US? Hope so, I really enjoyed receiving the signed copy of Dave Weiner's CD hope Joe can do the same.

Austin- I believe you read correctly; I remember reading somewhere that the 7th would be the download date for "Light Years Away".
Freakyfingers- From what I've seen a lot of people are hoping for some rarities this time around. My only complaint is that everyone here hasn't put Dog With Crown and Earring in their set list, ha!
I've really been getting into Super Colossal lately; especially some of the songs I haven't given proper attention to: It's So Good, Theme For A Strange World, and Movin' On. I have been playing ISG almost non-stop for a week. I would really love to see Joe play that one live. I know I said my 32 song choices were final, but I may have to switch one out for ISG. I need to get on the ball- Super Colossal is 4 years old and I'm still working my way through it. I'm sure Chickenfoot III will be out by the time I get through PSATMOR.

Hey Joe,
Thanks for not having a concert in Delaware.....
Great reason for me to go to Budapest!!!
See a lady I know, visit friends......
She thinks I am nuts.....she never heard your music before.
What can I say........
Any chance to get a back stage pass and an official Joe hat in pink for her? Me, just a hint at the 5th VOX pedal........

Dear Joe
I have never written to a celebrity I never felt they deserved it .Yeah it’s kind of a bleeding heart story and yeah I am applying to the soul I feel when I hear your music .You have always filled me with such inspiration and lately it’s your playing that’s helped me pull through a lot of health problems. I have had cancer for over a year now and with 2 surgeries and 14 5fur3 treatments it’s been a lonely place a place not many have live long to talk about .I’ve been doing much better now but I still am very alone with this thing. I told you’d I’ve been through a lot and I want you to know your beautiful phrasing and tone takes me away when things get rough .I’ve only seen you twice once with G3, You Vai and E., Johnson.(I have now idea as how you did it but you f’n blew them and everyone the in the weeds).Joe I know you’ve had some up’s downs but you always come out on top. I don’t know how chicken foot is going to turn out (I mean you’re a tough act to fallow) you’ll come out on top as you always do.(I personally don’t care for Sammy ) I get the feeling it’s something to do but I do like what I’ve heard. I could be totally wrong but To me you sound kind of frustrated with the whole thing. Maybe you should start something with a non deplume ( a different name and just let it go) It’s with great sincerity and frustration that I write to you today .I said that everyone goes through a lot of shit…I don’t know what happened but I know something hit home not long ago .well damn it Joe like all of us I need some light to shine my way …I’d make it my own way but cancer has taken it’s toll all the way around .So basically what I’m asking is if you could ask your sponsors for maybe to help a long time fan and cancer patient if they could find it with in their time and pockets to help a brother out of funk with a scratch and dent .. If not then just for the hell of it. The guys mark the damn things way out my league I got balls but at 900 % mark up jeeezuz, It sure would shine some light on a cancer ridden potato head like my self. If not it’s cool I know the ass holes only to well. If you have the time at least I could ask for is an autograph, Peace brother and to all treatment and invention.

Austin, on the Road Page, click on the preorder link for the new album...it takes you to a new window and there is where it says the download for the mp3 will be available on Sept 7th....so yeah, yer crazy but not about that, LOL!!
I'm with Skippy...if I remember correctly from Super Colossal and PSATMOR, the podcasts started showing up "x" # of days before the official release date, depending on how many songs. Dunno if Joe will preview the 11 only from the album, or include the 12th possible bonus track, but it should be 12 days prior to Oct 5th...ending on or very near the 4th....so yeah, somewhere around Sept 23ish will be my guess :) But I suppose we all hafta just wait and see. I keep checking for sound samples, cuz those will likely start appearing before the podcasts...at least I HOPE SO!!!
Dinner at my folks' house last night, and we got around to talking about Chris and I going to Tahoe in a coupla weekends. My brother said, "so he's not gonna do any more of his own stuff?" and of course I had to educate them as to the new solo album and release date, and said he's kicking off his tour Oct 16th in Dublin, Ireland. So my mum says in all seriousness, "So you're going to Ireland then?"
LOL!!! Just a walk in the park, tra la, tra la.....I love them so! They unnerstand and accept that their daughter and grandson have an "addiction", and are as supportive as they can be :)) My moms biggest question, every time they know we're hitting the road for a show or shows is....will there be SEATS?? She just can't comprehend the 12 hours standing in line plus show time for ANYONE!! (yes, she thinks we're crazy but we're related so she has no options)
LOL!
